  1. okaaaay what ever you are on they need to double the dose!
  2. nah, it's just more convenient. no passengers allowed on track anyway, plus with passenger seat out my race box fits neatly in the space. i just put it in after track use. takes about 3 mins tops.
  3. found a pic of it mounted. there is no passenger seat there, but you can just squeeze it in with the passenger seat still in place.
  4. it's bolted. the wholes on the end are used to secure it with the factory seat mount bolts.
  5. 32 GTR with less than 100,000kms is very rare. plenty of them show less than 100,000 but not many have actually done that few. I mean in 18 years 60,000kms... 3300 kms a year. hmmm. I would get the leakdown test done too. realistically you are looking at between 100-200,000kms.
  6. here is how I mount mine. metal bracket mounted onto alloy bar, which is the mounted between the two front mounting points of the passengers seat.
  7. also, beware of buying fire extinguishers 'on sale' that usually means they are nearing their expiry date (1 year from manufacture).
  8. well for cams events it must be able to be reached by the driver WITH seatbelt or harness on. so either under drivers seat, or passenger seat, or somewhere around the centre console is pretty much the only place. I haven't used the chubb ones but they have a pretty good rep. the BFI ones are good. I've used them and I've used some other lame-o ones (can't remember brand) and they were rubbish. doodz, the one you want is BFI Dry Chemical Powder (ABE) Extinguishers. This is it: http://www.firstaidsales.com.au/component/...emart/Itemid,1/ compare it's rating to the one you have. the BFI 1kg one is 1A,20B:E and again you must have an all metal bracket (the BFI one comes with it).
  9. noice, the bathursts are good, and I now have a few versions of them, but what I'm really after is the 91 and 92 ATTC. highlights is fine, but full races would be gravy.
  10. well yeah they are ok, but for 300rwkw on a GTT or GTST I would definately be going external. the IG housings of turbos this size are not such a good compromise. i mean you know what the shape of the IG 2835 is... not good. sure the IG 2835 kit is cheaper but it's not that expensive to go External and for 300rwkw it's a better option.
  11. dude! that would have to be one of the bluriest pictures I've ever looked at! I'm pretty sure the R is on all N1 blocks. the GT blocks have RRR. Though someone with more block knowledge that me can confirm it.
  12. silverbullet, there is no need to go 1.5mm. it's too thick for what you need. 1.2mm will still end up much thicker than a standard gasket as the aftermarket metal layer gaskets crush much less than a standard gasket. go the 1.2mm.
  13. doodz, put your cheap one in the bin, or give it to your mum to put in the kitchen. what you want is the BFI 1kg extinguisher. It costs $50-$60 and by far out performs any of the cheap ones. Plus I would venture a guess that the $20 you bought has a plastic bracket? If so it is unnaceptable for any CAMS event that requires an extinguisher. Also, you will find most likely it cannot be recharged.
  14. lol, nice covers mate. but i wouldn't go as far to say it's original... I've seen probably at least a dozen cars with the same thing. considering people have been modifying japanese peformance cars for the better part of 20 years there is not much you can do these days and be first... here's just one.
  15. wherever you go just tell them you are looking at buying this car and would like them to go over it for you.
  16. the will machine off whatever is the minimum in order to get a nice true surface. if your grooves were say .35mm thick (which is bugger all) then they would need to machine off double that.
  17. I heard he bought two motor bikes and wants one turbo for each.
  18. yeah, what are you up to bloodnut?
  19. hmmm... did I ever tell you that winfield race suit really brings out the colour in your eyes. can we be friends...
  20. agreed, I don't think I've ever encountered a faulty standard fuel pressure reg. I've seen plenty of faulty bosch pumps though, and just as many fauly installations. and the odd aftermarket fuel reg failure (cough, malpassi) happens too. if the pump is the most recent thing you've changes that's what I'd be looking at.
  21. haha, told you he just had the shipment of the "bling" tomei heat wrap. nice and thick. I reckon if winter gets any colder I may need to get some to use as a blankie!
  22. top idea , but I don't know that spamming it across all the state sections is the way to go. I can put a thread in the announcements section, or a thread in one of the non-state specific areas (like photography?) would be the best way.
  23. try http://www.uniqueautosports.com/
  24. I think west finished 8th in the end as his team mate retired 1 or 2 laps from the end (suspected he ran out of fuel). it was a good effort, no doubt.
