Hi
This is a HICAS problem and before anyone comes in and says it, no I dont want to lock it because the problem I have can be fixed pretty easily i think lol
Ok basically
put a MOMO steering wheel on a while ago with a Works Bell boss kit and it was fine around town, no problems. I went on a highway drive and after 15mins HICAS light comes on. So basically i worked out what I had done wrong was when i put the boss kit on I didnt line up the correct holes on the back with the Hicas locating tab an plug on the steering sensor.
So Ive fixed it now but the problem I have is that my stock steering wheel was off to the left a bit (say 5 degrees to the left while Car is driving straight) and the HICAS light wasnt coming on then so im guessing that the HICAS thinks that at that point where the stock steering wheel is was 0 degrees when it was actually to the left about 5 degrees
So just wanted to know if I'm right and this means im going to have to adjust the sensor 5 degrees to the right so the steering wheel is straight and if so how do I do that?
I thought I would have to pull the steering shaft out of the rack and rotate it 1 tooth to the right to fix the problem but i dont think that is the solution as I now believe the sensor will need to be adjusted
So if anyone has experience in this I would be very happy to hear your results
Thanks Guys
