  1. Mostly right. Standard system has TWO cats in it. 9 = Dump and has a small cat in it 16 = front pipe with normal low-flowing cat 5 = resonator - only there to keep the dB level down (no cat, but don't tell Nispro ) 2 = muffler (no cat, but again, don't tell Nispro ) Just replace the one in the front pipe when you go to a 3" exhaust (just get a high flowing cat off ebay ) And yes, aftermarket cat-back systems replace 5 and 2
  2. Yep, if they are being a bit difficult Nik, you can use my stock RS suspension to raise the height a little.
  3. +1 You should have heaps of room under there Nik and certainly more than 100mm. As per PM, yep, blue with yellow springs is stock for Autech M35's. Hard to tell from the pic, but is that a stock exhaust? If not, it may sit a little low (Hey, it is all I can think of looking at the rest of the car!)
  4. Haha, I had a bit of a chat to the owners of 2 of them while at the "Cars of the World" show a back on November '08. Was pretty cool to see the original and latest models next to each other (no pic though)
  5. Nah, it is a Kakimoto front pipe (de-cat) as Andy said and is between the end of the dump and the start of the "cat-back". Also, as someone who had one on my car, I can tell you that the pic in the auction is not accurate. Also, from the dump pipe flange, is has about 10mm where the pipe is 76mm, then it flares out to 80mm the rest of the way.
  6. I think you were doing it wrong
  7. Dropping the gearbox x-member is not required.... even without a hoist. Just get it up on ramps/secure axle stands, undo the front pipe at the dump (2 bolts) and f**k around for sometime trying to get all 5 bolts/studs undone so you can remove the dump. Some swearing is recommended for release of frustration Oh, and make sure you do it when the dump pipe is cold! Lastly, WD40 is your friend
  8. Yep. Have a look under your seat. It has been covered before.
  9. Just a little sensitive when someone bashes S15's, eh?
  10. Looks like someone needs some wheels
  11. R33 = Bogan mobile for import owners S15 = Great chassis, very good drivetrain, lovely looks
  12. lol... I have a set at home waiting to go on. Somewhat thicker and stiffer wall that the one's you bought though
  13. Seemingly... I still would like to know how much you cut out to get that beast of a radiator in there
  14. +1 for the Axis front bar.... and but out all the chrome bits. That should open it up for a heap of air
  15. Either will fit, but the Z33 cap will not permit you to use the stock air funnel (it is on the passenger side) Make sure you get a G35 one and take note of the side the cap is on.... oh, and with a larger radiator be prepared to cut a bit of the "glass composite" frame Nothing gay about driving with the arse out, eh Kier? Duuuuuuuude......
  16. agrees.... although you can use 95 in a pinch Get out of here Greenie! M35 workshop manual is HERE, dunno if it mentions anything about octane or not
  17. 2 minutes to remove the gear knob and trans tunnel cover 5 minutes to cut the two wires and re-join them to each other 1 minute to put it all back together
  18. Yes mate, we have the same rods as found in the F50 Cima's VQ30det. As an aside, Nissan also use these same rods in the VQ30dd and VQ25dd.
  19. Hmmm... got better things to spend $10k on thanks (if I had $10k to throw around lol) Only AWD VQ Manual that I know of is the VQ40 Pathfinder which should bolt up (transmission tunnel & bodywork notwithstanding).... but I'm not so sure the gearing would be suitable.
  20. Dunno how many of you are still interested, but I finally got a response on a price/leadtime for a full set of RDA slotted rotors (350z Touring, so direct fit for M35 Stagea's) Price is $480 + shipping with a 4 week wait from when the order is placed. I will need 5 orders so if interested post here or send me a PM
  21. Nismo = yes Mishimoto = no, it opens too early.
  22. I'll save you the dreams Nick. Compliance is a no-go on the 350S (3.5 RWD Manual). The Axis S is fine in RWD or AWD (both auto) though and I believe Northshore have a couple on stock
  23. I fail to see who you would get to evaluate your wife's ri.... oh, you mean engagement and wedding rings
