  1. i think you will find thats the tractive effort scaling.
  2. lot of other issues to contend with other than the dump flange. dont know why you would want to run such crap turbos to begin with (they are good for scrap metal only), gtr turbos second hand are the same price anyways.
  3. JUN + greddy = same same.
  4. i remmeber std internal r33's running high 10's done by CREATD a few years back and low 11's on radials. and one of their white r33 gtr's did a 10.60.
  5. we did one with the greddy inlet manifold and used the secondary injector holes as the fogger bosses and it worked great. Ive always wanted to use the nos injector nozzles but never had the chance. Most of our nos installs are on 2JZGE, VG30DE and RB25DE's ...
  6. Thats what i wanted to hear, i know how good MD is and i figured it would have been a piece of cake for him. I thought he found a fundamental issue hence your reason for pulling the ecu Can you wait till you return to SA to tune the V88 or is the GC thing a permanent thing.
  7. Most ecu's have this function, remaps can even do it. Neither here nor there. I just ordered a mx5 setup from Adaptronic for a turbo steup we are doing and the service outshone anyone (had ecu in my hand within 20hrs), i wanted the new ecu to have a play but the customers budget dictated the older one so i will live with the connectors this turbo setup should really give the ecu a workout so we will see how we travel.
  8. no good, id love to see the maps out of that ecu to narrow down a reason. We use quite a few links and e85 (any fuel for that matter) has given me no dramas. MD does your tuning yeah? surely he has reasons, being reputably one of the best tuners around.
  9. 180rwkw for an auto is REAL good, i would not be complaining Manuals top out around 200-210rwkw. as for 300rwkw reliable out of a RB25 i could post about 6 cars that see regular drifting days (about 6 -8 events a year) and if they can endure drifting they can endure anything. These cars have also ran @ other dyno days. DA driver Chris de jager is one of them and if you think a TD06SH-25G on a rb25 making 300rwkw is unrealistic i dont know what else to say... ps his motor has done three seasons in the GFB car before we tuned the TD06SH-25G in his new S15....
  10. its a pc issue, what version datalogit and what kb rate are you connected at?
  11. Rb25 with 8cm or 10cm T67, best combo (that ive seen through my shop) on a rb25 for your application.
  12. 300-330rwkw on a good one. we have a couple now getting round with T67's making lazy 320's (ie sensible boost etc.)
  13. sorry been flat out for a few weeks and had not logged on
  14. i bet the plug has banana'd when it was done up, make sure both ends are pushed all the way in not just the centre. If it had a air controller on it the AFM wires will be intercepted, they will need to be found and rejoined.
  15. got a few harnesses for $150 here.
  16. I doubt it is re-pinned internally you still need to swap the 10 or so wires in the connector
  17. We have been doing quite a few epa cars latley with nistune (Nistune is the easiest and IMO the best EPA option) BUT a competant tuner can get a microtech through the epa polution process aswell (it is difficult though). I just did a FC rx7 with a microtech and even without the air pump passed its emmisions test.
  18. Hmmmm... not likely lets pluck some numbers
  19. totally useless setup for drift.
  20. to be honest i gotta ditto that post too there are so many better choices why limit yourself to a microtech. we use and tune them but only if the customer cant afford something decent... they work but seriously lack any finese or 'real' control.
  21. huddy anything over 18psi (ish) brings up this CEL There is only one boost sensor and it is used for fuelling and boost cut etc, becareful what you do with it as it is integral to the mapping, if you plug it to stop the overboost CEL it will lean out 1 whole A/F which can lead to issues obviously. if you want to have a chat drop me an email with the exact issue or cal me at the shop 2moro before 12 (leave a message if it rings out as i'll be on the dyno)
  22. yes it does, BUT most cars get tuned via the tailpipe as it is perfectly accurate for power pulls etc as the velocity of the gasses many inaccuracies. Idle cannot be checked properly at the tailpipe without a myriad of tricks and experience. Any big power setup gets a specially placed bung for tuning @ my shop, and careful egt monitoring if the customer has the budget. To be honest experience is more important than placement on 95% of tuned cars.
  23. not a problem but fitting a rb25 will cost you less than a 1/4 of the price.
