  1. have photos man, took plenty; may post some up to show what im talking about - ill try n grab as much evidence as possible. thank man was thinking about the camera but im moving soon. Thankyou for the offer on the law firm but im gonna just go it alone with the evidence; i have and see if justice prevails. hmmm not sure about that one, the pins in the driveway could be "malicious" too. Police aint much help, havent even been out to inspect for a police report. My house was robbed about 4 years ago, police didnt show for 2 hours and even though the people were caught (had witnesses) they were never charged and we never recieved any notice of the outcome. i wanna do this the right way rather than the wrong way. Im sure many people will feel empathy with me n jst want me to go down to the blokes place and "get" him but i wont until he poses a real threat to my family or me, right now he's just being a pathetic/pitty vandal.
  2. Hey guys, jst would like some advice and opinions on what to do. Basically a lawnmower (the type you hire and they come do the job) scratched two of my cars while walking his equipment through: 3 on the drivers side where the fuel filler cap is and one hit on my front bar. the beema took the same three scratches on the same side as the gtr, where the fuel cap is. anyways called him and he's denying ever going through the garage, even though there is grass all over the garage and he asked me to leave the door open for him to walk through. Called police and made insurance report; he of coarse being pissed off decided to come back to my place and write/scratch F-U--CK on the pasenger side in red pen just over the wheel arch Next day came back and threw pins all over my driveway in hopes to puncture tyres (luckily we noticed) anyways im gonna get both cars fixed and them take him to court to try n reclaim damages, long shot i know but hopefully justice will be on my side. Just wish for some advice if anyone has been through this before, anything like this etc; opinions will be valuable and appreciated. gonna take this chance, as it will be as the panel beaters to pay some extra cash n have some nismo side skirts and rear pods installed - was gonna do it anyways so i guess a good excuse. thanks for reading -Johnny
  3. jst wanna ask a question cos i was thinkin of doing this a while ago; a ferrari 360 modena aint much to rent but the bond is 30,000dollars and the insurance excess is 10,000dollars now that bond is for something, must read the fine print; e.g. the engine blows or clutch goes while you drive it, will they take that off ur bond???? i lost interest a while ago, wont ever rent a car - let alone an 800+k lambo; bond would be 50k maybe? excess maybe 15k?
  4. definitely twin plate, i have the nismo coppermix and its great; grips nicely, dosent slip but is still nice and light for street use, none of the on-off jerkyness unless you get the friction point just right e.g. jim berry full monty clutch i tried to drive on my mates r34 - couldnt do it lolz i was able to teach myself manual with the coppermix, without difficulty - i will use nothing but in future.
  5. is this gonna be your only car? if it is then id suggest definitely look elsewhere; i sold a beema to buy an r34 gtr and within a year i had to re-buy my beema and a getz to commute. gtr's arent dangerous to drive with light mods, but they definitely are fragile and when they break, part are easy to find but cost a bit, not as much as euro car parts but it all adds up. were not dealing with the gts or gtt here as they are sports cars which can be driven daily, the gtr is and always will be a racer.
  6. Hey man, jst wanna say that ive enjoyed reading your build so far; definitely keep checking for updates everyday. I am interested in you old NUR longblock, it has your stock crank, rods and pistons right? wouldnt mind a spare stock block just in case mine throws the towel. im not sure if you sold it yet so please pm me if you still have it for sale, im in victoria BTW, northern subz -Johnny
  7. the newest high performance car to use a vipec
  8. very cool, looks like i know where im getting my skirts and pods from.
  9. Just finished watching; great DVD Spotted a very sexy black r34 gtr with a really cool bloke named Terry driving it, i almost fell off my seat lolz.
  10. +1 id have no issue driving a gtt as a daily or weekend car. basic tuning, remove the wing, with the nismo bodykit and your home with a set of nice wheels
  11. forgot to mention just blind with methanol tez lolz + acidosis = CNS depression + angiopathies ethanol is alcohol, the stuff thats in spirits and gets u drunk metholated spirits is ethanol + small quanity methanol; the name is to throw alcoholics off buying it to get intoxicated, the added meth is just toxic and will kill you. same as nitrous oxide filling for your car; they mix sulphur so its disgusting to smell and hence you cant abuse the anaesthesic effects of it.
  12. Thanks man for coming here to show not all rotory boys are like rice racing; I love to learn new things - knowing that the 13b has 3.9 litres makes me like them even more as i know that the terrible fuel economy is not from a 1.3 and that it can spool up n support big power of a large turbocharger. doing 3000rpm each rotor is great too as it prevents wear compared to 7-10k rpm piston engines. You know what, rice racing talks about how he dosent have an engineering degree yet talks himself up to 12 years experience; yet, a mechanic i know told me that a 12a was a single rotor - not bad for a 'professional' mechanic. Continue to enjoy your cars, i know one day id love to own one now as i do actually like the sound - well not as an everyday car but weekend warrior, just like my r34 gtr right now. Mad reading right there, the whole rice burner, rice cooker names that were given to all rotory and small capacity FI engines back in the past has kinda dissapeared with the new generation who like all motors. I have a couple of stories like that too in my rb26 gtr, keeps ya happy with your pride and joys. lets not make this personal, unfortunately thats the ego of the internet; im guilty of it when im in a bad mood but feel pretty ashamed afterwards after what i post. Couple of mods on this site gave me some personal attacks n i let it get to me, not anymore - jst waiting to see them in real life now; have a proper 'talk'
  13. I dont wanna compare my engine to a rotory; different mechanics so i doubt anyone on this site is ignorant to compare a piston engine to a rotor. I thought it wasnt four-cycle, as told many times by sydneykid; its 2-cycle repeated for a full revolution which displaces 3.9litres. My girlfirend who aint exactly a car person said instantly when i was watching youtube videos of rx7's "sounds like a chainsaw" now that jst hit me in the head as to the fact, it sounds like one cos it is a 2cycle combustion engine. WOW! we love all engines on this site, you coming here and trying to act like mr bigshot aint impressing anyone; who are you? whats your name? whats your trade? whats your education? what do you look like? this is the net, no1 cares as long as you post some educational information like sydneykid has. You jst post up diagrams n talk about thermodynamics: how do i know u know anything about it. i love the 13b n 20b, every1 on here does, some dont like the sound but hey - who cares but im pretty sure no1 likes you. im sorry, did i get that wrong? 13b has 2 rotor housings and 2 rotors; the 12a? what is it? single rotor??? please educate me
  14. you know thats the second time ive heard about the greddy relocation kit leaking, something wrong with the design or is it installation error reason i ask is i wanted to get one so i can make oil changes easier on my poor hand which have to snake into the engine bay lolz
  15. I like this thread but the bloke coming in here personally attacking sydneykid is quite pathetic; we like rotary engines here, this is just an education class on what capacity they actually are and whether they are 2 cycle or 4 cycle ect. Ive learned heaps! now to summarise so far: -13b is a 3.9litre engine which is why they can make big power numbers and spool up a large turbine - any dispute there? -13b, each rotor spins at 3000rpm; spins a 1:3 gear so its 9000rpm, hence the lowered torque levels until u hit higher rpms. -They are fragile just like our piston engines but make up for it by being light n small; good for drag racing and fits in any small spaceframe like car is that right? now can we drop the 13b engine and concentrate on the 12a, as it only has one rotor and is probably easy to compare than 2 rotors.
  16. Hey Tez, we are and always will be beema fans! Forgot to mention the sunroofs man on e46's, they break 9 times out of 10; the design was flawed from factory so there no way of getting around it lolz, mine has been stuck since i bought it so i havent used the sunroof in 6+years. BTW im talking bout the visor, not the motors or the mechanical section in any way. Have had no problem with the reception of the radio, although that shark fin may not work so great if you are in a poor reception area another +1 on beemas is u can service them yourselves, i do mine much better than the stealerships and use better oils, plugs, fluid, brake pads etc. jst want to let everyone know that i sold my beema to a relative to buy my r34 gtr, missed it so much i bought it back within a year...shows what an impression it made on me as an engineering feat as well as a great feeling car. -Johnny
  17. if you like the sound, keep the pods; i cleaned my mates apexi's with some dishwashing detergent in water...repeated step until clean rinsed many time in clean water n hung out to dry for four or so hours. if ur tired of the noise like i am, going back to the stock box works nicely; there is a change in the feel of the power curve - more violent with the pods and more smooth with the box; i test drive the car on a cold night with the box, then changed to the pods and the feel is definitely there. I prefer the pods for that nice noise n surge of power but the box soon as im only aiming for 170-180awkw grab a stock box from the private classifieds, maybe odify it a tad as its not as free flowing as the r34 gtr airbox
  18. I know it might be what trent said with the cas but has anyone thought about the mechanic taking the car for a testdrive; thrashing it for an hour n filling the tank back up with regular 91 octane fuel? thats why its knocking so bad. plausible as if u only had quarter tank n he used most of it, refilled with 91octane and cos ur car is tuned for 98, its knocking. jst a thought!
  19. lolz, gf between front seats hehe; makes it hard to change gears so u doing 15000rpm in first at 60km/h lolz nothing like that happend to me yet Tez, i try to keep driving as the single task; have changed cd's, grabbed a boob, read a txt msg dats bout it. once i was perving on a hot chick in a car next to me so when i went for a gear change i grabbed the wrong stick..wondered why it was quite a bit bigger lolz
  20. cheers mate, didnt wanna bag ur choice; they were well made but not compared to the earlier models or the latest ones. I have an e46 325i which i got new in 04 n its one of the best quality cars ive owned; having some relatives with the same year mercs and the quality jst aint there; again well built, jst not as good a the beemas of the age. Hope you find what ur looking for, but im jst worried u pik up a smashed/repaired merc n its jst not the same; resale value and maybe some chassi wobble on the freeway. Im thinking of selling my e46 but as mine is in perfect nick with 30k on da clock im searching for a higher price than your budget would probably allow but if ur interested u can pm me about it; not tryna persuade u, jst an option if the merc thing dosent work out. good luck with the hunt mate, definitely ask any questions on this forum as people would love to give u advice n help out. -johnny
  21. not saying they are Sh!t cars but the models in those years were when merecedes increased profits from 1 to 3 billion dollars so their cars were build not as well as they should have been; except for the e-class in that series....was still good. recently they decided, after dropping down the customer satisfaction survey to 8th from bottom, they dropped profits from the 3 back to 1 billion to engineer their cars with ultra-quality in mind. if you want a mercedes, id advice against it as the engines and drivetrains were simply sold off to chrysler 300c, crossfire and ssanyong; says alot. the new generatin of merc are much better; c-class taking 9 years to develop and as you saw in the commercial, door hinges that can hold 90kg, ceramic coated dash for scratch resistance and 4weeks straight on the dyno at 7000rpm for the engine. the clk your looking at has thin paint, light doors and an engine which bmw topped in the era - paint on the older models used to weigh like 25kg. my advice, buy an e46 bmw 3-series as the quality is amazing or buy an older merc. -Johnny
  22. No cat is better, can run a straight pipe with the stock cat plate welded on so no1 notices; simply swap to compliance cat if you need an EPA. A regular RWC mechanic wont notice it either. if you are paranoid n wanna play it right, seems those 5inch body high flow metal cats are the answer; not cheap though. Probably wont pass EPA either so better jst run the straight pipe n swap it to compliance when u need to get tested.....enjoy the flames also lolz
  23. Ouch! 2k? your serious; i know no turbos or plenum/fuel system but 2k? well if mx is gonna sell it, id probably buy it for that price and build it up slowly to slot in my gtr when its done...serious on that if your interested.
  24. Hey man, still find it funy how we have the same number plates hehe anyways r32 was the original, they tried to grow up the r33 and the r34 was a combo of the r32 with more aggressive lines n some better headlights+rear lights; thats debatable on the rear lights cos i still like the r33 rears. Anyways my opinion on the range, love them all; would have either but i chose the r34 cos i had the dosh n i feel special everytime i drive one with its road presence; topped now by the r35 gtr
  25. wow, yeah 6-7k id think if the compression is high no leaks etc; what crate motor you buy? brand new one or nur spec one....dare i say mines?
