  1. yeah check your oil level asap.
  2. so i'm assuming. massa 1, kimi 2, alson 3, heidfeld 4 and hamilton 5? i switched off 15 laps from the end. apart from wathcing the on board through turn 8 (possibly the best corner in the world) the race was actually pretty boring.
  3. lol, that would be a dissaponting upgrade! hmm feels just like it did before...
  4. lol. a licence out of a corn flakes box is good enough to play with us. but knowing how ridiculous cams regs are best check with them. at worst you'll have to pay for a $80 licence. lasts one year.
  5. yes, every twin plate comes with a flywheel. the cage is fixed to the flywheel so you could not use it with out the compatible flywheel and cage.
  6. have you done the transfer yet duncan? mine is in need of some love. if I can't find a place locally with some good results with 32 transfer I think I'm going to end up sending mine down to benno at racepace. he seems to be getting some good results with his transfer case rebuilds.
  7. just to get something straight, did you buy it off him on SAU or somewhere else? because you say: "Mid july i found an EBC for sale on here. Just a simple plain old Profec A with solenoid... I got in touch with the seller " Then: "that's about all i know! I don't even know his username on here??" how could you buy something off him on SAU and not know his username? makes no sense.
  8. lol, get upset all you want. I never said they should be ashamed of themselves. I couldn't care less if some guys in the US want to race on the street. I just thought it was a bit weak you thought it was so post worthy... face it. it's a lame video. and if you didn't want me to share my thoughts, why post a thread on the video?
  9. I also spotted it in the westpac banner ad, or is it smart and steals the first pic of the ad you are looking at?
  10. lol, you are a funny guy dough boy. I didn't think heads and intake like that were standard ford issue, but then again I'm not a ford afficionado... as for 6 seconds to hit peak boost I think 1. dough boy is tugging your leg a little m3gtr. and 2. that is what staging is for... boost mid corner is not a problem there's only one to worry about and it's most definately taken off boost! I just want to hear it.
  11. lol, "no race car?" not if you have anything to say about that... I have to be honest I hired one when I was in melb and i'd rather have my nut sack pierced than drive one. but I guess at PI anything will be fun. hey you may even knock of a few GTRs under brakes. make sure you tick the 'full insurance' option pete.
  12. I reckon there would be almost 5kg a corner in 324vs296 rotors and the difference between 17inc wheels and tyres and 16inch wheels and tyres. maybe 4kg anyway. 1.5kg for tyre. 1kg for wheel. 2kg for bigger rotor and caliper. not impossible.
  13. yeah if that is actually what's happening it's not good for sure. but to be honest the whole sentence didn't make all that much sense.
  14. no, only the vspec went to 1500kg because of larger brakes and larger wheels and larger tyres.' the later models were already a bit heavier than early models due to side intrusion bars.
  15. sounds ok to me. a little bit low but nothing to worry about. basically it should be around 30psi at idle. above 3000rpm (regardless of throttle position) it should be 60psi+.
  16. yeah, the second paragraph was not directed at you. just that it's impossible for us to tell what pump just because the guy says it's noisy when priming. if it's noisy when engine is running that may be another story. as for the AWD pump priming at start up it's part of the systems check that happens when you turn a cars ign from off, to on. it checks sensors, abs circuits, primes fuel pump and primes AWD pump. and the AWD pump is by a long way the loudest. many a GTR owner have mistaken that noise for fuel pump noise.
  17. now we're talking! looks awesome, improved production for sure. not sure how well that turbo would run with a 32mm restrictor in front of it... i don't have my measuring tape on me but it looks like that compressor inlet may be a few mm bigger than 32mm. now get it out there doughy.
  18. forgot to mention if your braided hose still uses worm drive camps with the little covers then it is just regular rubber hose with a sheath slid over it. the stuff the guys above were calling 'proper' hose is usually teflon line with stainless braid which uses screw type fittings (ie no worm drive clamps anywhere).
  19. it should work? I'm not sure how legal it is... ask DOTARs if it's legal.
  20. man I'm dumb. 43:10 will give the 4.3 obviously, but I don't recall having seen one, it's certainly not a factory diff I know of for GTR F+R diff.s
  21. oh and gav, I've got the 4.375s now too. front and rear. haven't tried them out yet though.
  22. group A cars used lots of different ratios all custom. they may have used a 4.3 for some tracks, but again I don't know what Crown wheel/pinion combo would give an exact 4.3 ratio.
  23. yeah you don't need street rego to drive on a circuit, but to import a race only car you need PC licence so to be honest if track days are all your interested in a dedicated race car is as waste of time. far better to just race a street rego car. the cost of a PC licence alone is a fair whack if you are only getting it just to import a 'track day' car.
  24. you really need to get in there and find out what the exact ratio is of the front diff. a common swap is GTS4 diff which is 35:8. if this is what you have in the front then I would suggest hunt down a GTS4 rear diff and use that crown wheel and pinion with your current GTR centre in the rear. then you'll have the same GTS4 ratios front to rear. if it is actually 4.364:1 I have no idea what it could be out of. I can't even think of a CW/Pinion combo that would give a ratio of 4.364. I would say it's most likely the GTS4 diff he just did some bad maths.
  25. yep, it certainly looks top shelf. no doubt tony's car has awesome drive out of corners I tend to agree too that mid corner may be where it falls down a bit. well I hope it comes of well, and keep on truckin! I can imagine the time and money into so far must be hard to take, but it will be awesome on track.
