  1. find a photo of the R33 GT2500 or whatever it is, it has a front facing plenum standard. Say your car is one of them If you really want a stock plenum I have one but I most likely live a fair way away from where you are lol
  2. There was also an RB30S im pretty sure, in old patrols?
  3. should be alright, might have to remove the throttle body at the worst. Using a sealing compound when you knock it in for a good seal
  4. Im in rocky, ill be there in 3 hours? lol sorry
  5. he wants to block off the recirc pipe not the BOV...... Yes that would make it atmospheric vent, But dont bother, your car will run horribly and will probably sound annoying
  6. No clutch lines Phil?
  7. Thanks Phil for organising this and putting up with their crap lol
  8. EDIT: Sorry I had the RB20E Page up This is RB25
  9. 4500rpm is the point Or people have dual stage boost controllers that allow 2 boost levels at the flick of a switch Or electronic boost controllers (Some) have multiple boost settings, scramble boost (higher boost at the push of a button) etc Just different levels of Boost
  10. as above depends on what you want and how much you want to spend I have this Pioneer unit: Its pretty good, and wasnt overly expensive. I like the fact it has a rotary knob for volume instead of buttons. Yeah lol I'm easy pleased
  11. Love the last photo Very nice car, and well done with the photos
  12. Call NPC, there pretty helpful. Ive got a sprung button clutch from them but they will do more practical clutches and resonably priced. http://www.npcperformance.com.au/index.html
  13. Well.... lol I thought in case there was some other problem and he didnt know what it was
  14. I had a kit that came with my plenum. Included all the bolts, fittings etc. It had the fitting for the radiator hose. Now i got mine off someone else but he bought it from autobarn and they sold him the kit as well.... So maybe give autobarn a go Its basically just a press fitting that will just tap in, seal it with some loctite or similar when you put it in Im betting autobarn will have it it or will be able to get it in for you. If not I think (but not 100% sure) that the genuine Greedy plenums are the same so might be able to get the fitting through nengun or something in the option parts? EDIT: Just checked nengun and greenline, doesnt look like you can get the fitting for the Greedy plenums, Try autobarn
  15. Do the smart thing that not many people do Buy a non turbo Skyline, Drive it, save your money and either buy a GTR/GTST when your done with P's Or spend the money on building a decent engine in the mean time From the sounds of it your mate doing a 'backyard job' is dodgy at the very least
  16. Can it be done: Yes Is it worth it: No not really Buy a non-turbo Skyline
  17. You'll need to pull the big end/main caps off to see what the condition of the bearings is. If you do that and post up photos of the bearings then lots of people on here would have experience in engine rebuilds and will tell you whats been happening As already said but, major damage will be pretty obvious.
  18. is that just on stock ecu paul?
  19. top hose outlet? which one are you talking about? are you talking about the bleed nipple?
  20. Exhaust shop can make you up one, from memory people have said it costs around $120 depending on what you want I have a metal intake pipe but i bought mine second hand as a kit
  21. There are 2 different RB30 Manual Gearboxes (in the VL's anyway, not sure about R31's) "__7" and "MX5" I forget what the second one is but it ends in a 5. The "__7" is the RB30ET box and the MX5 is the non turbo one. Basically from what I remember the MX5 is similar to the RB20 box BUT has different 1st and 2nd Gears. Im not sure about the Turbo box. I think the turbo has a slightly bigger flywheel then the non turbo Search on Calais turbo would be the go... Or if you want an R31 box then someone on here will be able to help you surely
  22. In a mates Skyline had someone yell out "Take your 4 Cylinder home"
  23. photoshop I'm pretty sure
  24. how many revs are u doing when trying to down shift? Id suggest re-writing that to make a bit more sense But I think youve probably stuffed a synchro if anything, or maybe you need to change your gearbox oil I dont think ive ever heard of a 'bent' clutch or selector...... and either of these would result in more then one gear not shifting correctly
  25. I like my PFC Boost control kit Mines been tuned at 12psi with the kit, I havent touched it in ages and it always hits boost the same and holds the same. One of these days i might have a play with one of the empty boost settings to see if I can get boost to come on harder but overall I like it Purely because I dont have an extra thing in my dash, its consistant and you still get 4 boost settings if you really want to have all 4 I get what people say about it not being as feature packed as some of the others out there but for basic users it is a good controller I think. The only thing is its a bit of a pain to set at first, but once you work out whats what its alright
