I dont have any problems with holden cars. All of the ones made before 1979 are the best running, most reliable cars i have owned. There are quality holdens, built but like anywhere else, there was quality issues that you wouldnt want on a car you would buy. Have a look how many Holdens there are in the workers carpark to see what i mean

ok, Predator - as for your first question about N32840 - whats the shock absorber upper. Sure no probs. Im holding off till we get a few people who all want the same items. If someone orders something though, and i dont think im gunna get any more orders, i'll just put it straight through and they can get the 20% off. Would be nice to get the 40% on all items, but some items are more expensive than others, and not everyone wants the same things. Might speed things up for those who want the items straight away too i spose, instead of waiting till i get 5 ...otherwise id just put say a 3 or 4 (?) week wait, after starting the group buy, before i put an order in on a spcific item. It might help if people let me know too when they need the items, as they order. It'll be good to know with when to put the orders in etc...

i hope to do the subframe bush replacement soon. How did you get the old ones out, and new ones in gts4diehard?

Ive emailed them about your question. If you wish to have a look though, download their catalogue, and on page 20 - 22 it shows all their shock absorber bushes. i should also have an r30 pricelist soon too

Dude i used to work on new stuff that holdens built, and the v8 irs were all the same. Ive seen some poor excuse for quality come through, and i complained about it. Know what response i was given?...-"Don't worry about it, because holdens are happy with it" Chassis are basically all the same from base to HSV GTO models.

The fan is operated by a small coil that uses temperature to engage itself. On a hot day the fan would be on most of the time (below 3000rpm) As a side note, the fan runs off the waterpump. Have you guys replaced the waterpump at anypoint? A shagged bearing in the waterpump will make the fan harder to spin, and can kill your car if it seizes...

Subframe mount N92446 - 1 Incl. crush tubes (R33) R32 and R34 are the same, but R33 uses a different part number for some reason, however the pricing is the same as the r32/34 item. R33 item is the same as s13-s15 and 300zx Z32 I am looking at doing this group buy very soon (will put a link in my sig) and it will be open for about a month or so to get numbers and payments etc organised.

My key snapped off in the ignition. i thought i was farked, but i pushed the spare key into the barrel iand it started. I dunno where the other half of the key ended up, but its still in there. I have been driving it for like 6 months now..no probs yet.... *mental note...get spare key cut*

the clutch fan cuts out at 3000 Rpm. I bought a new clutch assembly for mine. It was a craig davies replacement. On the box it had a whole heap of other model skylines it could be used for as well as the VL turbo RB30et. (rb30e has a different length and thickness shaft on the clutch) From memory i bluffed the guy and got trade price @ $120

afr is one example that can be bought and added as an extra. Add the cost of a full dyno tune up vs. the 1 off cost of a cable and afr meter to tune your car by yourself (and just dyno time if needed)

heaps. As well as for datalogging, i can hook up an afr meter and do logging on the street with AFR values, so i can do my own light throttle tuning to get better fuel economy. I only have to pay $100 for a WOT tune, then take it home and fine tune myself (which is about another $200 on the dyno)
