hmm, any suggestions of internet stores gratefully recieved too. Sam, yeah I've been fairly happy with HHT. as for how I post I just hop in the car and drve around till I get a good unsecured signal. and I right in saying that the http://au.billion.com/product/wireless/bipac5200n.php would be just as good for my purposes as the http://au.billion.com/product/wireless/bipac7300n.php ? It seems like the 7300 just has more features that I wont use. All I want is an ADSL2+ model and a wireless router all in one, that is good enough for me to use 2 pcs and a PS3 with decent speeds.

one small correction. the dark wheels are available as an option on the base model in japan. and they are standard on the premium. and standard on the black edition. the base model comes with the light wheels and dunlop run flats standard but for approx $1000 you can upgrade to a set of the dark wheels with the bridgestones. it will be a shame if we don't get the wheel colour choice here.

also, where's the good place in sydney to buy this gear cheap?

lol, yeah being in an apartment buidling I may secure this network. hehe I figure I spend a lot of time stealing unsecured wireless, so why not share the wealth at home with my neigbours! the config problem was something to do with having a static IP and one other setting I had (can't remember which) basically it wouldn't let me have both a static IP and this other setting at the same time. the belkin was the same too, so I guess that particular account set-up I had was a bit unique. but the netgear let me do it.

yep, racetech seats are really nice. the only fault I can pick with them is that they are made in NZ. oh the humanity!!

hehe, I'll beat you to it. I took some pics last night, will post em up later. It's a very nice kit and well worth it as having the paddles move with the wheel is a must. as Russ well knows you come out of anything slow and tight hard on the gas and you will be needing to grab another gear mid slide/corner or you'll be promptly out of revs. trying to do that with fixed paddles is not nice. the MCR kit has awesome carbon paddles, and the quality of all the other little bits that make it work is just amazing. even the works bell boss kit is nice.

this is the billion one I'm looking at: http://au.billion.com/product/wireless/bipac7300n.php this is the linksys (looks ok, but I'm a bit sceptical of internal antena) http://www-au.linksys.com/servlet/Satellit...d=8505069027B02 this is the netgear offering. looks pretty decent. http://www.netgear.com.au/Products/Routers...ys/DGN2000.aspx

well I've always been very keen on netgear. a while ago when ADSL first hit the scene I had a billion ADSL mode/router and it was good. worked as it was supposed to. after about 4 years the power button broke, but I just taped it up and after that it was sweet until I upgraded. then I tried a linksys, just wouldn't work with my config. tried a belkin, same problem and it was crap. then bought a netgear. easiest modem/router I have ever set-up. allowed my (then) out of the norm configuration and literally took maybe 2 mins to set-up. I was very happy with it. but I'm willing to look at linksys again. Can you suggest a comparable model that does the same stuff as that billion 7300N? cheersu. (^_^)

ask yourself would you give $150K to someone who calls an R35 GTR a "v35 gtr v35 choose Coupe"... lol. they sound really professional...

lol, it's got twin clutch paddles. must be a special one. and first R35 in QLD my arse. I sent one up there months ago and I don't even think it was the first...

fatz, did you ever get porn working at home? I just moved into a new place and getting the hook up. going with iinet in the end, and I noticed they have naked dsl now which means you not need phone line. they will give you the porn even without the phone. but I'm not sure how you will ring hot gossip without it? I gues you can use mobile. now I have an actual question. where in sydney is cheap computer hardware retailers? I need to buy a new ADSL2 modem (with wireless router) and some other gear. leaning towards the billion 7300N. any suggestions gratefully received.

umm it has 2 to begin with? they just repalced the original 2 with a different set...

I hope BMW come back. I want to see kubie finish in the top 3 in the WDC. stuart: not sure if massa copped a penalty for that pit lane release yet. It certainly would fall under the banner of 'unsafe release from pit box' as if ferarri was not in the last garage down he would have been having to drive through other teams pit areas (or cars!) to avoid the other car. either that or stop dead and tuck in behind. It seems likely he will get given a 10 place handicap for the next race. but I think they should have ruled on it one way or another during the race. there was plenty of time to reach a decision before the race ended.

and I've been saying it for months (years?) now. James Allen is the dumbest fk ever to be handed a microphone. the shit he comes up with is just mystifying. I can't stand listening to him drooling on the mic.

Optimum Tyre Specs For R34 Gtr Rims ?
Beer Baron replied to godspeed's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
245s are the way to go on 9inch wide rims in my opinion. depends on the tyre of course too. I've tried 235, 245 and 255 on 9 inch wide rims. all are ok (though the 235s have always been semi slicks which are about the same width as a 255 road tyre). so to recap, go for the 245s all round. either 40 or 45 profile. -
yep, I agree. sadly it looks like kimi won't be getting another WDC title this year. it looks like it will be between massa and shamilton. RBR seem to be nowhere. for once they had a reasonable strategy but no pace to go with it. and what was up with ferrari's pit work? absolute rubbish. although to be fair it does seem that one cock up was kimi's fault for anticipating the green light. anyway I will be happy enough to see massa take the WDC. anyone but hamilton please...

yeah mate, I don't muck around! It's been a bit longer than that though. about 2 weeks on the water, about 3 or 4 days for quarantine and customs clearance. -
i would have no qualms about dealing with them. they have been in the import business a long time. nice guys too.

R34 Gt-vspec- Non Turbo
Beer Baron replied to buggor34's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
there is such a model as the GT-V which is an NA R34. it's not called the V spec though. -
I agree with that too. there is no pot of gold under the R35 that's for sure. all the people I know (including my good self) involved in exporting/importing/compliance etc of R35s are doing it because they are really excited about the R35 and wanted to get some out here asap. they certainly wont be getting rich off it. and as Driftt pointed out the facts are that no one buying one will be doing it to save money. they will be buying an import purely because it's currently the only way to get one right now in aus. those willing to speculate and wait on nissan will be able to get one around the same money, but they will be waiting a fair whack longer. that's the big difference. and for some that is a very strong case for buying an import to get one right now.

thanks corinne. you are right. I just used it last weekend to empty out my storage unit and I was able to fit the whole lot into the truck (2 beds, fridge, 2 couches, arm chair, tables, boxes the whole lot). I'm going to use it again this weekend to move a whole bunch of stuff out of the house and into the apartment, but after that I really need it gone. so someone please come and make me an offer on it!
-
agreed. no way are you getting an R35 on road for $35 unless compliance is free! people always quote say $80K for a car in japan but they are just quoting rubbish figures from brochures. that is not FOB, nissan wont sell you a car without rego, or 5% sales tax, plus an agent is not going to do all that work for free. and he/she needs to have a parking space to register it to etc which is all checked carefully. then you need to factor 10% GST, 10% duty and LCT on the portion over $57K (and don't even think of trying to write down the value, customs are not stupid and will be on your ass!). then you need to comply it and any compliance shop charging less than about $18K for compliance is really doing themselves a dis-service as there has been a lot of dough invested in getting compliance by those shops that have done it and they have little opportunity to get that money back. this is coming from someone who has imported 2 already so I know every cost down to the last yen. I don't know for certain what a road registered R35 will cost in total but I would guess it's closer to $160K than $135K. as for nissan's $145K I'll be surprised if they really are $145K drive away. but if they are then I reckon that's pretty fairly priced and will hopefully sell quite well.

don't really want to say. I've spent a bit on it. had the engine rebuilt etc all costs money. Plus now that I'm moving house I don't have as much car space as I used to so it will probably be for sale sooner or later. It's a pretty nice car though, quite low kms and I have the books for it too. It's surprising how good it looks for car that just came off the docks, it will look nice after a wash. some info on the RZ for those that are interested. they are apparently the rarest variant of RX7 you can get. The RX-7 Type RZ is a performance-enhanced limited edition version of the RX-7, Mazda's rotary engine-powered sports car. Type RZ is equipped with red custom full-bucket seats manufactured by Recaro, a custom suspension system manufactured by Bilstein, and custom aluminum wheels manufactured by BBS. These and other enhancements reduce the overall weight of the Type RZ by approximately 10kg, improving handling and performance. The Type RZ has a custom body in color snow white pearl mica color. Only 175 units of this limited edition model were sold. Primary features of Type RZ: - Red custom carbon/kevlar full-bucket seats manufactured by Recaro - Custom gun metallic coloured forged aluminum wheels manufactured by BBS - Custom dampers manufactured by Bilstein - Custom red stitched steering wheel manufactured by Nardi (different wheel to the other models) - Custom red stitched leather shift knob, stick shift boot, and parking brake lever boot - Driver's side kneepads - Passenger side aluminum footrest board - Rear storage box - Custom body color: snow white pearl mica.
