  1. yeah if you want it to be nice on track you need to man up and go with: front toe out. at least 1mm each side, more if you are brave front neg camber. 3 degrees will be nice. soften front bar stifen rear bar bit more rear neg and start playing with your endless combos of bump and rebound damping. but it will be pretty average on road (unless you are well up it).
  2. ok, well it's old news to me. sorry, I didn't know people were still making threads about "is there a manual?" but I guess they probably will be every week or so for the next 12 months. what I meant was it was confirmed by nissan last week there there is DSG only. but fair point.
  3. lol, you reckon?! I will be in tokyo in 4 weeks time, and I'm not going for the boss cofee and pockey....
  4. well there has been no doubt about DSG since early last week.
  5. lol, the nissan, the. rofl. Only one person in a million would find that funny. we call that the Dennis Miller Ratio.
  6. I fully expect to see modified R35 GTR at Tokyo Autosalon in january. I will be shocked if there are none there.
  7. well you can't just 'pull the sump off', that needs the engine to be out of the car for that to happen so it's pretty $$$ if you aren't doing it yourself. what is the oil pressure like? use your defi controller to record 3 mins of hard driving and see what it's doing under different circumstances.
  8. well I know that circuit battle was on last week and I heard from a bloke who was there that he had Mark and Russ's GTR clocked in the mid 1:02s!!! now that is fairly bloody hauling. he wouldn't tell me what they ran in the actual circuit battle, but when they were doing some testing laps 1:02s were happening. well done guys. things are looking pretty bloody promising now.
  9. that is great news that they caught the guys. doesn't make it any easier for your mate but at least these cock-smokers will do a little time.
  10. looking good. I still love the first one you did though as it was not just a good chop, but a cool idea too.
  11. haha, that is all great info mate, but sadly about 4 days behind the rest
  12. check out this one! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...E:B:WNA:AU:1123 hard core. I wish I had bought a couple when they were still available.
  13. with $2000 you are limited to second hand. basically they must be alluminium or magnesium and MUST be forged. not all rays wheels are forged. so choose wisely. these companies all make forged wheels: rays engineering Enkei (make very light wheels, probably the lightest - NT03) Weds Sports Buddy club (p1s are NOT forged, only P1QFs are) BBS Work (very few forged models)
  14. I just watched the video. you can see what tyres they are using. regular street spec bridgestones. why would they use anything else? you can even hear them protesting in the video. I've never heard slicks make noises like that. not even semi-slicks sounds like that.
  15. what makes you guys think that nissan is the only company that do their best within what they think is 'fair' to get a good time? what tyres did the porsche use... etc etc.. why is nissan the only time people seem keen to challenge. I would trust them over the german marques to set an 'honest' time.
  16. Item: Genuine Ganador Aero Mirrors for R32 Skyline Age:1 year old Condition:excellent Price: 390 To Fit: GMG R32 Skylines (What car) Location: Sydney Contact:me Comments: I bought these for my R32 GTR in japan. I then had them professionally painted (at Sydney Central Panel) in factory Nissan Gun Metal Grey. I've had them on my GTR for less than a year, but I now have some new mirrors I want to try. These are awesome looking mirrors and they retain the factory electric adjustment. There is no wiring needed to install them either as they have factory type plugs, so you just unbolt your old mirrors, bolt these ones on and plug them in. From memory the mirrors were near $500 and $200 to get them painted. I'm asking $380 for them now. You can pick them up from me in either Sydney CBD or Sydney north shore. Postage probably about $20 for most of aus. Pics: This pic was when I bought them. Taken before painting (obviously!) I think I still have the box somewhere too. Will look for it:
  17. lol. that would make twice for me with the PS3. I bought one at japanese launch and made a grand off that one! nice.
  18. well my PAL enthusiasm is waning a bit. I've been crapping on about how good it is to be able to play my aussie PS2 games on the PS3. well I tried it tonight for the first time and it sucks my balls. I played scarface, and it was laggy as f**k. it's like running a cool FPS on your PC with a shit processor, not enough ram and a rubbish graphics card. so it seems this backwards compatibility isn't all it's cracked up to be. I have no idea why it's so poor. The game runs 10 times better on my PS2. Still I'm glad I have the PAL version now to watch DVDs and BDs (when they start encoding them all), but for the money you save (which is now a shitload given the current price of PAL PS3) an OS PS3 is really the way to go now. This means PS2 will not be tossed in the bin unfortunately maybe I should flog my PAL PS3 since it has original receipt, warranty and all original packaging, cash in then buy a Japan PS3 when I am there next month?
  19. did a 33 and yep, I take the first corner on the first lap in 4th. up the inside of the lexus, then get around the GTR between 2 and 3, then the audi through 4 and 5. then two more on the run up to the double right handers. you have to get through them all before the long back straight to get a decent crack. but stringing 2 good laps together can be a problem. sometimes I have a blinder first lap (2:18 or so) then fudge the second. If i could put my 2:18 with my 2:12 then we'd be cooking! edit: tyres = R3. never tried any others.
  20. sorry to hear laurence. but I'm sure you will land on your feet no problem at all. and at least you got what you wanted out of the nova experience, and you have another visa to boot. still pretty harsh that you got screwed, so the beers and yakitori are on me mate next time I'm in osaka. I have the mighty AUD to spend. haha wouldn't that sentence have seemed so wrong just a scant few years ago.
  21. nice one. how long till rod through block b-man? nah, it's going to rock. almost certain to chirp seconds.
  22. about 2 years or so I think.
  23. yeah a 427 would be kick arse. and no doubt very quick around the ring. but sadly they only made a couple and cost near enough to $300grand from memory.
  24. c'mon buddy. I saw you reading. I'm curious to see your reply. don't go shy now.
