in my experiences walbro pumps in turbo cars are not reliable. they seem to drastically run out of flow as the fuel pressure rises (with boost). I personally wouldn't use one on any car I value. good fuel supply is one of the most important things to the life of an engine so bearing that in mind the price of a nismo pump is a wise investment.

the door open shot requires active participation on your part. you need to visualise the car flapping it's doors and taking off... flying like a bird.

they are still around the $400 mark here.

pretty sure the head is the same. 34 cams will fit into a 33 or 32 head, i've seen it. they have different cams but as far as I've been able to tell that's only because they have different cam angle sensors not different heads.

looks nice mate. good to see you back in a GTR

bumblebee rocks my jocks. keep up the good work -
they don't tap into the cylinder 3 and 4 wires. I don't know where you are getting that from. there is no such thing as cylinder 3 and 4 AFM wires. there are only two AFMS in a stock GTR. AFM1 and AFM2. the Map sensors are spliced into AFM1 and AFM2 ecu inputs. and yes you should be fine to place the sensors elsewhere in your GTST but I'm sure there will need to be a little thought about where is the best placement in order to get a good result. other than that it should be fine.

well I figure since you drive it hard the dogbox is probably the smart choice for you. should be good fun when it's set up with the ign cut shift too.

interesting that the drivers championship table looks like this at the moment: McLaren-Mercedes 97 McLaren-Mercedes 95 Ferrari 84 Ferrari 77 BMW 56 BMW 33 Renault 22 Renault 17 Williams-Toyota 15 Williams-Toyota 13 Red Bull-Renault 10 Red Bull-Renault 8 Toyota 7 Toyota All the way down to toyota the team mates are grouped together. which shows that no driver is really outperforming his car or team-mate too much. webber was out of position for a while but a couple of non-points results means he's in 11th.

on the whole mac saga I feel if they were caught cheating then drivers points should have been stripped too. for my mind it should be all or nothing. either take points or don't take points. not the half arsed penalty they have been given. good to see kimi doing well and webber was on it too. awesome to see him actually put a move of kovaleinen instead of just getting trapped like usual. this race was a top effort from webber.

I have the full RB26 DJETRO manual at home. I can scan it for you paul. basically the map sensor nipples are inserted into cylinders 3 and 4 of the throttle bridge for the 26. then their loom runs to the side port on the PFC, and also splices into the ecu harness (I assume into the two AFM signal wires). I don't know how much better or worse PFC DJETRO is than the LJETRO. like paul said once you are at target boost the maps output just hold a flat line even though the acutal volume of air going in will increase. so I guess more reliance is placed on RPM axis and maybe TPS etc.

Site Is Really Slow.

it's not slow for me. must be something else. -
take it to the tip. drive up, pay and dump away.

Hi guys, I need some R32 or R33 GTST wheels. they must have tyres, but it doesn't matter what type or how bald they are. They must be in sydney. like I said, tyres don't have to be good, or even have legal tread, just so long as they hold air! pm me if you have what I need.

c'mon benny, give him a break. sure he may have been revving etc and obviously he had never been before (rolling through stage etc) but that hardly makes him a dickhead. it just means he's inexperienced and perhaps a little bit too excited. I'm sure he'll be more careful next time.
-
what are those differences? I thought all the RB26 heads were the same.
-
I don't think there is such a thing as an N1 head. as far as I know all GTR heads are the same. sure you can buy a complete N1 engine and I guess then you could say the head is an N1 head, but it's no different to any other RB26 head. so I wouldn't pay extra money for it over a regular 26 head. I think at the most N1 engines had different cams to regular 26s.

yeah I have to agree. that white F 430 GB looks a little tame next to the GT40. but what car wouldn't? -
that's a bit of a shame they jerked us around, but to be honest I reckon wet skidpan is more fun anyway, and afterall these days are all about fun. plus considering you get wet pan in exchange for dry, and we get some money towards the next event I reckon that is a good thing. I really wish I was going now, there is an art to getting around the wet skidpan smoothly and it's awesome fun trying and failing! I would say this is a nice win for us, and means sutton are now in our debt so they will surely look after us next time.

I can't believe you guys are all so harsh calling him a dickhead etc. I feel sorry for the guy. sure he couldn't drive but he was just having a go. he made a mistake, lost control and pretty much wrote off his car.

Sticking With One Brand For Mods
Beer Baron replied to Wink's topic in General Automotive Discussion
oh, and I should add it would be near impossible for me to buy all parts from one japanese manufactuer as I like to modify all areas of the car and most japanese manufacturers only make parts for certain areas of modification. -
Sticking With One Brand For Mods

too hard to buy all my gear from one manufacturer. I just buy the best in whatever part I need. pretty much all japanese parts, and all bought brand new: Enkei NT03 wheels BBS LM wheels Weds Sports TC-05 wheels (yes I have 3 sets for the one GTR) cusco 8 point roll cage cusco brake master stopper cusco number plate mount cusco rear upper arms cusco castor rods cusco 3 litre oil catch tank cusco front strut brace cusco under body tension rod brace cusco rear strut brace nismo braided brake lines nismo engine mounts nismo gear knob nismo rear LSD nismo air flow meters nismo/ohlins G-attack R-tune suspension trust oil cooler and remote filter kit trust profec B II trust hard pipe kit trust timing belt trust clear cam cover trust adjustable cam gears OS Giken twin plate OS Giken gearset Sard 700cc injectors Sard fuel rail Sard fuel pressure regulator Defi BF oil pres Defi BF fuel pres Defi BF oil temp Defi BF boost Defi warning lamp (for oil pres) Defi control unit V II nardi personal wheel HKS GT-SS turbos HKS twin 70mm stainless front pipes Tomei expreme exhaust manifolds Tomei expreme dump pipes Tomei sump baffles Tomei HICAS lock kit Mines cam cover baffles ARC front splitter/winglets Apexi Power FC Apexi Power intake kit Project Mu titan HC+ pads (also use endless CC-R for track) Ikeya formula traction rods The only non japanese parts are: 2WD/4WD switch hicas lock bar noltec adjustable front upper arms whiteline sway bars front and rear generic brand alloy subframe lock collars that's all I can think of off the top of my head but I'm sure I will have forgotten a fair bit of stuff. -
ok, well that shut me up! I thought GTST was 50-60 tops and I know next to nothing about 35s except that I read above it's an 80L tank. even still kms per tank is a pretty vauge measurement. give us Ls/100km or if you must Kms/L.
