  1. Thanks for the advice fellas. I'll hit up a good Sydney suspension shop
  2. A word of warning with citric adhesive remover- it marked my clearcoat. Blowdryer worked good and the stickers are off, but i'm not using the adhesive remover for any more of the glue. What about metho or wax & grease remover? Are they gentle on the clearcoat? I'm not fussed about the paint, it looks as though a professional detailer can just polish it out
  3. I don't like it. Isn't that different to any other white R35. Wheels are ok, but only because the car is ordinary looking.
  4. You think the weights can make it vibrate that much? Ok i'll get it looked into- just annoying when workshops don't get it right first time round. No chance of the bearings being rooted? (i hope not, more work involved)
  5. Guarantee the chikkies dig a little Pikachu on the boot lid IN A PARKING LOT, Friday night. Random girl: "Hey! I, like, totally love ur Pikachu! Heehee can you, like, draw me one too you little hottie?" You: "For shizzle baby. Which colour you want? I gots all da colourz" *folds arms* Random girl: "WoOowww you're, like, sooo adorable! My Corolla is white, make it pink yaaa!" (hugs you like she's on heat) You: "Damnnn girl! Be careful, you messin' up ma Versace shirt, getting all creased up and sh*t. Step back h*e, i'll draw yo' Pokemon then i'll put it on you later. Don't take yo' fine a** no-wiz-ere" Random girl: "Ohh my Gaard!" (knees begin to wizobble)
  6. Hey interloper...love the sig
  7. Awesome, actually i think i have some citric adhesive remover at home Legends.
  8. Seriously annoying. I want to mod my car but i think what's the point if it'll be getting me fined? So what, just put a stock airbox on? That's f**ked.
  9. Thanks for the speedo warning They're Nismo, and i'm 95% sure are S-tune. So keep 45 profile OK. If i went up to 18's i'd go 40 profile yeah? Will getting a wider tyre help the ride at all, or just grip? As they sit, the 235's are too small and aren't flush with the rim. Can i change spring rates and to avoid changing coilovers? My mate reckons these are drift spec coils (came on the car when imported) Also: when i push on the car (i.e. on the boot) there is sh!t all flex from the suspension and the tyre.
  10. Sweet. Blow dryer and wax and grease remover/metho? I'll try that out- anyone else recommend anything for the sticky residue?
  11. I recently replaced my tyres and got a wheel alignment and balance for all 4 corners. This helped high speed stability and smoothness, but the steering wheel still shudders and the car feels unsafe. What else could be causing this? I'm aware one or more bearings might need regreasing/replacing. Is this the only possible solution? Thanks.
  12. I've got a set of coilovers and the ride is really stiff with the damper setting on the softest. The front isn't overly stiff (the weight of the motor helps a little) but the rear skips over bumps. Gets annoying on crappy roads. The rears are 17x9 inch with 235/45 rubber on. I checked this forum and saw this rim is ideal with 255 wide rubber. Will wider tyres give more flex and soften the ride up? Or is a 50-55 profile necessary? Cheers
  13. Hey lads, I've got some stickers on the boot and left and right fenders that i want to get rid of, they're kinda old looking. What's the best/safest method to do this? I heard a blowdryer and some kind of solution will do it? Thanks in advance.
  14. For the price i'd rather have the new M3. jk.
  15. Yeah i met this random guy who had an EVO IX and said you can corner ridiculously fast in it, but the computers make it all happen without much driver input. He said it's not a real driver's car.
  16. Top Gear won't allow the GTR to whoop Ferrari's, Porsches, Koenigseggs, Lambo's etc etc. The show's producers will be cautious of tipping the scales- and turning potential buyers away from these expensive cars toward a cheap Jap supercar. Top Gear could be sued (ok, i'm speculating) by these automakers. There's a hierarchy of sports cars and although someone like Jeremy Clarkson will toss off about how awesome GTR is, he'll never say it's better than an R8, or an F430. For example, read the recent review in TG mag, where they pitted a 911 turbo against an R35. They tossed off there about the GTR there too, how balanced and powerful it is, but they said it just didn't have that 'magic' and sheer overall quality of the 911 as a driver's car and as a racing machine. They said GTR came VERY close to equalling the STANDARD in sports cars, but just missed the mark. Sometimes i question whether the TG lap times are fabricated for this reason.
  17. My 2c is if you're stopping HICAS, chuck the whole thing out. On a side note, I like HICAS. Is it really that bad for anything other than drifting guys?
  18. If its stuffed- fix it. If you know the head gasket is rooted, and your engine is a milkshake maker, why'd you ask us what the problem is and then say you like it?
  19. Lol, just picturing you scootering around the bends and then sh!tting yourself when you spotted the GTR lol. I'm gonna be clinically dead for about 10 seconds when i see one for the first time Hope it made your holiday (if that's why you're there) even better!
  20. OK, i'm staying clear of DBA now.
  21. Yeh i know you're buying plates...but you gonna shtick them on the real car?
  22. Looks impressive. Makes me realise how poo the stock manifold is, meh.
  23. The early bird gets the plates Nice one...for investment or you buying one?
