  1. my advice is don't park your GTR on the street....
  2. lol, 3rd time in the last 2 weeks and probably 10th time over the last year or two. nice place though http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ni...yo-t180287.html
  3. like as in the car is behaving as though it was a mechanical bull. ie jerking up and down as you are cornering?
  4. SOLD pending receipt of payment.
  5. does the car actually kind of buck? called pig rooting? happens in slower, tighter corners. and it happens when you are getting on the power just before the apex?
  6. you are kind of right. GTRs don't have a crank angle sensor. they have a cam angle sensor. The camshafts are slightly different, and the cam angle sensor is different. Yes the crank is a little different too, but that has nothing to do with the sensor, it just has larger 'flats' to drive the oil pump gear (which presents no problem). that is all I can think of off the top of my head.
  7. the best i have seen and used is trust. good strong cores, well made, well designed kits, and price is not too bad. worth every penny. I have one on my 32 GTR.
  8. fark if he comes back for another year, I reckon I will get to at least 3 or 4 rounds. I have seen him race (and win!) in person a number of times, but more couldn't hurt. I don't think it will happen though
  9. Hi Guys, I have a Tomei Sump Baffle kit for sale. This kit fit's into your stock sump with no modifications to the factory oil pan (no need to cut and shut like the extension kits). These things are an absolute must for any quick GTR especially if you plan on doing any track days. GTR RB26 engines are known to have oil surge and oil control problems and the tomei sump baffle kit is designed to combat this. The kit comes with the baffles which have 1 way trap doors to stop oil flowing away from the pick-up whilst still allowing maximum oil flowing towards the pick-up. This desgin will help stop oil starvation which is fatal to your big $$ motor. I had bought these for my GTR but my new engine is being built in japan, so I will have the baffles fitted there (no point posting these over to japan just to have them put in). It's definately one part that is worth adding if you are building an RB26, or add it to your currently healthy motor to ensure it stays that way. Price is $250 with pick-up from Sydney, north shore. or post to most of aus would be $15-$20.
  10. I agree your SAY correct is later prove. RB26 is win of all engine later one.
  11. I've been saying it all along. schuey is the master.
  12. tbh Tokyo Disney is pretty much the only reason I bother going to japan at all...
  13. the smaller the better. if it's a new block I would not be going over 86mm. for any decent power you really don't want to be over 87mm which is already 2 sizes over standard bore size.
  14. width does not matter. DIAMETER matters. but of course if you have different width tyres it can be tough to get some that are different widths yet the same diameter. so in practice it's safer to just stick to the same size all round.
  15. c'mon guys, I know it's very, very difficult but please try not to be too hard on old epolly. he clearly doesn't have a good grasp of the english language and is probably using an electronic dictionary or translator so I'm sure a lot of what comes out is un-intentional. plus if nothing else he provides some good entertainment.
  16. yeah faux timber floating floors are not always a good idea. $24m2 is very cheap. Installation will probably cost more than that.
  17. trust me the stock GTR catback may be better than the GTST one, but it's no great shakes. I'm not sure if it's 2.5 or 2.75 but I'd say 2.5 if I had to guess. plus it has lots of bends as it follows the body fairly closely. It is fairly easy to make an exhaust that flows as good as the stock one, yet makes more power. as I said the standard GTR exhaust is made partly to keep power out put down, not up!
  18. i've used redline lightweight shockproof in my GTR for about 2 years. a fair few track days etc. no problems at all.
  19. hi mate, we don't allow daily bumping here. otherwise the FS forum just degenerates into a massive bumping contest. once or twice a week is ok, but daily is not cheers.
  20. ferarri in 2 years have lost MS, RB and JT. not good. seems that schuey leaving sparked a bit of an exodus. they should be ok for 2008 but I would say 2009 could be a different story.
  21. nice one russ, tonsils just slow you down on those 3 litre asahi cans mate. hmm, another boy may mean I'm buying the first few rounds though as I'm predicting you will be flat broke for the next years as your kids do their best to bankrupt you! maybe we can start with the 130ml cans and work up to the 3L. anyway, congratulations on the new family member mate. :sorcerer:
  22. awesome! that's pretty much what I was after. cheers.
  23. 2 and a bit weeks to go boys! yahoo. I'll be hitting tokyo on the 29th now. just in time
  24. well it's quite possible the guage is faulty. also, with so many connections t'd off the one source you are in for a work of trouble. personally I'm not a fan of t'ing anything at all into the fuel reg pressure feed. as if something goes wrong with it you are heading for a massive lean out as soon as you hit boost. not good.
