  1. well apart from the obvious sensitivity at the moment towards illegal street racing, can I just say that was probably the lamest video I've seen posted in a long time. the camera man was master of the "quick zoom to no-where" and it was so jerky at one point I'm almost certain he was tugging his member with his free hand. add to that it was dark, you couldn't make out either of the cars and the race wasn't even close. thanks for sharing. top post.
  2. winks, having been in a few cubes and also having briefly driven one I can promise you we are not missing much. sure they are a funky kind of shape and have a funny name but apart from that inside they are boring as hell and maginally faster than walking pace.
  3. well good luck, it looks awesome. tony will be tough to beat as he has been campainging that car for so many years now he has it set-up pretty well. but I've no doubt you will have a damn good shot. It looks like an awesome package to me. who desinged the car? I was doing some laps at a practice day at oran park gp a month or so back and Kerry Baily was there with his Z with glenn seton doing the driving. had a good close look at his car and it is very impressive. pretty sure phil ryall built that car.
  4. I would be looking at this new hose as the source of the problem.
  5. dude, his post was 6 months ago...
  6. ummmm I don't know what to say except... YEAH BABY! now we are talking. I assuming it's built for aus sports sedan series? looks good. what look like penske shocks, and obviously the full tube chassis and mid mounted engine are hard to miss! is it going to be running a 4 or 6 when done? bit hard to tell from the pic but I'm guessing an RB of some kind? maybe 26/30?
  7. man you are a machine ANT. there is no way I can fit 4 17X9 with 235 semis on them in a row on the back seat (or in my case in the space where the back seat used to be.
  8. I think you need some reading time on DOTARS website. it will guide you through the process. http://www.dotars.gov.au/ just remember any model of car that was sold here in full volume cannot be added to the SEVS low volume register. so forget 3 series BMW, 5 series BMW, CLK mercs, SLK mercs, etc etc. ferrari's and lamborghinis are already on the SEVS register as this is how the manufacturers chose to import them into AUS.
  9. ahh ok. I read the review but how it was described seemed exactly the same as the 400D but I could be missing something. lol it's happend before. still it looks awesome. definately makes me want to chuck my 400D in the bin!
  10. I will be in. good to kick it ol school. Orchid thai!
  11. sorry that's completely wrong. the loudest pump is the AWD pump. it primes when you switch the car on. there is an even easier way to test it. remove the AWD fuse, then turn ign on. as for pump being standard or not, no one can tell you for sure just by the sound. sometime standard pumps get noisy. sometimes they are still quiet. sometimes aftermarket pumps are quiet, sometimes they are noisy. the only way to tell is pull it out and see what it is. or remove the fuel return and run it for a bit and see how much it puts out.
  12. you're thinking about this all wrong. again, DOTARS doesn't care whether a care is euro, jap-o, hindi, pakistani whatever. the rules apply the same to any manufacturer. they are all listed somewhere here but basically you cannot import a vehicle if the same or very similar model was sold here in full volume. if the model you want to import was not sold in full volume then sure you can import it providing you can have it added to the SEVS register. To be added to the SEVS register there are certain requirements it must meet (be unique, performance level, equipment level, magazine featured etc). Then to comply it you must be a RAW or get a RAW to do it for you. again, it's nothing to do with 1989 etc. There are 3 main ways to import any car into australia (again doesn't matter where from). Personal import. 1988 and earlier model cars and lastly SEVS.
  13. raws doesn't descriminate based on country of manufacture. so it's exactly the same rules as importing japanese cars. or russian cars. or mexican cars. an import is an import. and there are places that bring in some euro cars but the typical euro car buyer doesn't want a second hand imported car with no known history.
  14. it's upside down and pretty hard to see... may want to get a better pic.
  15. my god I would hate to have to adjust GTR wastegate actuators on the side of the road. I would say without removing a lot of surrounding gear it would be impossible unless your eyes can see through stuff and you have spanners that has a shaft like a bendy straw.

    Question

yep, he can buy a car at auction, pay for car and buyers fee, and if the car still has rego and shaken paid then he can transfer it when he picks the car up. if it has none then it's just whatever the usual rego process is (regardless of where car was bought from). yeah the euros are pretty good value in japan.
  17. the 400D has the dust reduction and self cleaning sensor too, but the other stuff sounds good.

    Question

lol, no it's not. the majority of cars sold at japanese auctions stay on japanese roads... of course he can register it in japan, it's a japanese car. hell lots of the cars for sale at auction still have current rego which he would just need transferred into his name. the car is only 'slated for release' once it's been de-registered and booked on a vessel out. even then no one actually says "this car is for export only". it could come back and be registered again.
  19. wow! that would have to be close to the most innacurate article on GTRs I've ever read. also it uses a 3 year old CG image of the next gen skyline in an article that doesn't even mention it? weird.
  20. well I can't help with the kanji, I'm sure someone will in a minute, but damn, it's been pretty beat up.
  21. if it's a worry with them being on display just sand blast it, then paint it black.
  22. lol, says the king of old news!!!
  23. so am I right in that it uses the same sensor as the 400D? but has a newer/better image processor? any other major differences apart from more FPS and better processor? oh and larger screen?
  24. nice, live view mode is a great idea. very handy when using tri-pod etc on weird angles and makes it easy to quickly frame a shot. to be honest I was surprised the 400D didn't have it as an entry level DSLR people moving up from compact cams would miss it. I know I do.
