  1. I hear ya brother! I had a large tree branch fall and break over the roof of my Stag last year. left 2 dents in the roof and big scratch marks from the roof all the way down to the grill where some of it resided. I could pop one of the dents out and the scratch marks (mostly) came out after a few goes of Maguires scratch remover. Bastard thing to have happen. You've got my sympathy.
  2. Why not? I am in VIC and have had a hand in moving 4 M35's (so far) from Ben at Northshore Prestige.
  3. 98 is what the cars are programmed for from the factory. So 98 it is.
  4. Thanks Jase. Are you going to do the other brochures too? Love those seats
  5. Those wheels have been on my car for nearly a year now. That black Axis just had Nismo suspension and wheels... There are options such as air filter, oil filter, wheels, exhaust etc that are compatible throughout the range, but if you look at things like suspension (non-ARX), Speedo cluster (non-ARX) or the Nismo kit except the rear spoiler (non-ARX or Axis), alot will not work on an ARX in particular, and the Axis to a lesser degree. I think what Iain was alluding to was that the Nismo M35 Stagea was only available in RS or RX form
  6. hmm, did that M35 come from SSV here in VIC, Ana? You don't see too many with the Gialla front bar and side skirts (Nismo or "aero" rear bumper, perhaps?)
  7. hmmm, that would look great on your car Andy (when?), although I don't think Ben could have picked a nicer wheel colour to compliment the dark blue. (could use a bit of dish though ) Hate to ask Ben, but when does it put torque to the front wheels?
  8. Nice Ben. Very nice
  9. Even if you aren't a mechanic, they are a great car to learn on.
  10. True. My wife just looks at me as says "just don't tell me about it!" while walking off. Having said that, she loves the comfort when she is a passenger and definitely loves the power when she does get to drive it (very rarely)!
  11. try Nissan first. make sure you get a part number for the correct motor (different door = different part number) and have it put through Parts Master to see if any models here use the same part. if you do not like the price that Nissan quote, maybe try Jesse Streeter ("streeter" on here) as he offers a shipping service direct from Japan and is very good to deal with for anything that does not require a container for shipping. Just make sure you have the part number for him.
  12. +1 Just with more time and more km's
  13. If you want room and performance, then there is no contest. Go with the M35. I think you are confusing the GT-8's CVT8 transmission with the M35's 5 speed. The NM35's that can currently be complied in Australia only use a 5 speed auto. Easy to service and not expensive to replace if need be. I would recommend that you drive both (obviously) and compare them directly. You cannot compare the Subie with the 2-door, 8-speed, RWD V35. Completely different cars. Well, as standard the ARX has the most equipment, but you can get all of it in the other models too... except the poxy 180mm ride height
  14. You are aware of the oil leak from the rear of the right bank on the VQ engines, yes? 2 consistent issues throughout all VQ25det powered M35's. 1. The turbo was a dealer replacement part at 100,000kms due to the fact that it is running more boost than the ceramic wheel can take. 2. Oil leak from the rear right bank, whilst minor, is a pain in the arse. This issue is also on the V35, Z33, and G35 as far as I know. What are you work conditions? What are you expectations and wants from your car? Maybe if we know more, we can give you a better opinion of which car to go for.
  15. Only when washing around it and getting a streak free finish
  16. Yes. (beside the number plate and please excuse the ride height - old pic)
  17. Screen/Navi/camera was an option for both the RS and RX. My RS came with all of them... and black leather which I guess was also an option. Oh, and I agree with the adjusting to the fly by wire and the gearbox... still is annoying though
  18. The only M35 that cam in manual was the Autech Axis 350 S (my avatar). It was RWD with a 6-speed 'box. You are correct that there were NO manual AWD M35's from factory.
  19. Dog hair - check (although it is more on the mat I can remove and on the floor mats than in the back) Dog scratch marks on driver and passenger front doors - check Dent on roof from large tree branch falling on it - check (all the scratches from where the branch slid arcoss the roof and down the bonnet did buff out though ) Gutter rash on one rim - check Sticky, dirt/dust-covered engine bay - check *sigh* Still looks great when clean though (except the engine bay)
  20. +1 We could maybe fly Andy down here and have a meeting point where the conversions could be done? Glad to hear it was good news Andy.
  21. Nah, the fishbowl cocktails were consumed by the ladies... I relegated myself to only coke Nice spot by the beach mate. Very nice.
  22. As soon as you put the car in reverse, the camera should automatically display on the screen.
  23. Cool. I left the Mexican place near Aspendale station at that time and was taking my friends back to Carrum Downs. Was probably me... unless it was a ridiculous coincidence. Oh, and the pearl blue can look very silver.
