My understanding is that there are 4 types of subframe bushes. The first type are the actual bushes in the subframe itself which are pressed in. See attachment below. When these factory items get old the subframe has movement, then people fit the alloy type of spacer bush as is being discussed here, which is the second type of bush. Then there are solid ally bushes which are installed to crush the std fatory bushes, seen here : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...246&hl=subframe Then there are the pinapple urethane type which are used to tilt the subframe for drift or traction seen as posted here : http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/instructs/203a_KCA349.pdf I reckon im going to fit the first type i talked about (the actual bush replacement) which is a hard job, but will be worth it, and then fit the urethane type to angle the subframe for traction. I just see the alloy type as a quick replacement for fitting the actual subframe mounts. NSB_66_Nissan_Silvia___Skyline_Subframe_Mounts_1_.pdf

R33 Sii - My Gt30 Upgrade Is Done. Lots Of Pics
Bl4cK32 replied to The Mafia's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I hope the top end wont be pulled back to match the new response.... On the 3lt it starts about 1500rpm on my rb20highflow (ridiculous ) and has pulls less as you go over 5600 rpm... Damn i need a bigger snail -
Im in denial that my sunroof will ever leak Id hate to think, but your only choice may be to pull it out, and refit a new rubber. It may have to be a factory rubber too...

Water Temp Sender For R34gtt
Bl4cK32 replied to Nightcrawler's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
find some pipe that'll fit inside the top radiator hose (43mm?), drill a hole in it, and weld a nut on that will fit the sensor. Then fit that in your top hose -
trouble is the ones that are rarer cost more, cos no-ones made a mould and copies of an origional then sold it over and over to cover cost. You could buy one from Japan if you have some $$ Personally i like the Do-Luck type 2 kit.....that thing is horn http://www.do-luck-usa.com/products.html?auto=HCR32

No worries guys, like i said i can get it cheaper but we need a few orders, so talk to everyone u know who may need some stuff. im doing this to help us all out - no adding extra $$ for myself. Check out the catalogue and let me know what else u may want.

Top RB20 Club... do you have over 260rwkw?
Bl4cK32 replied to RBsileighty's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I looked at the inlet manifold porting to the head when i fitted my motor up together. Basically there was sfa difference. I just took out the 1 or 2 mm here and there that was the difference. I was suprised how well the std nissan stuff was matched Roy. Using the gasket as a template and a rotary tool it took only like a few mins to get it spot on... Extrude honing the inlet would be good as well as the exhaust manifold. As far as i know the tb is about 2.5" (same as ic piping/afm ~80mm) and the VH45 is about 90mm (same as the afm) -
Water Temp Sender For R34gtt

the one off ebay goes into the middle of your top radiator hose. You cut a piece of it out and fit that in, then screw in the temp sensor. That will give you a reading of the coolant before it goes through the core... -

Would be good to know if it flowed any better with extrude honing, as looking at mine it could get better still.... Im going with the 3037 and my hks cast manifold if i can ever pull my finger out -
Why Dont People Look When They Reverse?
Bl4cK32 replied to Burns's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I feel your pain. I was at my mates place, and his neighbour reversed into my car. Thing is my car was in plain sight across the other side of the road, and she would have walked past it to get to her car.... -

Ok guys ive got some pricing here (except the r30 stuff) It seems they are prepared to offer their stuff at 20% off on 1 off items, or 40% off on 5 orders minimum. Some items are expensive, while others are cheaper.... They basically have their own RRP which you take the discounts off. Examples - N32840 - Shock Absorber - Upper - Front bush kit ( 4 piece ). RRP on this is $77.97 -20% = $62.38 -40% = $46.78 (5 orders needed) N82557 kit (adjustable castor bushes, R32 GT-R).RRP on this is $301.72 -20% = $241.38 -40% = $181.03 (5 orders needed) PN N52088 Upper control arm assembly (camber adj.) RRP on this is $691.43 -20% = $553.14 -40% = $414.86 (5 orders needed) Rear subframe bushes N2447 (incl crush tubes) RRP on this is $266.20 -20% = $212 -40% = $159.72(5 orders needed) These are only a rough guide, and prices may come down. As an example the subframe bushes i was quoted $206 for a 1 off item ($6 cheaper) than going by their catalogue. Let me know what u think of the prices, as i havent added anything to it, im just doing this to help others out. It seems a group buy may be necessary to get the pricing down to where we may all like it.

The small part id claim would only be enough to cover bills etc while you study to get a better job. Id say you would make more back in a higher paying job, than letting it get taxed while u are studying. Itd only mean 12 months earlier on the pension, than living off your own money anyway....Unless you were like a millionaire Id bet most here wouldnt have close to enough super to support them the rest of their lives when they retire anyway???
-
its 24 weeks...ive tried too
-
If you really needed to u can claim hardship and get some of your superannuation paid out. Pay off the car, and the school fees - then live off unemployment while u study... I dream too much
-
Im still waiting to hear back about what they can do for us, but i'll let you know as soon as i do I hope we can get some good prices on all their stuff

My Turbo Upgrade What Power Should It Make?
Bl4cK32 replied to Guilt-Toy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It wouldnt be laggier, if anything it would drop backpressure, increasing the top end capabilites -
I am organising with Noltec atm to start a group buy of products for items they have available for Skylines. Items will be straight out of their catalogue for the R30 to R34 skyline For specific details see here : http://www.noltecsuspension.com/files/cata...20Catalogue.pdf (pages 141 to 143 for Skyline components) I havent received any info on pricing as yet, but the more people the better the group buy will be. I may look at becoming a distributor later if the group buy goes well.... What i need to know from people is what other items (from the catalogue) would you be interested in getting discounts on for you car? Please look at their catalouge and see what you need, and let me know and i'll see about pricing asap. Thanks.

cost of a hose + labour if its their stuff up id get it done for free.

My HKS oil temp just replaces the factory sump bolt and screws into the origional hole in the bottom of the oil pan Not sure if it helps you, but you may be able to do this depending on what your sender / cable looks like

Id say your best bet is to try the el thermo setup with the shroud. They are slimmer than the clutch setup, and will cool better than 2 thermos without a shroud.
