  1. theres your issue for starters (long way off), and if tuned correctley an SR20 wont like an additional 15 degrees either....
  2. I have a customer with a short on the way to his engine builder, should be real interesting. He went a bit crazy, Greddy T88GK, APEXI V-max spl (10000rpm kit) head kit (290degree 11.5 lift) full cnc porting etc... i cant wait to tune it
  3. i tuned a 200,000km rb30et NA single cam (9:1) with a gt30 and sc14, it made 300rwkw @ 22psi (full boost at 2000) on pulp only mod to engine was arp head studs and a 2nd hand rb26 greddy head gasket we had lying around. With E85 we would have seen mid 300's easy. Dont be scared with the comp on E85 10:1 ftw.
  4. the haltech will work fine off the vacuum balance rail (factory boost gauge port @ the back)
  5. if you fit a nismo t/stat make sure to adjust your engine temp compesation maps or good bye fuel economy and power.
  6. could be just about anything.
  7. do it properly, the end results is well worth it.
  8. it will save about 5mins if your getting a remap as the socket is already soldered in place. Some of these remaped (chipped) ecu's are good but many are not much more than a raised rev limit and speed cut.
  9. this is an old generation kit, it was replaced by the T517Z internal gate kits as the results are similar yet the x gate kits were 4x more expensive. Td05-16g specs comp (46.5mm in 60mm outer) Ex side (47.6mm and 56) T517Z specs comp (48mm in 68mm outer) Ex side (49mm and 56)
  10. the yen we stopped about 18months ago.
  11. delphi and vdo do the senders, ive used delphi (same as motec) for fuel pressure logging with datalogit sensor was around 90-120.
  12. still gonna cost you another 500 (so 1500) to get tuned at most decent shops... i prefer the PFC in 33's to though.
  13. let me know if you want to I thought you'd be sick of the dyno by now yours would be free.
  14. still double as no-ones gonna bother tuning it for a couple of hundred, was my point.
  15. Hows yours going anyway? still a monster? if your ever down this way feel free to drop past. i just gave up, gave the info direct... if he was local i would invite him in to look at the results in person. Im not going to post a customers result without their consent much like i wont post anyones tuned maps unless asked to by the customer (joeyjoejunior was happy to post both his graphs and maps others prefer to stay off the interwebs)
  16. haha @ 2k that buys alot of stand alone ecu's, i feel bad charging 1k, but it aint worth my time touching it for any less.
  17. only if used with a firewall bladder. Ive seen a few outcomes of split mech fuel lines in cabin..... nasty as hell. Even oil is a bit of a gamble, i remmeber being at winton and tony (biante series) had one burst (braided to) half way down the straight covered the pedals and scalded his legs... evil shit.
  18. double that. http://www.nistune.com/boards.htm DRDRIFT is good at his job and that price is very fair, i wont do it for less than 1k
  19. Cant wait to see one come through, if you can find a decent donor car to test it (mechanically 100%) i will be happy to subsidise the tune for R&D.
  20. There are two of the turbos i was talking about earlier there. I have PM'd (few days back) Toy15 with the turbos we have used and explained why i have not listed them here.
  21. ive seen a set of camtechs match a similar setup running the hks step1's.... for a third of the price. Camtech cams FTW
  22. i have a s14 customer that whants to run the flex fuel sensor (not interested in the content advisor), just waiting on the parts atm (not cheap). we are just using the 0-5v inputs on the ecu to get it working. will be interesting.
  23. check your other thread
  24. The pics you post show adjustable actuators, so they are going to be fine save the cash for a ebc. I like to keep the physical gate pressure (cracking point) and the ebc set pressure within 10-odd psi as much more generally results in differing amounts of boost drop. In the pic below the adjustment on the end of the actuator allows you to "preload" the amount of pressure on the wastegate flap. there should be enough adjustment to stop any large amount of boost drop. Most factory actuators dont have the ajustable actuator rod.
