Thats a low 9 sec turbo on e85 in a lc with a 3.0bottom and auto with a bigger housing. dont blame the tuner..its highly obvious that your problems are elsewhere... The tuners job is to tune what comes in..its the person who put it togethers problem. If its auto then id take a gtx3582 over a gtx3071 anyday people have to remember it aint in a manual r33/34... massive difference.. cheers darren

^whats the clutch like? The more i watch mates race. The more i think that anything more than A big single plate may shock the tyre to much and you need that slip To get the car to roll out a few ft before smashing the tyre I know radials are a lot worse for that aswell

Oh well..no matter how much it costs..its still easier And a helluva lot cheaper than buying c16 or roo16 ,which you had to do In the past before e85 to get that much octane..lol

you have a gtx3540? I did a vl with a 3540 1.06 internal gay..t we ran 30psi and 20 degrees of timing on pump 98 and 450cc of water/methanol 50/50 mix raced it for a year like that. Went 10.4 @134 mph s.. manual. Only took it of to upgrade to precision 6466 turbo and did e85 as i took my water inj setup back of it cheers darren

Honestly, ive had it on all my cars now, and daily drivers..if you run out of water, your a absolute moron...seriously.. injector clogging is from running meth in the mix..just dont run it..and half the morons don't run a filter..as the cheap kits dont have them in them running a filter is 100 percent needed if there any amount of meth run in the system... cheers darren

Yeh its good, Im building a rb30 vl streeter atm, im going to just use water/meth inj so i dont have to go to airport 30 mins away to buy e85 or i will just never drive it... I think i can run a 9 sec pass with it and 98 octane with a mid frame turbo quite easily..time will tell... cheers darren

update: found problem was a boost leak in one of cooler joins after dyno Put car back on a 4wd mainline dyno this time, its best before on a rwd one was 338rwkw on 16psi on e85 with driveshaft removed Anyway made 310rwkw on 16psi in 4wd mode. Increased boost all the way up till it holds 27psi in the midrange and 22psi up top with a turbotech bleeder 340rwkw 4th gear, 22psi. with 4wd connected upwith a 3076 56t .63 housing with a 38mm external gate jammed on exhaust housing on stock mani/ jjr return flow cooler and stock neo motor.. crosses 200awkw at 4000 ish rpm would be around 355-360rwkw...in 2wd Scary thing is at that level..its still making power lol. its nearly tapped out though .. .but mate chickened out After 2 hrs again, awkw never strayed beyond 1awkw difference with a return flow cooler/ 50cc pre turbo jet/ straight water and a .63 housing wound up tight.. its a basic setup, but makes the power.. cheers darren

When you get boost leaks with modern turbos, power honestly doesnt drop to Much up top like people here think so saying something is in ballpark power wise doesnt mean much What you do lose is area under the curve. And i can tell you not many dyno Operators pick it up on the dyno. Ive always found playing around on rd picks up that stuff. Dynoes do not load a car up like on road. Even on the harshest ramp rate. Experienced it many times myself.. My last build did same thing and was blowoff valve. Boost went from 21 to 27psi in midrange once fixed. Gate woudnt open in lower gears power on dyno was within 10rwkw as what youd expect its harder to pick up with autos due to load applied and the way loads applied... Cheers Darren

I woudnt expect the 6870 to take over in power till up near the 6466 is close To tapped out Which on 30psi is no where even close Even a 6466 is only just to take over smaller frames on that boost.. Cheers Darren

What does it do on a dyno What boost does it run to make 380rwkw? Same as on road, or is it going higher on the road due To a lot more load? Be better road tuning it and seeing how fuel it uses to determine Boost pressure if its different on road. Cheers Darren

I have seen it happen due to to much turbine backpressure with internal gate not being big enough and because of load boost went higher every gear. But not like your describing.. Cheers Darren

f**k knows. Its sounds like a boost leak Thats the only time ive had the same problem. Even my auto gt42 streeter would make fullboost in 1st they should..autos applies lots and lots of load. Manuals are different again Cheer Darren

lol, i had that problem with my bov on my stagea ..replaced it and boost went from 19 dropping to 16psi to 26psi with a turbosmart compact ..lol cheers darren

Case in point being the gtx wheels work at highpressure ratios Maybe a gtx3076 can take the hit of being shifted across the map and the only Result is a higher intake air temp but not enough to skew the numbers to Much Cheers Darren

Late to the party,but re the return flow cooler turbos vs non return. When people say it hasnt affected them. Is it just because the hypergear stuff is being dynoed and dynoed on specific motors and is targeted for a specific purpose that the resulting pressure drop shifted the compressor out of the sweet spot of the map. Hes then reworked it to shift it back taking into account that. Whereas a aftermarket turbo built not for a specific purpose has a different map And by chance /luck or design is less affected about being put on a different spot on its compressor map Cheers Darren

Have a scotty 3inch intake pipe, rb25 to standard airbox is suited to Gt3071/76 3582 as has 4 inch to 3 inch reducer s.a but will post $150 delivered p.m me cheers darren
