  2. gt40 on full song by 3000rpm? i want some of what your having
  3. have a 30e cable here if anyone needs one
  4. yer i was shocked. good on em tho, they'll be my first port of call for anything electrical from now on
  5. if you can get e85 easily go for the highest you can get otherwise i'd go 9 or 9.3 depending on the use of the car, fuel used etc
  6. probably outweighed by the lighter wheel and better overall design
  7. did you disconnect both vac lines? theres 2 regs each with its own vac line any why start a 2nd thread about the same thing?
  8. yes connect it between the filter and the first reg.
  9. so the remote for the immobiliser/central locking for my camry died today, the small button fell off the circuit board. thought i'd try these guys after seeing this thread. went in there, they resoldered it on the spot in less than 5 mins and didnt charge me a cent for it. best service i've seen in a long time. glad you posted this or i'd have a nice headache right now
  10. old 3076 is rated to 525hp atm, used to be 550hp from memory. new gtx3076 is rated at 640hp which is a 22% increase. seams a little optimistic to me using the same turbine housings but time will tell. old gt3582 is rated to 600hp, new gtx3582 is rated to 750, 25% more.
  11. stock ecu? if so, yes theres a rev limit and no it doesnt hurt to go there aslong as the motors not stone cold not a great idea to sit on limiter too much tho, oil pumps dont like it.
  12. is your tuner logging basic or advanced knock? should be similar but can be slightly different. how many different things is he logging at once? also, how high are the readings your getting on the h/c?
  13. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...6R_803713_1.htm turbine side remains the same from what i can tell
  14. if you pull them off you'll have to top up the coolant and bleed the system afterwards. you shouldnt lose much coolant from there tho as its the highest point of the system
  15. interesting write up. anyone else tested the ethanol content of united's stuff? btw the reason for caltex's higher price is they're simply selling it at 20c/L less than ulp regardless of the mix. so it goes up and down with ulp by the same amount, even tho its only 15-30% ulp
  16. yes it will. i have one if you need one
  17. myne is almost exactly the same as the one nismo posted except low mounted. used a bit of pipe i had lying around, bought the joiner and reducer aswell a couple of fittings for pcv and bov return and put it all together. was pretty cheap. didnt even weld the fittings, just drilled the right size hole and screwed them in with plenty of gasket silicone to seal it up
  18. wouldnt you still be limited by the turbine housings tho?
  19. nothing to do with heat rising. top is hotter because its the outlet and its designed that way so you still get coolant flowing around if the radiator is only half full but yer, sounds pretty normal
  20. they usually hiss but normally you only notice it if you pull it out of the rocker cover with the engine running. if its not leaking i wouldnt worry about it
  21. what loom are you using?
  22. no photo. you just get an A4 sheet of paper with your details on it
  23. if its the same as other cars then it also comes on from low brake fluid. sounds like you just left the handbrake on a bit but worth checking the brake fluid anyway
  24. pull the aftermarket reg off, put the vac line on the stocker and see if it runs. if not the stocker is probably drilled out, if it does run and works then whoever set it up like that is slightly retarded, as no vac line on the stocker will mean higher than factory pressure whilst in vacuum. put it all back to factory and see if it solves your problem
