AE86 For Sale - Brisbane - $2500
AzzurrA replied to AzzurrA's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
The car is now sold The new owner of the car took delivery tonight. Jason -
Hi All Selling on behalf of my little brother: He has a 1983 AE86 (Aus Delivered) for sale. He's decided its time to sell both his AE86 and Series IV RX7 (AE86 was his daily driver) and move to something newer. Car is stock, with 373,836 km on the clock Interior is in pretty much immaculate condition Engine blew the head gasket the other day (as to be expected after 373,000km) and is leaking oil into the radiator (not water into the cylinders) and running on 3 cylinders. Car is for sale as is (i.e. won't be sold with roadworthy/rego) for obvious reasons (headgasket). Was registered and being driven daily until headgasket blew. The car has very little rust (a little in the passenger side doorjamb, and on the passenger side rear wheel arch) Car is relatively straight (a few little carpark dents where people have opened their door into the car, but thats about it) but the paint is fairly oxidised and could use a new paint job if you're looking to go into shows etc, but would be fine if you're using it for a drift car Perfect candidate for engine conversion/drift car etc! will get pics within the next couple of days He's looking for around $2500 You can contact me on [email protected], or by calling 0402202978 Jason

Oil for Mechanical LSD Diff
AzzurrA replied to Chris32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
would you guys recommend these oils for a factory GTS-t LSD? (That frequently single-wheels anyway, only picking up 2 wheels occasionally, so i have the suspicion that it is indeed farked) -
give me some notice, so i can put some money aside (damn, suspension is expensive :|), and i'll be in, and i'm pretty sure i can get a second, and maybe even 3rd person as well.

I played from BETA 2 (Which was out in what... 1998ish?, until about Beta 5.5, then stopped 'coz i thought it was going downhill... after that, i would play each new beta for a week or so until i got sick of it 'coz i felt it lost the essence of counterstrike. Anyway, started playing source when it first came out, and now i'm back into it

ping of 140 is fine... i'm on 56k, with a ping of between 250 and 300, and i own most cablers [MOS]Greenberet
-
hey luke, what sort of condition is the LSD in?
-
it was really dark purple
-
daveo... i know the guy very well, and it pulled a 12.7
-
ok, i found this info on the Tommy Kaira website... i don't know if they have any left, as its been a while since i've been there... i think there is a link to it in the japan section of SAU
-
i have them on mine and quite like them?
-
i use it on my R32... i'm quite pleased with the results P.S. when those photos were taken, the wax was around 2 weeks old, with 2 washes between its application and those pics
-
i'd be interested in knowing the rates as well... i couldn't even find them advertised anywhere!
-
someone should start making carbon/kevlar mix parts... Entire cars are made out of this stuff (Holden Giocattolo most notable car made locally from it) and when it gets smashed, the kevlar holds it all together (well something does, i'm pretty sure its the kevlar) and it smashes, but holds its shape, pieces don't go flying off etc... Also, for bonnets, whats the point? (apart from if you have a cooling problem) as an Aluminium GTR bonnet is probably only .5 to 1kg heavier than most 'carbon' bonnets out there

I've got some great shots from the morning, it will take me a while to upload them on 56k though, so bear with me

Will This Setup Work with an R32 GTS-t?
AzzurrA replied to AzzurrA's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
P.S. Roy, the Bilstein shock specs above will be the same as your ones that you got with the whiteline kit, if that helps you in any way (i.e. if you want to know the specs) Also, what is it with Fulcrum slagging off Whiteline? The last couple of times i've called Fulcrum about Whiteline stuff (They're supposed to be the QLD Distributors for Whiteline) I got "oh, we don't deal with Whiteline, we think they're crap" and then they tried to sell me their (Fulcrums) $2500 coilovers plus all this other crap i wasn't even enquiring about.... yet when i called Whiteline they said for me to speak to the distributor, i asked who that was, and they said Fulcrum? -
the 'funny thing with the heat waves coming of it' would be the cat converter temperature light... i.e. if your exhaust gets too hot

Will This Setup Work with an R32 GTS-t?
AzzurrA replied to AzzurrA's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Finally Got some time to look at this some more... Yes Roy, i've been getting alot of my information from Yourself and Sydneykid... The Measurements for the centre of hub - guard, are, as it sits right now... (Give or take a few mm) Front Left - 315mm Front Right - 305mm Rear Left - 340mm Rear Right - 335mm Now, the Alignment Settings are as below (at my last wheel alignment): Front Camber: Left: 2 degrees 35 minutes Right: 2 degrees 17 minutes Front Toe: Left: +1.4mm Right: +1.1mm Front Castor: Left: +4 degrees 8 minutes Right: +5 degrees 52 minutes REAR Rear Camber: Left: 1 degree 33 minutes Right: 2 degrees 1 minute Rear Toe: Left: +0.7mm Right: +0.6mm Now, with raising the car up to around 350mm front and 360mm rear, how much roughly would you think that those settings would improve? (I.e. roughly how much camber would i get rid of on the front and rear etc) And would it then be possible to use the Adjustable camber bushes to get the camber to a nice workable level? Will the castor be affected by raising the car? I got some details for the Bilstein Shocks today, and was wondering if someone could help me out with figuring out what sort of springs would match them well? Bilstein B461473 - $266 Inc. Front Bump @ 520mm/sec 635n Rebound @ 520mm/sec 2895n Bilstein B461474 - $266 Inc. Rear Bump @ 520mm/sec 325n Rebound @ 520mm/sec 1395n He quoted the rates in Newtons, and i'm not entirely sure how to work out what sort of springs they would suit? (I was never overly good at maths ) -
Possibly Worlds Cheapest Coil Overs
AzzurrA replied to R332B's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
