Nah, the wheels are lovely however, the lack of suspension travel, the lack of guard to wheel clearance, the bloody awful wheel alignment and the fact that it would handle like a snail lost in a bucket of custard due to the stupid camber used to acheive all of the above.... and I still think they are ugly compared to a well sorted S1

actually its a fair bit more than that. As 98 octane is usually 10-13c a litre more expensive than 91 RON (that works out to 40-50c more per gallon to you Grant) and then you calculate how much extra you are spending over a 12 month period it adds up to a basic mod per year. ie saving on $6.00 per tank @ 1 tank a week for a year = $312 in a year, and that is worst case senario. I would rather go without a burger a week, use the cheaper 98RON and save enough money to buy a front mount or a quality BOV, or a new stereo head unit!

^^+1 about 73% of all serious accidents involving motorcycles last year were the fault of car drivers. Being in the right doesn't help you when you are laying on the road in a crumpled heap man. I was raised on bikes from the age of 9 and I can say that in the last 10 years it has got too stupidly dangerous out there for any sane person to ride a bike in this city on a regular basis. My last bike sat in a shed untouched for 6 months before I sold it because I became convinced the last words I was ever going to here was "I didn't see him...." *cough* GTR *cough*.....

atmo BOV's usually have a trumpet looking thing on the side to help make the annoying noise (that is actually illegal in WA and the cops really hate them). If you do a search you will find quite a few very learned people on this site that recommend leaving the std one in place unless you are going with a highflow or stupidly big AM turbo, but its up to you. I share your n00bness to imports, but I was a Ford man myself before the Stagea (ie seeing the light)

Nah, thats a bit of a crock, you can polish SFHC (Super Fine Hard Coat - its a clear coat paint treatment put on in the factory. If you Stagea has it SFHC will be on your back window at the bottom) What you need to do though, is stick to pure wax type polishes and avoid the buggery out of anything even mildy abrasive. The abrasive cuts into the clear and leaves really nasty swirl marks in it that you will never get out. Mind you, I have never actually polished mine and the water still beads every time it gets wet so I don't see much point.
