  1. my god! think of the savings!!
  2. it's somewhere in the ballpark of betwen 1hp to 180hp per psi. anywhere in that range is to be expected... (yes I am being sarcastic). there is no formula for boost = hp. every turbo will flow a different amount of air at a different boost pressure. and every engine will produce a different amount of power for a given volume of air.
  3. well after spending a bit of time researching on staticice etc. I've discovered most of the G modem/routers I was interested in are between $85 and $100 and the N ones are between $120 and $130. so considering there is not really much difference in price I think I'll grab an N and give it a go.
  4. It's worth every cent. I'm tired of fumbling with round fruit. D'oh (drops watermelon as it expands to normal round shape).
  5. mate, the VS commodore was released in 1995... so thats a 13 year old car. this may shock you, but things have moved on in 13 years. even at holden. a 13 year old commodore has absolutely no relevance to a 2008 commodore.
  6. and save yourself at least $40K!
  7. thanks Ben. It's still for sale. I'm not in such a rush now as I've already had to pay for the RX7 etc but I do still want to sell this as soon as poss as the 7 will be on the road in the next week or so, and I just don't really have space for all the cars anymore. someone please come check it out, you won't be dissapointed it lives up to expectations of what a really neat, clean R34 GTR should be.
  8. surely the best way is just to buy one from nissan. can't be more than $10 or $20 and it's not like you need to buy one every week. you'll buy it once and then that's it.
  9. holy moly! $60K for some seats, wheels, exhaust, suspension, diffuser and badges? son of rajab give me strength. The crazy part is people will actually buy it! not a big fan of the crease along each spoke of the wheels. I do love the seats though, they are awesome. The exhaust I'm not sure on yet, need to think on that one. but still $60K and not even an ECU or boost up? $60K get's you 3/4s of the way to another R35. In fact in japan for $60K you could almost buy an R32, R33 and R34 GTR and complete your collection...hmm seats and rims or 3 new cars....
  10. this was funny. now it's just sad. you clearly have an agenda to push bkc. but give up mate. the performance facts of the R35 GTR are well known. what your video demonstrates is nothing. it's 2 cars in a race with one faster than the other. big deal. any car can beat any other car given the right circumstances (driver, type of race, modification etc.). thread closed for the sake of us all.
  11. that could be down to the fact that they completely dismantled the cars then re-assembled them in the US. certainly can't have made the car more reliable! Well thankfully the two I've imported so far are both running nicely and they both get driven in a spirited fashion! both have already been modified too. and the second one has done quite a few track days and drag days now. but you do have a very valid point, and nissan backed warranty is one big drawcard between grey import model VS nissan aus sold model. The only real benefit of a JDM car is you can buy it right now, and you get a wider variety of options (possibly colours?) to choose from too. Price is something really yet to be proven whether imports are cheaper or more expensive but my feeling is there wont be much in it price wise.
  12. try www.isaso.com.au
  13. okey dokey. I can do something like that for you.
  14. nope, if in doubt check the rules at the top of the section. bumping every day (let alone multiple times a day) is not ok. bumping once a week or there abouts so that people know your item is still currently for sale is ok.
  15. yeah this is pretty much what I've been thinking. a decent N router and modem is almost double a comparable G router and modem. and like you say they are all built to the draft standard. and again, I don't have any other hardware to take advantage of the increased speed. home phone is not a big problem, I don't bother with a cordless in the apartment, just have 1 plugged in telstra POS. there seem to be some decent ADSL2+ modems/ wireless G routers now for around $100 which is peanuts really so I think I'll grab one of those and see how we go.
  16. stop bumping up your thread with this PM replied nonsense. if you reply to a pm people will know you replied because they will receive that pm. do not bump your thread excessively. excessive thread bumping will see your thread closed and your warning increased. take this one as a friendly warning.
  17. yeah it's 100% backwards compatible, but my point is if my PCs card is G, and my PS3 is G and my laptops built in card is G then what's the point of an N router as I'll be limited by the other hardware. or will I still get some benefit with the N router even though I'm using all G gear? maybe increased bandwidth or something? thanks for the other advice too. you too primordial.
  18. These were all shot with my canon 400D. I have high res versions if you want. and of course I own the pics, I took them and I own the car! I can easily take some more if you are after something in particular.
  19. yeah I don't have a real problem with team orders in general. I mean, it is a team sport. and the owner should be able to tell his drivers to do what he thinks is best for his team.
  20. well it would have to be something special for you to be paying LCT on it.
  21. yeah I would love to see MS back in a car purely because I wear my rose coloured glasses when we are talking anything about michael. BUT I think with 2 years out of F1 he may not be as sharp. I do think he retired a year or two early though, but a come back is perhaps not a good idea. I've never seen it really work for anyone else. think back to AJ...
  22. thanks muffin.
  23. then buy one off me instead snowy. you can get dark wheels, and non-bose if you want. hehe.
  24. cheers that site is good. I think I might go tight and can the N idea and go with G. My PS3 is G anyway and I don't know if I can be farked upgrading the card in my PC to a N card, and the laptop has built in G so no way I want to buy an N card for it either. given all that is seems an N router is a waste of time. just need to find a decent G one.
