thermos dont work efficiently without a shroud. Ive never seen any other setup work better than the std factory cooling system. If you want thermos, try the el(?) ford factory twin thermo setup with the shroud. Are u running a std clutch fan, or is the 12" you are talking about the aircon fan?

If you do belt a screwdriver through it it will come off....trust me. Leverage is always your friend. Or try a strap type oil filter removal tool...

From memory Sky30 ran a vl box with his rb30 in the r32 with the 4.3 std diff. It wasn't too much different from the std rb20det box ratios. Unsure if the vlt and the vl are similar though, but they run the 3.4 diff.... I'll be running the 3.9 centre with the r33 box in mine. It would be good if you could swap out just 1st gear for a taller one. Im pulling my gb out in the future, so it may be something to look at while its out....

Yer i can lend you mine. Its from the r32 AP engineering version. Im going past Shaun's monday so i'll drop it off then if you like. It should work i think...I'll go past Boostworx and speak to Shaun, and he can ring you if it'll work...

rememeber (on r32's anyway) power steering / battery condition / hicas / and vehicle speed sensors are all related. If one is farked it can stuff up all the others....

best bet is to try the wreckers, or one of the importers of the forum. You can just fit the cw & pinion (keep you current centre), or fit the new ratio to a 1 (or 1.5 or 2) way centre. From memory a couple of hundred dollars might be about right. Trouble is you may have to buy one in the whole housing still, cos people dont like to separate the diff parts. S13 auto and manual ratios are 3.9 or 3.7 (i cant remember which one is which )

Just put in either the 3.7 or 3.9 ratio crownwheel and pinion in the diff. It will make the most diifference to bring the revs down and get taller gears. I hate the 4.3 with my 3lt, as first is useless, and will be going to a 3.9 hopefully when money permits...

have you taken the top and bottom hose off the radiator and stick the hose in the top, then turn it on, to see if it flows?

the actual engine bolts straight in as its the same (bolt up) as the holden red motors (186/202 etc)

No. Ive got the same manifold and will be running it with a blocked off external gate.

I had a r32 gtr speedo and its the same as the one funky showed. The red one is the same as the one im using now Andrew, and its out of a r33 box.

how much difference is there going from 4.11 to 4.3?

cant u use a plate with offset holes to bolt in between the mount and the block?

And that helps everyone else how? I have a nismo 2 way gt pro in my car atm. It does clunk, but remember if you push the clutch in it stops the clunking/squeeling and just free rolls like a std diff does. It is one of the best mods i did to my car. Power gets down a lot better. It is more noticeable under accelleration through a corner, and makes the rear heaps more predictable when it decides to step out. It wont hurt driveshafts. Only time its ever been scary was when i first got it and was geting used to it. You need to remeber the arse will step out if you have to do an emergency brake, but keep it in mind, and push the clutch in if you ever get into a situation where u have to brake hard (which you have to do if you're coming to a stop anyway) and you wont have any problems....

Have u seen the one in Germany! :lol: Sounds like someone didnt sample the brews...or enough of it. Last year was my first time, but i liked it better this year....due to sampling more of the food, and beer/cider. I think the day is more of what you make of it. The shooting is there, the food/drink, and music etc....i had a great time.
