R32 Hose Connection, What Does It Do?,
Beer Baron replied to skylinetas's topic in General Maintenance
yes it's the charcoal canister. -
and I also agree about the other earning point. Japanese Girls that I've known in japan have ranged from working in finance, to working at the airport and getting the train to tokyo for a big weekend, to working in HR in tokyo but living in Kanagawa, to working for docomo, to working as waitresses and everything in between. and yes most of them would not be on stellar salaries.

oh, and I'm pretty sure I've heard of this West J-Girl. Never met her but I hear she has a soft spot for white meat...

don't worry momo, I got it first go! and I must say you are a funny, funny guy. lol. I wont step in the middle of this argument, need to consider international relations, but I will say I agree on the money thing. Most my aussie friends who have moved to japan for work (ie moved for their career, not just to have a good time for a couple of years) are earning over the 1 mil per month mark from their 'day' jobs, I personally wouldn't consider moving there for any less than that. but as Adam points out being a teacher does give plenty of opportunity to do other work and bring in other money but still...

Clutch Fork Squeak
Beer Baron replied to LatinR33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yep like dave suggests it could be anywhere! could even be the pedal bracket assembley flexing. I've tried heaps of things to get rid of mine but it still squeaks -

nice one. When in December is hypermeet? I'll be back in tokyo late this year and I'm around then I'll come and check it out. I'm planning to get in a few laps at fuji speedway in my friends 34 GTR which will be nice too -
Ok here is two pics for the train fans. These are both Nozomi Shinkansen. One is a 500 class train and the other is a 700 class. I've been on both many times. Nozomi shinkansen is not cheap, but it is fast, and comfortable. I've take trips from Tokyo to Kyoto, to Osaka, to Kyushu (f*kuoka) and nothing beats being on a train going over 300km/h whilst you sip your beer and read your GTR magazine! 500 class nozomi 700 class Nozomi (these are massive with something like 15 cars!!) The view at 300km/h The secret to happy shinkansen travel. Find something to read (in this case camera manual), bring or buy plenty of beer, have phone handy and make the odd trip to the smoking section as required. Whilst we are on trains. Here is Kyoto station. Don't ask why they have astro boy out the front...

ok, Osaka Castle. Apart from the castle (now a sort of lookout and museum) and the amazing grounds there is also a kick ass takoyaki stall here, highly reccomended! Probably the most amazing part of Osaka castle is the castle walls, grounds and moat. Some of the stones in the wall are insanely massive. Amazing. One of the biggest stones. The biggest one has a surface area of 60m2 and weights 130tonne! Ok, the wet moat: dry moat

lol, ok. Here are some pics from Miyajima, Kyoto and Osaka Castle. Alright, we'll start again with the Tori outside the floating shrine in Miyajima. It looks amazing at day time, but was even more beautiful at night. Awesome place. This is approaching the island by water. and at night. breathtaking. Miyajima is absolutely covered in wildlife. There are Deer everywhere, and they are not afraid to come up and try and snatch your stuff. Most of them have they antlers docked but some bad-ass ones higher up in the mountain still have them. You don't want to piss them off. Here are two deer looked in mortal combat. When I was down at Miyajima it was late autumn 2006. Very busy time as everyone wants to see the leaves change. The colours are just amazing. 5 Story Pagoda on Miyajima Ok, I'll ad some Osaka and Kyoto pics later.

Fujitsu Lifebook Notebook P7120 Ultra Portable Notebook
Beer Baron replied to Beer Baron's topic in For Sale (Other Items)
Hi, did the glove box check and it fits in there no worries. Not much room left over, but it goes in there, and you can close the glove box. I really need this gone. so $2000 flat will take it away. That's now pretty much half what it cost. So basically a kick arse ultra portable notebook and a fraction of the replacement cost. Will post it pretty much anywhere in Aus for $20. -

Official Team Northside Dinner - Thursday 26th July 07 - Masuya
Beer Baron replied to sewid's topic in Events Archive
looks like a good one. glad you enjoyed it guys. Masuya is a staple of my diet. They have a great ljunch menu. Really sorry I piked it. But I was sick as a dog Next time I think maybe a nice steak could be on the cards. kingsleys... -
Good guesses, pretty close but no cigar. The floating Torii is at the entrance to the floating shrine in Miyajima island (just south of Hiroshima). That 5 story pagoda is in Miyajima too. If you've never been there, it's worth checking out. Listed as one of the 5 most beautiful sights in japan. oh, and yes, Kyoto was lovely. But to be honest I couldn't spend more than 2 or 3 days there tops. After a while all the shrines and temples begin to look pretty similar. The Kyoto Imperial Palace was awesome though.

yep, got it now. no coughing or sneezing. just feel weak, tired and got a badly swolen tonsils. it came on wednesday morning, was really bad thursday morning, kept me away from dinner thursday night and still feel like crap today
