well the ol Beer Baron is revved up too. just finally got my arse into gear last night and booked my flights. I hit Tokyo on the 29th and staying bout 2 weeks. Just trying to decide if I should wear an australian flag as a toga or a nappy? not sure which will go over better with the japanese people attending. maybe the toga as it will be a bit nippy in the first week of december. lol.

yeah good man. like I said I've backed my car into the wall before at EC. not bad, but bad enough that it cost me money to fix! probably a few grand in the end. didn't even think twice about defrauding my insurance company. They have been there for me when one of my cars was stolen so why would I want to rip them off?

yes, the first deliveries are scheduled for early december, but the last few weeks have seen a lot of orders so if you ordered one in japan today you are looking at mid 08 delivery.

for drag use forget the RE55s. get some micky thompsons or BF goodrich radial drag tyres. the RE55s are great for circuit but for drag there are much better choices.

I think red bull could be a chance for gonzo. I will be interested to see how webber goes against him. he has been equal or better of any team mate he's had before, but if he can better alonso it will hopefully open some doors for him in his last few years of F1.

yeah I think they said it's limited to 1000 sets. but it doesn't automatically come with the first 1000 cars I don't think. you have to pay for it. 130,000JPY or there abouts!!! I want one but it does seem a bit wasteful even if they do have GTR engraved on them, and are nice snap-on tools. it is pretty cool though, mmm GTR snap-on spanners.

that really pisses me off. I have crashed at eastern creek (circuit, and not badly just minor cosmetics, but still expensive!) before, and there weren't any photos of it happening etc. so sure I probably could have lied and claimed, but the thought never crossed my mind as it's not the right thing to do. Now I get fking screwed on premiums because of other wankers dodgey claims. nasty.

I guess mainly they write english words in english that they think japanese people know. common stuff like "tool set" etc. some of those words either can't be directly translated, or they don't come out so well when written in katakana. obviously any japanese words are always in japanese (well nearly always) and most english words either get translated, or just written in katakana. The limited edition snap on tool kit looks awesome. has GTR etched on the spanners etc, but when I priced it up it was $1300! The Day time LEDs looks pretty sweet too.

if you are in japan, and want good driveability get the nismo supper coppermix twin. excellent clutch.

I got a mate to post it to me the week before last. He had a hard time getting spares as the guys at the dealership said they only had a limited number to give out at 1 per person, but he charmed another one for me somehow

Hi guys, I just got a hold of the sales brochure from nissan japan so I took a few scans. It was a bitch to scan as it has a kind of gloss finish, and it's an odd shape so a few came out a bit messed up, but I didn't have time to do them again. So I apologise for my poor handy work, but they are still interesting. If I have time later in the week I will try and do a better job.

I guess they didn't investigate too hard sucks for the rest of us monkeys paying premiums and doing the right thing.

Hi mate, yes I've been many times now and heading back in 3 weeks time. The first time I went I had a lonely planet Japan guide, and a lonely planet Tokyo guide (and a lonley planet tokyo pocket city guide). all of them had their uses on that first trip. I also have the lonely planet phrase book which is ok too. but after studying japanese now for a few years at sydney uni I haven't used it in a long time. there is another awesome book which I'm trying to track down which is an english book of the rail system maps. this doesn't sound that exciting but there are dozens of rail companies in japan and even in tokyo there is probably half a dozen and lots of different lines, and then the subway too... english rail map is a must, but whilst the JR one is easy to get some others are not always available. if you are going for the first time, and don't speak much japanese i would take: lonely planet tokyo and if you are going outside of tokyo take lonely planet japan too and a phrase book of some kind.

well I still have my GTR. Still for sale. I really want to sell it before I head off to Japan in 3 weeks time. The condition of this car is amazing. better than any GTR I've owned. If I don't sell it before I go away I will have to give it to my friend to look after. no one wants to do that!!!

well I've got mine now, just have to actually use them!

I really enjoy the team type games like zones and capture the flag. they are the best. deathmatch is boring as hell. and the dogfight ones also suck my balls cause I am hopeless in the planes.

I still suck. had about 10 attempts and can't put it all together. I was on an awesome lap just up to the turn before the back straight, had already passed all car (usually I get the last 1 or 2 on the back straight) and my gf walked in front of the tv, and I ran wide. dammit. so I gave up and played warhawk instead. and yes I'm pretty ordinary at that too. haha.

well if they bought it for $10,000 that thing will be repaired and back on the road under $20K and for sale soon for $30K. nice work if you can get it. shame the eventual owner will never know just how hard their new pride and joy was smashed.
