  1. Do a search. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=69220
  2. Warriewood carpark !!! OFF COURSE!! Thanks thats a good one and I've actually been there before
  3. Ah good stuff fusi0n - that's good to hear. Unfortunately that can't be it for me cos it worked before and I bought it from Jaycar (correct cable). Unless there's a bent pin in the controller cable... hmm.. thanks for the theory I'll unplug and see if it kills the resistor. If you're in Sydney I'm happy to help ya - I'm North Shore area. PM me if that suits.
  4. heh a good rule is not to downshift into 1st. If you have trouble doing it you shouldn't be doing it, especially not 15kmh
  5. Keep reading... It's possible, but never the less you're talking out of your arse. That's obviously not what we've been talking about. ... Considering a WRC car and a road driven STI/EVO are a "bit" different I would imagine they'd sound different too. I also doubt the WRC cars have BOVs that are blocked up. Either they have em, or they don't. You say that BOVs don't flutter. Here you say they do. I guess it doesn't matter anyway because I have a s15 stock BOV and even with 20psi it handles it fine and goes a nice woooshkaa through my piping when it "blows off". Flutter - noun, Rapid fluctuation in the pitch of a sound reproduction resulting from variations in the speed of the recording or reproducing equipment. If we take out recording and reproducing equipment for the sake of what the word is being applied to here I think you'll find BOVs do flutter. They just don't cause reverberations unless they're tightened. So thanks for dropping the IQ 200% ... :Bang:
  6. Found these while resting at work. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=7974096070 I dono if they're the right dimensions for a31 but if anyone is investigating it might be worth it? Dono if I'd trust my life to $30 product though.
  7. Is that open at night on fridays? That'd be a good idea I think. :uhh:
  8. I think if you get it painted some scrutineers might not like it - the stickers shouldn't be messed with at the very least.
  9. I'll try to upload those photos today and send you a link if you still want them.
  10. Yes. Start with it fully open and close it gradually.
  11. Doesn't look good for me but I can try Still waiting for help fitting my gearbox and clutch O_o
  12. Yeah me too. And for those saying it's pipe reverberation it's not - in the HPI video the BOV is visible to see it's got one, but not close enough to see what it's like. It also sounds different to the reverberation VLs etc get. Someone mentioned the wastegate on WRCs I think it'd be great to get my car sounding like them off-throttle, but I think the grumble is anti-lag so er... yeah I won't mess with that, although my 351 used to do it If anyone knows what the wup wup wup one is please lemme know as it's the only one that would interest me
  13. Thanks guys I'll check it out. And yeah my gf is pretty quick she got clutching down first go and didn't stall till about 30 mins. But it's still scary/funny. I've already saved my car from being plowed into the wall - she got her confidence up and decided she could try to get out of the carpark to the road... so ... Yeah a bit too close to the wall for my liking.. ahh thank god for the handbrake. lol shes so cute :aroused: That's the motivation for big wide open spaces. Willoughby leisure centre there's memories!! I recall the upper carpark is nice n open but frinite might be cars and people there. I'll checkout beaumont road on the map to see where it is thanks Liz. Any more suggestions?
  14. Hey guys, I'm teaching my gf how to drive (no not in the cefiro) and I'd like to know where I can take her. She's a fast learner but she's not ready for the street, car parks are fine but they need to be big and the one right near our house happens to be rugby night on Frinite My question is around the Northern Beaches/North Shore/City does anyone know of a big stretch of quiet car park you can actually get into 2nd gear and upto about 40km for a while without having to worry about crashing if someone is a total newb? Warringah Mall rooftop carpark is a bit scary cos it still has poles and stuff. Thanks guys :aroused:
  15. I'm also after a particular sound. If anyone's a fan of futurama it's like zoidberg "woop woop woop" heh heh. It's sort of "wup wup wup" or just "wup" in a higher pitch. It's definately not a woosh or psst sound. It was featured in a HPI dvd on a 4 door r32 with crazy rims and custom paint (from a K class car I think they said). It drifted around on the track and I believe the last thing they said was "lets see if the driver can keep the panels straight" or something. Anyone know the one?
  16. heh that's a nice ad. and a nice set too I'm with Roy I can't count the amount of times I've nearly come to grief over some hot young thing :aroused:
