  1. Agreed, but at least it would be different to everyone else (see left in the pic below)
  2. hmm.... could be good for a Stagea owner who wants to do a V35 front end conversion
  3. Exact same kit, yes
  4. So I just received an email with a revised quote from HDi for a kit sent down to Melbourne. Down from the $1088 original quote to $873 due to the shipping address being in Melb Metro. Two things... 1) Fro those who have purchased from HDi before, is this how they usually work 2) The group buy price still stands (20% saving and 1-3 day delivery is not too bad IMO)
  5. Considering that the Nismo S-tune is 20mm lower than RS/RX stock, I would seriously doubt that the Autech suspension is as much as 10mm lower than standard. Garett has an M35 with Autech kit which has S-tune suspension on it, and it looked much lower than the Sage222's yes VQ25det RX Four, build date Dec 2001, no HICAS
  6. Possibly, but it was hard to tell being that there was extra weight in the car at the time.... If I had to put money on it, I would say it made very little to no increase to power levels, but the feeling from the passenger seat was that torque may have decreased a little. Still goes fine and it might just be a perception thing, but the owner also felt this way
  7. Yep, hence what I typed.
  8. Yeah, ride height does look stock, but I don't know how much lower the Autech suspension is (wouldn't be much)... if it is at all lower than RS/RX suspension.
  9. Give them a call, they may have some in stock. The Amsoil ones are guaranteed to last "100,000 miles or 4 years" - I have to back that as I am still using mine no probs Re: Nismo air filter (from the RHD Japan website) "The NISMO S-Tune Air Filter is a direct drop in replacement for your OEM unit and has a urethane/foam composition which will allow for the increased performance." hmm... I don't get any kind of noise from my factory BOV, even at 1.3 bar there are no such noises from the BOV Can you clarify whether the noise happens when you HIT boost or when you STEP OFF the accelerator whilst boosting?
  10. Buggered if I know, interior and exterior are pure RS.... maybe it has Autech suspension?
  11. Well, f**k me! It IS an Autech My apologies mate, I have never seen an Autech model without the bodykit & wheels before lol... nearly 4 years of ownership and still learning
  12. So all this recent talk about the HDi intercooler kits for VQ25det Stagea's had me searching for a "better" price than I was quoted by HDi (just under $1.1k shipped). Thankfully I have found a supplier that can do such a price - it ain't an awesome price, but it is better Anyway, $697 is the price which includes express shipping to your door (1-3 business days from when I place the order). To get this price, we will need a minimum of 10 orders. Kit includes everything (GT2 intercooler, piping, clamps, joiners, brackets) except the slimline fan - which can be found on eBay You can see in the below graph that they are an extremely efficient unit, the GT2 core also incorporates HDi's patented Traverse Aero Dynamic Heat Transfer Element which reduces Air restriction to the radiator which can be of concern with normal bar and plate designs. Group buy will end on the 14th December at which time I will place the order if we have 10 or more that have paid up. I will require upfront payment as I am not prepared to be stuck with extra units (nor do I have the disposable to buy 10 units!) Post here of PM
  13. They have a firmed spring rate. Having been a passenger and driver in Scott's M35 with the "cheaper" BC's, I can tell you that the ride is very nice for a daily. Stay flat around corners and absorbs bumps easily without jolting through the seats.
  14. Would be awesome to have a Senna running in the top 8 or 10 again, that is for sure... now where is Alain Prost's kid?
  15. Quick question (curious), does the car feel a little weaker when accelerating hard by any chance? I know it sounds better.....
  16. I agree with your mate, would love to see him in a good or even reasonable car Have you seen the onboard video from those cars, those HRT's are bloody wild!
  17. Bargain! Should be able to get around that power level from stock with just an exhaust and tune on a VQ25det M35!
  18. I paid that for the Legalis when the exchange rate was at 106 yen to the dollar Couple that with very low commission/shipping and you get the Legalis for $1180
  19. Sorry man, it has an Nissan "Aero" front bumper and the rest of the bodywork is pure RS.... plus the badge on the back says "RS" An Autech Axis (that is what they're called) has a very different front bumper, grill, bonnet ornament, rear bumper, 18" wheels, Autech suspension and colour coded ARX type flared guards as you can see below As you can see on the rear shot, an Autech has an "Axis" badge, certainly not an RS badge.
  20. Great work on this Dale Must... Not... Get... Swept... Up... In... Excitement...
  21. From the looks of last night, tuning via the ouch screen should be a breeze, don't you think?
  22. E85 is tabbed as 105+ here in Vic I believe. At a minimum, you will need larger injectors and pump... but a tune is definitely recommended if you plan to run E85
  23. Actually, even the kits that lower comp to 8.5-8.8 keep the low pressure.... due to weak rods
  24. +1 on getting a dry filter although the oiled ones will only bugger up the AFM if they are over oiled. I have been using an Amsoil EaA filter (as per the G35 Infinity) for a few years now, no probs with it at all Was quite a reasonable price (much cheaper than K&N etc) from these guys Good flow, good filtration, good price
  25. ECU resetting is in the DIY section (in the stickies). Just drive it normally after a reset (it will learn) Oh and squeezing the accelerator will give you more response rather than stomping on it
