  1. pretty sure its the outside temp sensor for your air con if its the one im thinking of
  2. buy a crap car while ur on ur p's, put some money in the bank, then have a smaller loan or buy the car outright.... thats not just stupid advice so u stop asking questions, thats coming from someone having an 18 grand loan and knowing that if id had a year or more to save it could have been a 14 grand loan or less.... Dont bother converting turbo to non turbo, it will either cost lots or go like a bag of $hit.
  3. Im sorry i still dont see how having no blow off valve is any different to having a plumback bov emissions wise..... atmo yes i can see that it vents to the atmosphere... but a plumback bov vents the air back to just in front of the turbo and then out the air filter, and no bov would mean that the pressure would go back through the turbo and out the filter anyway.... Im not having a go I'm just saying how it is to meet emissions. If you can explain then im more then happy to learn something
  4. yeh i agree, i dont think BOVs are on there just for emmissions considering that if I had no BOV on my car it would still dispose of the wasted boost the same way - back through the air filter. theres no other way for it to vent to atmosphere..... BOV's serve a purpose, im not saying they are necessary for a turbo car but they do serve a purpose
  5. I think the main reason that skylines run bov's anyway is because the run ceramic wheel turbos. Which from what I understand suffer more from failure due to heat and shock loading. There was alot of debate about the whole holding boost between gear changes or whatever it was but I think the point of it is to maintain the speed of the turbine rather then maintaining boost. For example, non bov creates backpressure through the turbo decreasing the speed of the turbine where venting the pressure retains the speed of the turbine so it can create boost again quicker. Thats me trying to be techincal about it, thats just things from my understanding. Could be 100% wrong or 100% right im not claiming to know everything
  6. Thats Your AAC valve pipe, goes from the crossover pipe to your AAC valve for Idle airflow
  7. think it really depends what sort of turbo it is, if its only a baby turbo its probably alright, bit more info on the turbo? might have a info plate on it somewhere.
  8. Squeaking noise? its probably just coming from the pedal itself, mine does it and its just the spring or some part of the pedal that needs to be lubed. Try spraying some WD40 or something around the pedal bracket and see if it helps
  9. No info on side feed aftermarket fuel rails?
  10. Just wondering if they exist? Looking for something a bit nicer then the stock fuel rail and one day will be getting aftermarket side feeds so just wanted to know if theres anything out there Thanks
  11. They sell the Autobahn88 Intake Pipe (Steel?) someone mentioned it before
  12. good manual ones are alright. I have the boost control kit for the power fc in my car and its pretty good, same as the avcr pretty much but i think
  13. Real life proof that they work lol, well for me anyway
  14. yeh maybe try pulling the vac line that goes to the top of the bov off and blow through it, if u can then u may have a faulty bov. Should be easy to find one on here in the for sale section or put in a wanted to buy for one. Think they only go for about $30-$50 usually so no big loss anyway. Or you could go aftermarket, but if u do I recommend going with a plumback arangement like stock, atmo bov's are more problems then they are worth
  15. with stock intercooler? it might not be great As for your stock BOV. It should open pretty much at any boost level and any rpm. I replaced mine with an aftermarket plumback BOV just cause i was sick of the sound of the stock one because it opened up all the time. Your bov works through differential pressure, You have a vac/boost feed that comes from your manifold that plugs into the top of the BOV. Then you have the boost that exists in your pipe. So when you close your throttle body, you get manifold vacum to pull your bov up combined with pressure from the piping that pushes it up. So... check your vacumm line to the top of the BOV to see if its blocked or something, make sure its coming from the manifold as well.... maybe pull the bov off and make sure that the valve is still operating by giving the valve a push it should move resonably freely. Check those two things first, if everything seems ok then maybe your bov is stuffed. Thats all I can think of right now
  16. I think that might be what it is, sounds like a good theory
  17. I got 3 different sizes, 3mm, 5mm and 6mm. But that was to replace all my boost/vac lines. But anyways that will sort you out if you want to do the lot
  18. if ur with just cars they will put an extra excess on for your wheels. so it doesnt affect your normal premium just has a seperate excess did this with mine, and its just a $300 excess or something, and my wheels are pretty expensive
  19. ah sorry, didnt see u wanted to run stock air box. My pics might still be helpful i dunno?
  20. Sorry its not an aftermarket turbo or anything but this is how mine is setup with BOV return and stock breather. Its a bit hard to see how its all setup but hopefully it helps a bit Basically has a 45degree silicon joiner off the turbo to the stainless pipe which goes for a little bit then has a slight bend in it and expands from 2.5inch to 3inch. I bought all the pipes off another skyline with the same setup and just altered to fit how i wanted.
  21. The pump should be on a bracket and will just slide out of its mounting points. As for the sock, im not sure, i thought the 044 just picked up through the bottom of the pump but i dont know enough about them. I have a tomei fuel pump which is just on a bracket the same as the stock one with a hose and a sock on the end of it. you will have to mount it up to the stock bracket somehow, not sure how you do that with the 044. I got the tomei cause I heard the 044's have trouble picking up fuel at times when under 1/4 of a tank
  22. Hi Im after an R33 Series 2 front bar (with the indicators and lights etc) and the single slat series 2 grille (not the mesh one) Was hoping to get it from somewhere near where I live (Mackay) so I didnt have to pay with freight but dont think this is gonna happen. Just thought id try my luck here Wanted in black, but have to respray some other panels anyway so colour isnt much of an issue PM me Thanks Callan
  23. Agree.... Even if there is a way to restore the pump to its prime, it would be better to go for a new pump to save your reconditioned pump failing.
  24. is there a difference between the series 1 and 2 stalk? my series 1 has the fog light switch on the stalk? or are you talking about the going from the switch on the center console to the switch on the stalk
  25. Yeah no need to go higher if the power is dropping off.
