  1. *drums fingers impatiently*
  2. Dude - that is a really nice car!!! to be any help at all to you, we need a few more details on your ride tho. Is it a 25X (four wheel drive) ? Is it series one or two? (Neo or non neo motor - maybe a pic of your engine bay?) Oh, and +1 for posting in the stagea section. Most of the people around here don't know (or care) much about stageas
  3. don't go to a dealer for the log book service - they are rip off artists. There are plenty of other palces you can go to without voiding your warranty. IMO gas is still the way to go for economy without losing power. I take it the egas falcons are sequential injection?
  4. There are still no friends to display!! LAWL! We are gonna have to start calling you Scott!

  5. Does this mean you are not going to have the shaggin wagon at motorvation Brad? Or are you ramping up the rice factor in general ?
  6. OMFG!!! Problem solved!!! *runs home to try it out*
  7. afaik this isn't a new thing - you can buy a monaro in the UK (vauxall) and get the snail puffer fitted as a dealer option and keep your factory warranty. Holden have always under engineered their cars on the showroom floor. You just have to look at the current LS1 championships for UNOPENED LS1 powered commonwhores.
  8. So, being a card carrying member with the money burning a hole in mah pocket still doesn't get me a guaranteed spot? *cries* might as well go and eat worms.
  9. I dunno, you young blokes of today Srsly, there have been some amazing leaps in the understanding of the processes. f'r instance, did you know that there has been a ECU developed here in australia specifically for boosted LPG applications? Check out a back issue of Perth Street Car (Vol 14 No1) for a really informative article and Q&A with one of the original developers. http://www.perthstreetcar.com/index2.htm
  10. The problem is, 99% of gas setups are set towards economy rather than performance. Maybe the guys fitting and tuning them are too used to working on taxi's? There are actually enormous performance advantages for boosted cars running on gas, but they have to be set up properly. Have a read here to understand the difference (I don't personally agree with some of their assumptions, but it will give you a good understanding of the difference between gas systems from 10 years ago compared to gas injection systems available today) http://www.gas-injection.com/lpg-gas-injec...chnologies.html Performance issues with gas have been disproved again and again. There is a hilux 2wd ute running around Perth at the moment with a RB20DET running str8 gas and after watching this thing bust a few skids at last years motorvation (biggest WA car show we have) I can say that they will DEFINATELY not make you car slower.
  11. Seconded (and thirded and fourthed) Hey Kirstie - how come you aren't going to be driving? Too scared you are going to show Brett up? It will be good to catch up with you guys again regardless.
  12. Do a search - our resident suspension guru and one of our mods both use theirs to tow race cars......
  13. Dibs on the first non-stagea spot!!!!! Also, is this a skid pan only event, or will we be able to have a crack at the track as well? And Brad - Sif you have work to do during the day
  14. I am SO there!!! *edit* - my goat has a hair dressing appointment on that day Can I bring my inflatable sheep?
  15. Hey Brad - does this rain dance involve feathers combined with partial nudity? If it does, then count me in!!!
  16. I was going to post a bit of a rant here about the multitude of things you will learn about your car here, but I cbf'ed and besides, like everything else in life, you only get back what you are willing to put in. If you want to come, then do, you will have a blast, but if you come with an attitude like that you will probably hate it. If you really believe you know every single thing there is to know about how your car behaves, then maybe you should come down just to teach the rest of us how to drive properly?
  17. Yep - they have had an R34, an S2 Stagea and a V35 all at Carousel (at different times) since the end of last year - I just laughed and didn't stop to check it out. Sif wanna win a second hand car!
  18. I dunno about the S2, but in my S1, when you floored it, 2 things happened - the trans automatically switched to "power" mode, and it shut the aircon off until you lifted. The ECU in the stagea's never ceased to amaze me how intelligent it could be with things like that. As for checking the aac valve, try this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Di...html&hl=aac but my understanding of it, is that if this was the problem, your fuel economy would be up teh poopoo all the time, and it would "hunt" at idle too.
  19. There is only one way to sort this out... Both of you naked in a wading pool full of lime jelly.
  20. Just make sure you get your hands on the VIN# before you hand over any money, and get someone to FAST it for you, that way you will know what is std and what has been messed with.
  21. WA Suspensions - ask for Brad He da man
  22. I would be looking at the air con compressor clutch. There is a chance that the throw out arms on the inside of the clutch could be dragging their feet due to incorrectly aligning if the clutch is engaged at startup (the crank nose on many 6 cyl engines has been known to "wander" about a bit at start up) It could also be causing the main spindle of the compressor to "pole" out if it is a bit worn. The moral of the story, is i would be looking at the compressor before anything else.
  23. Fuel line problem was completely different with the V8's - had something to do with the quality of one of the lines AFAIK. Holdens are still crap but.....
  24. my sentiments exactly. It may appear to be quite old, but when it works as well as it does, then why f**k with it? V8 Supercars are far from the only racing series to use it too.
