  1. meh just mix methanol with 98.
  2. accel pump adjustment
  3. my thought too, if the old one was off for awhile it could be perished or missing.
  4. ive tried 3 cordless rattle guns (hitachi, bosch, Makita all JUNK) my current one ive had for 4 years and use it everyday. Its a 18v snap on item and is the best one around, its damn expensive but is spot on. It comes with 2 batterys and i only have to swap it once or twice a week i have a few air guns (GP, bluepoint and snap on and again the snap on / bluepoint one is hard to beat)
  5. DD is a disney dyno they are actually a pretty good dyno but they are definately not even close to the best. It will be a shame to see them fold, im sure they will most likely restructure and re-emerge. dyno dynamics are by far the best marketed dyno is australia and is sales show it but if you have ever used any thing else you soon see the shortcomings when compared to the competition. Workshops tend to be sheep when buying dynos. Ive used Mainline, dynamic test sytems, mustang and dynapack and purchased a dyno based on its abilities not the sales pitch and price... in fact i paid more for a lesser known dyno (in aus anyway).
  6. we do ALOT of towing and found both the hilux and navara to be pretty good espescially after a flash tune.... both were good (navara was my pick) but we ended up old skool 7.4 litre v8 now Navara 147kw 484nm Hilux 1472kw 412nm
  7. Any excuse to torment cats... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1joC1n7el08
  8. nah its definitely a GM 10bolt live axle. Front engine car.
  9. Fark is that the millennium falcon?
  10. haha mine too... sies III wagon cause i was a surfy dude.
  11. nah its either gmh (v series) or yankie, it is common practice in the states to rear mount turbos on V6 and V8's as it is less visible to cops and much more room. Quite a few kits for sport compacts over in the states have kits to mount up at the rear. Do a google search you will see heaps.... lots of dodgy ones though. If done correctly it can work well i remmeber seeing a 6 sec PRO STREET mustang (late model) at an american car show with two t51r's in the boot space. with boot shut it just looked like a killer tubbed street car. Here is a US site with a MONARO (GTO) admittedly its an abortion but it is a twin setup http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343395 Here are the better kits http://www.ststurbo.com/home
  12. There seems to be a bit of a mis understanding with "BOLT on" statements made about HYPERGEAR turbos, the only BOLT ON's are the highflows the rest require, clocking, fabrication and DIY mods like water and oil lines. The only part that bolts on is the 4 turbo to manifold mounting bolts.
  13. and bingo was his name O
  14. its half full, get back to work...drinking.
  15. Are we sure something hasn't happened post tune, everyone seems quick to judge.
  16. can you get an IR temp gun and check the exhaust runner temps on the dyno (crude but i doubt you have egt in each runner) i would compare 1234 especially 2 and 4 and see what the diff is, you will have to do it mid pull.... not nice or safe leaning in a red hot bay,
  17. your customer service is second to none i will definitely say that. I don't think i've had an unhappy hypergear customer through the shop ever. Let me know the results once its back together.
  18. ask the shop what the seat and nose pressures were.
  19. its fine as is, the stock injector you have fitted is not really indicative of its ACTUAL protrusion as its not in the rail. The RC's seems to be pretty well placed, nearly perfect even Just for a comparison the rb injectors would protrude about 2-3mm more only, if you look at a 1jz or 2jz that use the tri hole pintle like the RC's they are about 15mm RECESSED into the plenum. Fit, start = thrash.
  20. to maintain zero when block or head gets machined, from factory it is generally in the middle.
  21. valve springs... worth a check.
  22. Bugger..... was it forged or stock? 21psi is getting a bit excessive on an old engine too.. you can see why i dont like anything over 19psi unless i know the car intimately.
  23. the factory inlet cam changes valve timing automatically, so no need to play with it.
  24. yup for about 2 pulls then they become heaters.... R34 coolers are better than 32 and 33 but are still junk.
  25. Mahles are dome too. go the 4032 Power PAk not the 2618 Pro series as they are severe duty short life pistons.
