  1. and on that note I'm going to take my own advice and sell my place at the end of this year or early next. had it over 3 years now so it's time to cash out my chips I think.
  2. crikey. I didn't know you owned a place corrine? is it nice? what area? I have to be honest, personally I think property ownership sucks. ties up shitloads of cash, capital gains are not what they used to be. sure rental return is great but there is only so much negative gearing you can do and when it comes down to it a loss is still a loss. far better to chuck that few hundred thou into some wise investments, rent a kick ass place for youself and watch your money grow.
  3. thanks mate, yeah the lip looks much better in the black/grey finish. I love how it looks now. well got a few people keen to look at it tomorrow and the weekend but if you some reason it doesn't sell by money I'll put it up on car sales.
  4. ok, on mr snipers advice i checked it out. basically you cant easily adjust the size limit. atm the options are on or off. it looks like this: Automatic Image Resize Percentage Please enter the percentage to reduce the image to Automatically Resize 'Large' Images If yes, any images posted with the tag will be resized to prevent large images from breaking the layout of your board. I'm assuming the first one refers to attachments, not images posted using tags. perhaps we need to make it a rule for people not to post images above 1024 X 768 using tags. generally the 800X600 is enough, but I know personally for some photos etc that I post from time to time bigger is better, but nothing is more annoying that some noob posting a 3000X2000 5mb image... it's a tough one.
  5. F1 cars now looks like some abscract artists nightmare induced sculpture. getting passing into F1 is simply. get slick tyres of a compound that will work amazingly for 5 laps and shit for the other 15 of their life (meaning people on different parts of that cycle will be quicker and be passing and vice versa). re-introduce H pattern boxes as you quickly find out who can drive and a miss shift heading up the straight means your passed. a miss shift under brakes means your engine is gooone. no more traction control. at all. let the cars front spoilers be lower. as they are so high they end up with turbulent air underneath when following each other which takes away their front end grip then we have some action.
  6. wreckedhead, long time no see. no spamming other peoples for sale threads thanks. you only get one friendly warning like this so please take note of it.
  7. yeah once they are set-up you wont really need it anyway. put the $1000 towards: $500 shock dyno time, $500 set-up laps.
  8. I don't know how similar they are to ohlins. 256 settings is still a lot when you consider that's 256 per shock and obviously front/rear balance takes some trial and error. and yes you can get them put on a shock dyno and get a good starting point. probably looking at around $500 to get some basic testing done and some good starting point. edfc does work with RS but apparently only on some models. pretty sure it does list compatibility with RS and which car models on the tein site. i know I looked it up for my RAs. if it does worth with RS you will need 2 full sets (2 controllers, 8 motors) and make sure you get the new model. some nice improvements over the old one.
  9. CAD monkey my ass. he's my prank monkey.
  10. some more pics. Had the lip taken back to grey. looks much nicer Sorry the pics are blury but they were actually taken in the dark and it was the best I could do without a tripod!
  11. also, my advice is unless you really know what you are doing with suspension set-up (and have plenty of time and money) is get the RA instead of the RS. exactly the same shock just minus remote canisters and bump and rebound is adjusted together. my ohlins for example have 600 combinations of bump/damper valving PER SHOCK... so imagine how long it takes to get the optimum set-up. with the RAs you have 16 levels per shock and can set them up in 1 day. for ones with 600 settings a year of trackdays may be enough, then again it may not... having said that remote canisters do have a coolness factor to them.
  12. well camber is not adjustable on a 33 GTS so forget about that. neither is caster. they are both worth checking purely to make sure nothing is bent, but they cannot be adjusted. I would say most likely this is being caused by incorrect toe or possibly a bent suspension arm. how does the car feel to drive?
  13. yeah baby. finaly a real car in amongst these shirt lifters... well except for mark and russ. I think they win the 'coolest toys' thread hands down. bastards.
  14. any of the ones you listed except for the button will be ok. the buttons are a bit of a bitch for street driving.
  15. lucky you got it back mate. what a relief. to be honest if you can only afford one thing, make that one thing insurance. alarms and crap are mostly fairly useless and the are 100% useless if the theif has a tow truck. insurance is however 100% effective in getting your money back...
  16. Rears: Fronts: like I said, the front shocks are brand new, the only time they've even been near a car is when they were in the boot!
  17. yeah I would support an increase. maybe to 800X600 or even 1024X768.
  18. yeah delivery is not the strong point of buying from jp. but I think the hat bolt pattern is compatible with other brand rotors. could be worth checking out. the biot F50 kit is under the $4K mark from memory.
  19. just pulled them out of the cupboard. I'd forgotten this from when I bought them but the front are BRAND NEW shocks and the rears only fairly limited use. so price stays firm. I took some pics last night and will upload later.
  20. i might bring the white car and see what a bone stock 32 GTR can do...
  21. pretty much any filter i've used had a drain back valve. and min is intalled that way (ie hole points down). it's not fool proof though, some oil still comes out when you take it off.
  22. yeah I've seen them under 355s. depends a bit on the caliper and of course wheel offset but for isntance dave has 355s with alcons (or APs, i forget which) under 17inch drifteks.
  23. thanks mate, it sure is a ripper of a GTR this one ok, just dropped the car off at the panel shop to get the front lip stripped of the white paint and re-finished in the factory black/grey look. it will look much better I reckon. lot's of interest but no-one has ponied up yet. guys, nice genuine 32 GTRs like this don't come along very often anymore.
  24. yeah, I have to admit I'm not a fan of the pic reducing too. sometimes it just ruins the look of a pic. as long as people aren't going nuts with gigantic 10mp pics then I think mods can just respectfully ask people with massive pics to re-size them.
  25. what a happy ending. everyones a weiner. i mean winner.
