  1. Farken LOL Andy, don't even get me started. Craig, if you ever look at and say "hey boy, you look mighty cute in dem jeans", I will punch you square in the throat.... but I am a little flattered that you fantasize about me Aaron, don't stop now mate, you are on a roll (btw, don't bother putting that "spank" emoticon near Craig's name - it only excites him more)
  2. Agreed.... and the difference in exhaust note as stated by PN-Mad - well in my experience this has been the case anyway. Exact same system, I don't see there being a difference in performance. You wouldn't bother heat wrapping a cat-back... but dump pipe or possibly front pipe? Definitely. Depends on the engine and driving conditions as to how long it will last... Take the VQ for instance, there is quite a bit of water vapour that goes through the exhaust (and sits in it when the car is turned off). With a stainless exhaust, this is not a problem... or how about if you drive on dirt roads? Having mud stuck to a mild steel exhaust would also speed up oxidation due to the moisture being "held" onto the steel. Even if it was painted, the protective paint could easily be scratched off in areas by stones or speed bumps. Why is modification easier for a mild system than a stainless one? They can both easily be cut and welded so labour charge is the same and both are readily available. Perhaps the prices quoted to you for a stainless system in the past have been a little cheeky? I suppose another plus to a stainless exhaust would be re-sale. There has to be a reason people will state in their sale ads "Full custom stainless exhaust" in they have one and only "Full custom exhaust" if they have a mild steel one. Both systems have their +'s and -'s, but for the sake of a couple hundred bucks I will always go with a stainless unit over mild.
  3. Hate to ask a possibly stupid question, but have you tried connecting the controller via USB cable AFTER you have logged in to your PS3 user?
  4. ^ Also putting vaseline on the clean battery terminals before connecting it up will stop any future corrosion
  5. Agreed.... or a dying battery
  6. Mild steel rusts, that is one reason why people go with stainless. Why so defensive? We are not all F&F wannabe's.
  7. .... and in fly the Wastelanders, like vultures
  8. It'll fit. I gave up on the Mishimoto one too early out of pure frustration, but it is sitting quite happily in Scott's car which has less engine bay space than mine.
  9. Went on Thursday night... awesome show Baroness, Lamb of God, Metallica. 4 1/2 hours of awesome
  10. Hi Simon, congrats and welcome. Great to have some owners from the other side of the globe There is a heap of info on here and we are slowly building up a knowledge base of sorts at m35stagea.info as well.
  11. ^ Good work Kier Removed both engine belts yesterday and installed Gates Racing Micro V belts. mmmm, much quieter engine
  12. Indeed... maybe you should just palm it off to someone with a nice black interior
  13. ^^ Thanks for that Aaron Bit of juggling? I can understand that. It's cool, you still have a couple of weeks!
  14. I think you are confusing vapour injection with liquid injection there Aaron. Two very different systems of LPG delivery. The liquid systems are actually kinder on the engines that petrol is due partly to the temp in which it reaches the combustion chamber is much colder than petrol. I did hear that vapour injections were harder on some engines - particularly valve seats. It that because it removes the cooling properties of liquid? I dunno, but more than a few installers I have spoken to over the years have said the same thing.
  15. No problem, consider yourself "maybe-ed" Ash, my back hurts, please quit riding me. No link as no website. Further info? Dunno what further info I can give... he is part of HDi in Hong Kong... as in "Hybrid Development International" (HERE is a link to their website).
  16. I have, over and over again. The problem is that the LPG vapourises in the lines, thus the need for petrol to get the engine going until the system automatically switches back to LPG
  17. FOr a liquid setup, you need petrol for startup.
  18. *sigh* Business name is "aClub"

  20. As per admin request... So all this recent talk about the HDi intercooler kits for VQ25det Stagea's had me searching for a "better" price than I was quoted by HDi (just under $1.1k shipped). Thankfully I have found a supplier that can do such a price - it ain't an awesome price, but it is better Anyway, $697 is the price which includes express shipping to your door (1-3 business days from when I place the order). To get this price, we will need a minimum of 10 orders. Kit includes everything (GT2 intercooler, piping, clamps, joiners, brackets) except the slimline fan - which can be found on eBay You can see in the below graph that they are an extremely efficient unit, the GT2 core also incorporates HDi's patented Traverse Aero Dynamic Heat Transfer Element which reduces Air restriction to the radiator which can be of concern with normal bar and plate designs. Group buy will end on the 14th December at which time I will place the order if we have 10 or more that have paid up. I will require upfront payment as I am not prepared to be stuck with extra units (nor do I have the disposable to buy 10 units!) Post here or PM So to rehash; Start date - 16/11/2010 End date - 14/12/2010 Best value, and one of the 2 best performing M35 intercooler kits just got even more affordable Supplied by a re-seller of HDi (dunno business name ) Price includes delivery to your door (!!!)
  21. Indeed, it would seem that I have lol
  22. Hha, thanks man, but I'll have to pass. I already converted mine from a 2001 front end to a 2006 Autech Axis S (Stagea) front. If I hadn't done so, I would probably take you up on your offer just to be different
  23. Where did you get that build date from? HICAS? Did you actually read my post and look at the attchment???
  24. Yeah, would need a tune to make use of the higher octane of the LPG. Can't see how just putting it in would make s difference to power in the same way that putting 98 in a car tuned for 95 or 91 makes no difference to power. The positive of LiLPG is that the economy is practically the same as 98PULP, less than half the price/L and can be tuned to make more power than 98.
  25. Like comparing an SS to a Gallardo? Really?? Oh, I hope you are aware that Nissan stopped using inline 6's nearly 10 years ago
