  2. so using the stock runners from the standard intake plenum? Buy the stock intake manifold or just the runners and use that?

  4. If its an exedy heavy duty clutch then it probably wont see over about 250ish rwkw. So depending on the power your planning on making you might need to keep that in the back of your mind. If its a greater clutch then this then my mistake lol But yeah as stated: ECU Injectors FMIC Fuel Pump Exhaust AFM all good starting points. Probably an electronic boost controller as well unless ur plannig to just run the turbo on the wastegates boost setting.

  6. you dont need the light to be on during the day? just go straight to the cig lighter light. Easiest and most effective. Dont worry about diming and stufff. If your that worried put a variable resistor in the circuit somewhere....
  7. as long as u can get to them should be pretty easy, unscrew old ones screw in new ones. Probably go from under the car and remove that plastic guard at the bottom

I was originally thinking of getting a stainless steel thin plate made up with the nismo logo on it and a border then putting it over there but not sure if that would look any good Not planning on showing the interior up to much so I might take it to a re-trimmer for a quote or just so they can have a look Still open to anyone who has a spare dash they want to sell me but
  11. so your using a boost controller of some sort? I thought it might be detonation but its to hard to tell... can u desecribe it any better? Does it push through the miss or does the miss at 5000 stop the car from reving any further Just put as much info as you can think of up here and ull get a better answer even if you think its pointless information just put it up anyway.

  13. I dunno if this will help anyone but might do. I did my timing belt with my 100k service as u do and had a strange whirring noise. BUT this only occured when the timing cover was on, i pulled it back off to check everything was ok and no noise. Mine is ok now but still makes the noise every so often. I belive it is the rubbery/silicon ring around the outside of the cover vibrating lightly on the engine. Havent tried this theory on mine yet becuase mine doesnt really make the noise but maybe someone else has this problem. Running a ring of silicon or similar around the outside just to give it something soft to seat on would probably be an easy fix if this was the problem
  14. +1 for cigerette lighter. the light uses a serperate power feed but the same earth as the power for the lighter itself. mines been running off there faultlessly for near a year. Using an LED in my boost gauge but

My dash has had this gash in it since i bought it (first Australian owner, think they had an RSM or something sitting there) I've been putting off buying a new dash for a couple or reasons but i was just wondering if anyone has heard of/had something done where they mould a piece of vinyl or something into position so that it covers up something while moulding in with the rest of the dash. Sorry its a bad explination but I think you get the idea This is the gash that im talking about, sorry for the not so good photo.... Any help is much appreciated also if anyone has a series 1 R33 dash they want to sell let me know as I may be interested in buying it if there is not an easier solution Cheers Callan
  17. ur thread title says R33 but it looks like u have an R32.... If its a 33 then it shoulnt have anything to do with the P/S pump as its all electric. Best to clear up what model yours is first

  19. Heres some photos for everyone There a good quality item, My gear boot looks a bit funny but its just cause of how its sitting with my short shifter
  20. mine has the wire to run to your handbrake so some functions will only work when the handbrake is on/up i think it blocked out dvd's obviously and video on ipod. But normal ipod and radio functionality was normal. dont have any offical documents to quote but i think as long as its not displaying video its ok. I have a button to turn my screen off so i just hit that if I get pulled over just in case
  21. Id say start from scratch. Remove the stock solonoid (the thing in your pic where u have one hose blocked off and the other hose comes from the BOV return/plumback Line). Get rid of it, and block off the hose from the bov return line. Run a boost line from part of your intercooler piping on the high pressure side of the turbo to your actuator. I got the impression from one of your posts that you have a dump pipe that has a wastegate flap built into it, meaning you have 2 wastegate flaps (1 on the turbo and 1 on the dump pipe).... i believe i misunderstood this as you trying to explain that u have a bellmouth dump pipe that is one pipe from your exhaust wheel and wastegate flap rather then a seperate pipe from your wastegate flap that joins into the exhaust later. I know people have already suggested to run a line from ur pipework directly to ur actuator. but Im just saying get rid of all the crap thats in there so you just have the basic one line. See how u go
  22. standard turbo? at 20psi for a few minutes it wouldnt have liked that? id definetly try new plugs and a fresh tank of fuel. BTW, should go for some motul 8100 (xcess i think it is) only 20 buks more then turbolight and its full synthetic. Just an idea. Let us know how it turns out.
  23. still awaiting final tune, have decided to do a few things before chucking it back on the dyno for that but mine was street tuned and got 230hp. Not bad but me and tuner both in agreeance that could be better. Like i said though postphoning getting the better figures with a dyno tune till I've added my front facing plenum. i thinkk..... I got 228.7hp @ 10.5psi (have a slight top end boost drop, still trying to work that out but should be sitting at constant 12psi) about 200rwkw is achievable for a car with your mods, depending on a few factors
  24. common common common for Skylines to run rich with the stock ECU i pulled 180hp with the same mods as u minus the fuel pump power fc saw that power jump dramatically
