  1. ton-kra mate. I'm not here to take sides or defend JSAI but have you ever ordered large parts from japan before? It takes time. the boat alone is at least 10 days on the water and there is a week at this end for clearance and local delivery. obon holiday in japan is a week long so add a week for that. to me it seems like the only problem was not enough contact from JSAI to let you know what's happening. well now you know. ordering big parts from japan that are sent consolidated cargo take some time to arrive. like 4 weeks min.
  2. Greddy! those bastards! lol. c'mon paul tell the story. at least there is always next week.
  3. for someone who is a self confessed colin mcrae freak you sure have a hard time spelling mcrae!
  4. yes they do. especially with GTRS I reckon the HKS dumps are too small. they only have outlets around 60mm. tomei ones are 70mm outlets.
  5. I say tomei dumps. the nicest ones I've seen. and will flow heaps. the trust ones are nice too but take a lot of effort to fit, and they are a little expensive and they are very heavy.
  6. unfortunately that is the problem you get with cheaper generic brand stuff. often they have poor fit and finish and are just generally not always 100% suitable. as for larger 0-rings you may be able to. try some and see if you can get some with the right ID and OD to make it work. but personally I'd just bin the rail and either buy a proper fitting one, or just use the stockie.
  7. yeah that is why it's been hard for me to pin down, it sounds like wheel spin and feels like wheel spin (lack for rapid forward motion) but the attitude of the car doesn't change much which makes me think i'm losing power somewhere in the driveline (elimated clutch and rear diff) so that only leave the front (open) diff and the transfer case. I'm about to change all this though. nismo diff going in the rear and will get transfer case seen to and hope that fixes it.
  8. that's not right mate. SAFC alters air flow signal which actually affects fuel AND timing. and yes it can be used with a Z32 AFM on an RB25 and can probably cope with larger than stock injectors. so will it work? yes it will. is it ideal? no it's not. if you are upgrading injectors and AFM then something like a Power FC is a wiser choice. but if you are set on it the SAFC II will still work.
  9. buy a $2 set of vernier calipers and you can tell us if the exhaust is 3 inch or not. for moderate power it looks fine. upgrade dump and front and get a better (larger) cat and you will be fine. from the style of muffler it looks like a trust system to me. I would say it's 80mm which is just over 3 inch.
  10. this may seem like an obvious question but what size and brand fuel rail did you buy? and what injectors are you trying to put in there? standard RB26 injectors are 10.5mm.
  11. the other thing I would look at is transfer case. I have a similar problem in my 32 GTR. car is a nugget at corner exit. revs flare up, sounds like wheel spin, but the attitude of the car changes very little (if at all) which lead me to thing clutch slip, but I cannot replicate it in a straight line, and loadded up, launching, shifting hard whatever the clutch does not slip. which has brought me to conclude slipping transfer case. an easy way to find out is if it's trasfer or diff is do a few laps in RWD and see if you still get the same feeling. if you do, then obviously it's diff, if not then I would be looking at transfer. good suspension wont hurt it either though.
  12. well troy jamezilla told me you have a bit of a flat spot in bed too which is why I stopped answering your calls all those years ago. now if only I could get snowman to return mine....
  13. yahoo membership has always been free of monthly fees. I think from memory it cost me a few hundred yen when I first signed up (years ago) but you never had to pay monthly fees. I gave them japanese credit car but never really had it billed for anything since I've never sold anything on yahoo. are you a premium member? if so then you are paying the monthly fee.
  14. why would businesses or enthusiasts want to give you their hard learned knowledge for free when you act like an idiot on the forum basically demanding they help you? you want everyone to share info they have learned over the years but what are you sharing except for your bad attitude? I'm not surprised no one is replying. basically every post you have made on SAU is to leech information from people here about your build. which is fair enough. plenty of people have helped you out. but when you don't get what you want straight away and want to abuse un-named for not responding that is too much.
  15. well even though you're gay for moleman I say happy birthday anyway.
  16. yeah very new I thought. certainly hasn't been around for a year that's for sure.
  17. lol, thanks michelle. and yes I've read steve mcknights book (about 3 or 4 years ago). doesn't mean these guys have all the answers.
  18. no but they will be in the phonebook.
  19. yeah it's not easy. in the end they had to repaint the lip with some kind of special stone chip resistant/lightly textured grey paint. some of the paint just flaked off easily as whoever had painted it the first time didn't use primer, but the guys at the paint shop told me if they used sand or 'media' to blast it the factory finish would have been wrecked so I'm guessing they sanded it by hand then painted it.
  20. yeah I can't fault that logic either.
  21. Ok, now taking offers around the $11,500 mark. that is insanely cheap for what is a very rare soarer. I would say 50-100 of these in aus at the max. and they are the creme de la creme of soarers.
  22. i've never even seen a google ad...
  23. you are a pretty handsome guy I must say. what a shame for your girlfriend that you're gay. and at least all your slots are going the same way!
