  1. ive been considering civil engineering....due to the fact im sick of blue collar bs
  2. lol...ive heard of most jobs..sorry oosh i dont like honey
  3. Im not promoting some bs thing, im asking as im in that position atm. I have absolutly nfi what to do, or what jobs to consider. Id even think about going back to study if it meant doing something interesting... Only thing id hate is the low income issue while studying... Looking for ideas as to what to do, and was wondering what other people have thought about, or are doing.... Im sick of getting mondayitis....i need a change Anoyne started their own business??... Ignore this if you are fresh out of school or havent worked in the last 2 years
  4. Second hand they can be bought off these forums for like $50 Dont ring Nissan. I did and for some reason the GTR pump is cheaper than the gtst. Try $600 for a GTR pump, and $1700 for a gtst....WTF!!!
  5. The genuine flywheel off the vl turbos are larger in diam. than std rb30 or other rb engines. Im sure of this as i was told when i built my rb30det. From memory the vl turbs may use a different starter (to offset the different size wheel)
  6. 0.61 for a streeter. It will give a good 400m time as well. Id say putting it on the track the way you have it set for the street is a fun way to find the limits of your daily driver setup.
  7. the flywheels are different from memory... i think the vl's ran a 10", whereas the r32's / s1 r33 ran a 9"
  8. I think its pointless to ask period. Im happy with the way my car runs, so why should anyone else need to know.....
  9. A single thermo wont work as effectivly as the std clutch fan + shroud. You need the twin 12" thermo setup + shroud from a ford. i cant remember which model atm
  10. The r32 gtr and gtst use the same pump. Its the suction pipe, and a bracket for one of the hoses is all that is different between two. They mount and adjust the same too. Its under the pump from memory, 1 bolt or nut as a lock, then another to put tension on the belt. I have'nt studied the internals yet, but the pulley size is the same. I need to look inside to see if one flows different than the other. My guess is that they are (flow) the same.
  11. I got an exhaust camshaft, injectors, top / bottom halves of inlet manifold, various bits and pieces.... Pm me for what you would like, and i can take pics of it all....
  12. I love the buckets too
  13. lol...another simple job that turns into an all day headache again
  14. here ya go disco: Rob at RIPS -> [email protected]
  15. did you have to wire it in, or is it a plug and play? Are the mounting points the same as the std item?
  16. Rips (Rotorua Import Pro Shop) on this forum (and SDU) makes an adaptor plate which lets you bolt up the rb26 stuff to rb25 heads edit/ he may also make a adaptor for fitting rb25 to rb26. Find his email and ask him
  17. Havent bothered with the gearjudge yet. I'll wait till my big turbo is on, then i'll get a fine tune of the pfc and the boost controller. The avcr though with its rough tune can hold 1.1 bar flat.
  18. The avcr is the exact same kit as the pfc boost controller uses, except it has the pretty blue screen instead of using the h/c to display things. Im running both avcr and the pfc together with no probs. Its the best controller when setup properly.
  19. your muffler has the hole in the tip to add or remove a silencer in it
  20. use a spray call rost-off. Its a silicone creeping spray that works its way into rusted threads. Ive had bolts frozen in place before, then spray it with this stuff, and you can undo it in like 1 hr of soakng.
  21. Thanks for that. I hadnt heard back from you, so i assumed u hadnt had a chance to do it. I dont have internet banking, so i couldnt check. Thanks for clearing it up
  22. double post
  23. i asked about a refund, and supplied my bank details, but still have heard nothing from Mafia....
  24. Increasing cubes does increase power. I know going from the 3.0Lt std bore to the ~3.1Lt i have in my car roughly equals about 10 more Hp across the rev range....or so a reliable source tells me I would have stuck with modding my rb20 had it not blown, and i know what you mean about revs there Roy. Having ridden a RZ250r for the last 6 years i love revs, and that thing is built for it (redlines at 12,000rpm ) But i like not having to downchange (as you noticed when i drove your car) when goin up a slight gradient. I like the fact i can leave it in 5th and cruise up a hill.....tyre frying just means you havent sorted suspension or tyres properly
  25. I was referring to the rb20det pfc, as it uses the r32/r33 GTR power fc (just remapped by AP engineering) That is why it displays the air temp on the rb20 hc still. I dont know if the rb25det displayes air temp on the hc, as i dont have a rb25 pfc. Obviously the rb25 uses its own pfc version, not a remappped gtr item, so it wont have this option available.....
