  1. yeah and 200 people times 5000 is a million bucks... not bad going at all.
  2. I'm a big believer in troys goal here. having run everything from street pads, to endless carbon pads (CCR) I have to say that I have been able to get the paint markers to change, I have many, many times cooked my fluid but I have never had any real bad pad fade. so I am keen to try and run with lower temp pads in the hope of making my fluid last longer and rotors too. I think i just need bigger balls and more corner speed. but with pezzy brakes you find your self on them earlier, and longer and it just spirals down hill from there.
  3. man that diagram is way off. no car has a solid line going all the way from pedal to slave. for starters the pedal actuates a ROD which goes into the MASTER. then a line (usually starting solid) goes down to near the slave, then a rubber hose goes the last little bit to the slave. NO GTR has a clutch cable. They are all hydraulic clutches. Basically you need to stick your head under the drivers side of the clutch and take a look at which way the slave is going. ie is it pushing on the fork from the back, or from the front.
  4. well it seems VIC has gone awfully quiet after finally grasping the full strength of our arsenal. Plus we have a mascot, a secret weapon if you will... all salute!
  5. man this is proving harder to shift than a kidney stone. Anyway, price is still $2200 neg considering the spend of $4K on it 6 months ago it's pretty damn good I reckon. yeah it's a tech item, but still top shelf as far as ultra portable note books go. anyway, anyone who is keen just make me an offer. Now that some #$%@# stole my phone over the weekend I need the dough!
  6. it's good I prefer it to the reg kirin by a fair way. the regular kirin is a little too malty has some strange tastes in it. the brau meister is much nicer.
  7. actually a good fight atm might be the two BMW drivers. my money on the polack.
  8. Hi mate, are you sure it was originally an SR20 K's? I thought all the SR20 K's had 5 stud hubs? does it have a sunroof?
  9. it seems you really did listen when I said "trim the hedges and the tree looks massive"... it's going to be itchy as all hell mate... so i've been told...
  10. jones isn't commentating. it's cameron mcconville and i forget the other blokes name. but they don't call the race, they just lead it in, and fill in time during breaks in ITV commentary. for the rest of it, we just get ITV. lol, mika V kimi is a good one. But I reckon kimi would kick cry baby mika's arse. maybe driving GT cars has made him more of a man but I doubt it. expect kimi to firt dirty as he has had bar fight experience so is likely to swing a rattle gun into mika's balls, or smack him on the head with the lolipop.
  11. the fights: yes monty would kick jacques arse. jacques has gone soft and would probably soil his baggy race suit if monty smacked him. DC would definitely fight harder than webber, but mark is pretty fit and pretty sharp so it'd be close. I'd say DC could fight dirty though so it could tip things in his favour. alonso v massa is a waste. wouldn't buy that on pay per view. if I'm watching a girl fight I want actual girls doing the fighting because as kramer says there's a chance they might kiss. kimi and lewis is a tough one to call. kimi's hard drinking lifestyle may mean he like a bit of biff, but lewis is a fitness machine. tough to call. as for MS v RS I would have to go with big brother. he's been kicking ralphs arse all of ralph's life, I don't see it changing now.
  12. correct on both counts.
  13. man I reckon $49 a day is dirt cheap. I say take it!
  14. yeah they should be fine. it's not on the drivers side of the car and i have been backwards into the wall before and it didn't budge. for sure they are not massive, but the extinguisher is very light, 2kg total weight. granted I wouldn't want it flying at my head though. not much option to fit any bigger ones sadly.
  15. well, what piston to bore clearance are you aiming for?
  16. yeah, the white cans and brown bottle sapporo is the real deal. like I said though the silver cans are 100% CDM but still good. I have never seen it in aus but suntory premium malts (gold can, blue logo) is very nice and Kirin Brau meister is another fav.
  17. her daddy would be pretty broke if he's driving an 10 year old 318i... lol.
  18. well they are definately not stock pistons, but I have no idea of brand. the skirts don't look that hot. and I don't think they are forged.
  19. I must drive like a maniac. I get approx 20-23L/100km. I even get 18L/100km out of my soarer! hmm.
  20. I quite like ralph's old one of: "...next time I shall have him off". sound very funny threatening someone in his private school ESL type english.
  21. yep. good thing you mentioned it! I had completely forgot. acutally can you email me, my phone was stolen on the weekend so all my numbers are gooone
  22. yeah it's good to see an aussie pulling out the odd 'bloody' and stuff like 'ripped off'.
  23. and another ripper: Q: Mark, it must be a great relief to be on the podium again? MW: You don’t say mate. It’s a bloody huge relief for the whole team and for myself. We’ve been ripped off quite a lot in the past but it is always down to preparation. It’s not due to luck, it’s not due to this and that. lol, you don't say!!
  24. a great question and a good answer from the interviews: Q: (Dan Knutson – National Speed Sport News) Mark, given the reliability problems for you this year, how much tension was there for you over those last laps thinking the car might just break again? MW: Absolutely horrible, because I wasn’t that confident to be honest because if you look at our reliability record it has been quite poor and there are still a lot of components that we need to get more confidence in to be honest in a grand prix. So once we had done our second stops, and I had a comfortable third going on the slick tyres and I thought ‘just stay together, just stay together’ and I saw the rain coming and I knew there was going to be a few variabilities before the race was over. But there is absolutely nothing I can do about that, I have to just keep pushing and if the car stops… I have plenty of experience with that, but I don’t have very much experience with being up here. I’m bloody happy to be here so it’s good. lol that last bit is gold.
  25. not 100% sure on QLD but here in sydney you can buy them from any nissan parts department. and yes, it's expensive!
