lol, bad spotting haha..i said, rb30, and meant sohc...it doesn't have the problem the rb25 ,manifold has....cars have trapped 9.5@145mph with autos..on 67mm old school turbos with them, cars have run high 9s in full street trim auto with 3540s and e85 with them aswell auto cars have made over 500rwkw with them....,...the idea is sound...lol having said that, a mate is having a high comp DOHC motor built atm and is going big on the standard manifold, bigger than anything ive seen, wilst he could afford to do whatever he really wanted, it all for shits and giggles..if you do it yourself it costs only time and a big of welding, nothing to loose really... your right lithuim, someone needs to do a nice cast manifold and get it tooled up in china, i thought Stao might have done it theres been some really nice supra setups with those cast manis over the last yr or so! cheers darren

My mate ran his 3076 .63 car up with E85 and a water injection nozzle. Unfortunately between this and the last tune, he changed to a thicker headgasket and arp studs., something has gone asmiss, it went from making 334rwkw at 7000rpm, to 300 at 5500rpm and nosing over. Until the problem is found out, all i can tell you at this stage, after 5 ish pulls power starts dropping from heatsoak like usual After adding a 50cc jet with pure water, , Theres no power loss!, a cooler intercooler pipework and lucky to be 1rwkw difference every pull, even after 2 hrs of pulls Enough for Pete at nistune to say its the most consistent car hes ever tuned ..ever... once the water injection was switched on if anyone want a water injection controller, i have my Coolingmist CGMS gauge for sale, $150 p.m me, im taking the pump system out and putting it on another car and don't need controller cheers darren Afte

Was asking out of interest to do a low mount stealth Rb30 setup on stock manifold, the 3794 might not flow much less... but i bet on a 3.0 motor it will make quite a healthy amount more backpressure on kill.. i don't have to tell you what that will do...lol cheers darren
-
Oh i asked Fp if they would do a super 94 with a T04S comp cover to match the 3794 size wise. Unfortunately they can't, they didn't tell me why.. but i am guessing that using the larger shaft, the center section is different and they cant run that backing plate to fit that comp cover..at a guess? sucky.. cheers darren

EJ;s suck a horse cock..lol, they need the 2.5 to spool like a conventional 2.0..horrible p.o.s ...the vibration from the exhaust is good to get your female freinds of though, they are basically a 1250kg vibrator cheers darren

The G3 made 270rwkw on 17psi (auto)Stao, with a leaking blowoff valve ...on the lowest reading dyno in the state, its nicknamed the heartbreaker..lol comparable to about 290rwkw on the other DD dynos around the place here. be interesting to see what this does.. cheers darren

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
jet_r31 replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Atm, me and 4bidn1 have removed hypergear G3 and sent if of to get new design rear turbine wheel, replaced 044/surge tank setup with intank 460 walbro, shifted Z32 into cooler pipe in a 3 inch alloy tube, and changing water injection system to a air/water atomiser setup with no pump. and looks wise have fitted a vented carbon fibre bonnet, just need ganadors now to finish it off.. cheers darren -

Waste Gate On Standard Manifold Vs Waste Gate On Turbo
jet_r31 replied to r34unit's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeh i remember that, think simon posted the picture cheers darren -
its mixed in water..there is no fumes..lol. Out of interest i pulled my stageas turbo of the other week to get it upgraded again, and after 15,000km running pre-turbo on a pump/atomiser system and a 600cc CM coolingmist jet..there was no sign of any compressor wear....apparently the coolingmist nozzles have the finest spray? I only did it as i wanted to see for myself the results, after seeing all the internet images , i still woudn't recommend it unless you want to take ownership for your own actions. cleaned the 40 micron filter aswell, f**k me even quality meth at 50/50 it leaves shit in there after a while, without the filter you would end up with a dead motor and clogged nozzle constantly...its easy to see how people in the U.S and there moronic ways of running 100 percent meth leave a trail of broken motors.... its asking for it from the tuning side of things, let alone what it would do ,running it straight through one of these wmi pumps...lmao To be honest im half thinking of going back to straight water again for a daily car, the demineralised water is clean as, and probally alot better for pump life, still makes f**kloads of power over 98 to.. cheers darren
-
as is discussed, the cartridges are average..its happens often, i had one fixed last year , they don't like being pushed hard.. Pretty sure there lots of people on this forum that have cooked them. GTX is probally worse with the bigger comp wheel.. there cartridge upgrades out there for them from memory to fix the problem cheers darren

Rb25 + Gt3076R & Mods, Made Low Power On Dyno Tune Why?
jet_r31 replied to DriftSquad's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
how could you give a shit...im sure it happens all the time... fixing d.i.y er problems, im sure its been worse since drifting started.. a high percentage are thrashed out shitboxes.. people need to take ownership of there cars problems..if they put it together... or they can pay $70+p/hr for someone else to go through it for them and cop it in the chin f**k being a tuner for a living.. cheers darren
