  1. all the information you need is in this section already. boost depends on which turbo theres aftermarket pistons to suit 9:1 30det, have a search dont need oil squirters fit the knock sensors, they bolt straight up 25 oil and water pumps will be fine you must fit some sort of restrictors, the standard 30 feeds are too big for the 25 head. the size depends on oil pump, use of the motor, what you do with vct etc
  2. yer finishing it off on the dyno would be a good idea. its not really a seat of the pants dyno tho, if you throw in more timing everywhere and your run takes a full second less to get from speed x to speed y in the same conditions then your likely making more power, you'd simply do this for each cell, very time consuming and not ideal but it gives you an idea. until the dyno just throw in a few degrees everywhere and go from there. you can be pretty agressive everywhere off full boost to get it nice and responsive. i'd keep it under 50 degrees on light load til on the dyno tho
  3. ideally you need some sort of dyno to find MBT, as your likely to reach that before it knocks, unlike ulp which almost always knocks before reaching MBT in turbo cars. if you really wanna do it on the street you could keep doing runs on the exact same bit of road in the same gear and figure out what makes the most power in each area from how fast you move through that section of map (same way some programs give you a dyno graph from logging rpm vs speed), would be a bit sketchy tho. the other thing that seams to affect timing with e85 a bit is AFR's, the richer you run it the more timing you need for the same result, as the mixture burns slower than a leaner mixture.
  4. bigger dumps dont increase lag unless they're way too big
  5. its better than a 25 but not as good as it could be. to me it doesnt feel fast off boost but it certainly picks up speed quickly and has more torque than most other cars
  6. nothing yet, progress is slow, very slow. always lowball people, its 31 tradition
  7. happens a lot more often than you think
  8. try winding the idle screw in a bit. if its open too far the ecu will pull timing to try bring the idle back to where it should be
  9. whats it idling at? what ecu?
  10. all twin cam RB belts are the same
  11. the cas is part of the dizzy on rb30es
  12. thats exactly why kyle recommends bigger gates with his manifolds, because the efficiency of the manifold means theres not much exhaust flow down the gate pipe. i think when i was enquiring about one he recommended a 60mm gate for that reason
  13. nissan service manual doesnt say to change the head bolts after every use. its usually recommended when building a motor but its not essential. i re used the stockers when building my 30det, head hasnt lifted off yet.....
  14. gotta love people from joondalup.....
  15. about a week
  16. looks like it could use a bit more gain. theres a guide on here for tuning profecs if you wanna try make full boost earlier
  17. could be opening far enough for the standard pump but jams before opening far enough to hold 42psi with the 044 as it flows a lot more than the stocker. not sure bout the nismos but cant see it having any trouble. if you do go an aftermarket reg make sure its a quality one like nismo, tomei etc. i have a tomei reg and it works perfecly
  18. your making more power from 2000-4000rpm than my last dyno run, doesnt seam low to me at all. what boost controller are you using?
  19. auto clutch 24 sundercombe st ossie park 9244 4496
  20. yep, it activates the moment you touch the throttle from idle. with a power fc anyway, not sure bout the standard computers
  21. could be a faulty reg that cant open all the way. try another stock one if you can get your hands on one easily
  22. i know, just joking, this is a whore thread after all
  23. you have a metal head gasket, not a slapper i've just got myne running a few backs, still tuning atm but i'm running 23psi from a 1.06 gt3076 through an unopened 150k bottom end, standard nissan gasket etc. will get it on the dyno after tuning to see how much power its making
  24. our base fuel here is 92 RON. then most servos sell a normal premium which is 95 and a better premium which is 98.
