  1. no, plug is different
  2. and if your real good you can get BETTER economy without them
  3. pull the vac line off the actuators and plug them up. then see when you hit full boost, make sure you back off when you do tho. if its the same, wire the gates shut and try again. keep a very close eye on boost and back off as soon as you reach your target, otherwise it'll keep going higher
  4. yes, they're identical
  5. just to be clear, i have no personal experience so cant say for sure. why are you worried anyway? had a big xmas?
  6. pretty sure it does include a drug screen. so stay off the hash for a while
  7. yep s1. so you need a green sticker afm, which is silvertop and s1 25.
  8. fill to the hump on the dipstick and ignore how much it is in L
  9. unlikely you'll make 50rwkw more with a IW .73 housing, sure the comp side will flow more than that but you'll be limited by the exhaust housing. like i said earlier in the thread i doubt anyone will see anywhere near the full difference on anything other than the 1.06 housings with a 3076. only talking about peak power tho
  10. plug is part of the main engine loom, so do you have a s1 or s2 loom? easiest way to tell is, do you have an ignitor module?
  11. turbotech ones are better and cheaper. but if the turbosmart is working fine its up to you if its worth changing or not
  12. apart from neo all RB thermostats open at 76.5C, but they're in the bottom hose (cool side) and the temp sender is in the top hose (hot side) so the readings you get on your gauge/ecu are going to be higher than 76.5 when it opens. hence why 80-90 is perfectly normal and nothing to stress over. with a standard cap and normal coolant it wont boil until over 110 afaik, higher pressure cap will raise this but thats too hot already, so a higher pressure cap is a little pointless and can only cause trouble.
  13. s1 and s2 read the same but are different. s1 has a green sticker and is the same as silvertop. s2 has a pink sticker. rb30 is completely different, no good
  14. someone needs to shoot whoever did that, looks fkn terrible
  15. 80 is normal. see how it goes first, if it starts getting up towards 100 on hot days then give everything a flush, new thermostat and coolant and try again.
  16. yes you need a z32 ecu, used to have to swap a few wires around to make it work but now nistune sell them re pinned to suit 25s.
  17. no need for aftermarket thermostats or rad caps. if everything working properly you shouldnt have any troubles. my stockish 31 cooling system doesnt go over 80 degrees even thrashing it on 40 degree days, still has the standard 15+ year old thermostat and cheap rubber hoses
  18. you dont have to use a gauge, with most ecu's you'll have the wideband giving the ecu software a readout, so you can read it on the laptop whilst tuning, no need for a gauge. and if you dont want to pull anything off you can run the wires out the back of the bonnet and through the passenger window from the standard o2 spot, cant really do that from the tailpipe...
  19. somethings obviously not right. what sort of boost control are you using (gate, b/c, vac line setup etc)?
  20. nistune for budget ecu most budget builds use standard 30e pistons but if your going to the effort of building it get some 9:1 30det pistons
  21. and by standard actuator i meant standard solenoid, my bad
  22. standard o2 sensor is only used during light load cruising at a constant throttle. with all aftermarket computers you can and should turn it off completely whilst tuning anyway (which is when you'd be using a wideband) so its very easy to use it in the standard spot. tailpipe clips are easier for tuners because its quicker and the dynos setup that way, on the road its easier in the standard spot.
  23. leave the standard actuator setup and run that to the actuator like you did originally and block the hose on the comp housing
  24. aslong as all the other bolts were torqued properly it shouldnt blow. yer its more likely than with all of them in but theres no reason for it to instantly die, takes a lot of pressure to bend a head enough for it to blow because of 1 bolt
  25. stear clear of innovate. old ones are good but they're newer stuff is very unreliable and buggy.
