  1. yes I think the steering angle sensor is purely for HICAS. but I have nothing solid to back that up. lol. so I'm about as useful as a flyscreen on a sub.
  2. yeah they are pretty easy to adjust. if you have small arms you can do it with wheel on even, but much easier with wheel off. no problems with my bushes yet. give them a top up of grease before you whack them in. then do it whenever you get a chance. I think I did 1 pump per nozzle (4 nozzles obviously)
  3. I would go to a mechanic that really knows there stuff. all GTRs have mechanical 2 way LSDs from the factory. this is most likely what they are expriencing.
  4. good luck to all the victorians in our fair state. hope EC is not too wet seems we are having a bit of melbourne weather right now. sorry
  5. mmm novelty suspension. that's my favourite kind.
  6. yeah I agree with troy, what a load of codswallop. I've had mine for about a year. 2 or 3 track events including a nicely little backwards over a ripple strip at about 140kmh. no alignment change whatsoever. I'm surprised people get so much camber out of the dogbone arms. I know what the problem was with mine. the ends touched each other inside the cuff. so yeah I could have cut them down and had heaps more adjustment, but the bearings in them didn't last long either. I would say I was running a lot of castor at the time which would have limited how much camber I was getting too. anyway I am much happier with the noltec arms. they are strong as can be, don't slip and have bushes and grease nipples installed. very good product.
  7. dude they have nothing to do with the diff at all. they go between the sump and the block. the diff does not sit under the block mate. it's beside the block. basically it allows you to bolt a GTR/GTS4 sump to a 30 block. again, the diff is not really in this equation at all except that the diff housing is integrated into the sump (hence the need to fit your original sump to a new block).
  8. haha, I will probably just leave it with him to 'look after' for me! It's bone stock so I'm not really worried about anyone damaging it. I can't see how you could possibly hurt it driving it. 2 guys have expressed keen interest and one is having it professionaly checked out shortly. pending the outcome of that inspection I believe it will be sold to him. but I will update the thread either way.
  9. well only the fact that the engine is still in japan. if you know of a cheap way to freight engines quickly, easily and safely then I'm all ears! doing a nur motor into your car is at least a $10K proposition to do properly. and then of course you still don't have good rods or pistons, but at least you have a brand spanking new motor.
  10. well personally I reckon $900 is pretty bloody reasonable. have you ever seen a sump adapter? have any idea of the work they have put into developing and then producing it?
  11. sorry brad i didn't get a chance to add you last night (wasn't on the PS3), but I will do it tonight
  12. no you can't. there will still be pressure in the transfer case, so there will still be some front drive. the only way to run a 33 GTR on a RWD dyno safely is to remove the front propshaft and/or bleed out any pressure in the transfer case.
  13. closed. I told you twice that we don't do "please see my ebay auction ad", I asked you nicely to fix your ad to meet the rules. you didn't.
  14. it's not a big problem, but I wouldn't want my GTR to have 26mm wider track at the rear. not good for handling at all. plus any decent width wheel with a -6 offset is not going to fit on the back of a 32/33/34 GTR. the +7 on the front may be a problem too depending on width.
  15. lol, yes I know the difference between secured and unsecured finance. hence my post.
  16. it doesn't have anti-skid. there are two fuses you can remove. if you remove the engine bay 4wd fuse you loose 4wd but you still have ABS. if you remove the one in the cabin you loose 4wd and ABS. same thing if you switch off car whilst moving above 20kmh and restart whilst still moving you loose abs and 4wd. this is because the wheel speed sensors can't calibrate as the car is moving so they shut off abs and 4wd. as soon as you get below about 5kmh they will be able to recalibrate and you have 4wd and abs again.
  17. I should be on tonight too
  18. glad you got your car back buddy. you need to recognise that you dodged a bullet on this one, and now it's time to get insurance and a decent alarm and immobiliser. no one wants to be paying off a car they no longer have for 5 years. and in fact most car loans stipulate you must have comprehensive insurance as most often if someones car is stolen they end up defaulting on the loan which leaves the bank with no security to reposses. you got lucky this time, next time they may take it for good.
  19. there is one crucial part missing here. budget? how much do you want to spend (this will become the min) and how much can you spend (this is your max!). I mean if money is no object then for me the choice would be: new N1 or GT block HKS S3 2.8 enlarged sump tomei oil pump HKS 2530s or T04Z manifolds dumps fully ported head, with new springs etc V-cam bobs you're uncle but you are now $50K or so poorer.
  20. sorry mate, but that is far from correct. the car you refer to lunched it's engine after the N1 pump failed. so I wouldn't think it wise to tell people that they are running an N1 pump "with no problems". I would call full engine rebuild a problem personally.
  21. I reckon nakajima could do alright. from the little I've seen he looked like he could be quite handy after some decent seat time.
  22. ummm, one series races FIA style GT cars.... one racing touring cars. completely different. I wonder which is faster a push bike or a moto GP bike?
  23. hey alicia, forward me a copy of the paypal receipt either by pm, or email me. I will match it up with the online transactions, and fix up your account. sorry for the delay, but I guess Christian has been away from the forum with work.
  24. I heard a rumour that Kimi was talking to Jean Todt and this was the conversation: "so michael is coming back to do some work on a non-TC 07 car for development purposes, I just wanted you to hear it from me in case ther is any problems" kimi replied: "what the f**k does that have to do with me? I'm running late for my coke dealer. catch you later tubby."
