  1. "Whatever size you think you need, go one up". Seems to be quite fitting. 8374/1.05 on that thing all day! *Unless you're Pete.
  2. "Exhaust is not loud. The car sounds like a stocker. Well kind of. LOL." - Tuner + 1 for big quality mufflers and a 4 inch drain pipe. Jap junk can stay in the bin where it belongs!
  3. -10 lines FTW!
  4. Small update.... ITS RUNNING. Fired first go! Smells like burnt dust apparently .
  5. Buraz' car. Went from a Precision 6262/0.84 to a 9180/1.05 on his Racepace built 2.8L. "target boost" was the same RPM - 4700 RPM, however the 9180 feels much stronger sub 3500 RPM. (Yes, the bigger turbo with the bigger ass end felt stronger down low). That falls in line with a couple other 2.8/9180 results that have come through lately. 6262 made 430 rwkw at 24 psi 9180 made 483 rwkw at 24 psi and 498 rwkw at 27 psi so possibly needs a larger exhaust. It's only a 3.5 inch RP item. * Adnan loves to rape this thing so the tune is softer than most. Once again, the transient response is the stand out. The stuff that can't be shown on the dyno. 6. Bin the BC junk and put something that's half decent in there. Bushes! The more of these you change, the better. It's definitely a case of "oh wow, I didn't realise how bad it was" until you start replacing them OR changing arms that have new bushes in them. It is basically a 20 year old car. They're going to be flogged! Alloy rear cradle collars is a great place to start. The difference just by doing that is huge! * Every arm on my own car is Pillow Ball and it's nothing like you guys are describing. You would hardly know!
  7. Too much Subaru in this Nissan. Take it off!
  8. Perfectly fine mate, almost ready to go again (didn't know the engine had a problem) ?. The Nismo donks still run cast pistons (atleast to my knowledge). What is so good about them? What exactly are you paying these horrendous prices for? If not stroking, jam a good condition stocker in it and go again. Nismo stuff, (bar a few items... diffs and clutches) generally is merely warmed up stock/basic stuff with a crazy price tag. No if, buts or maybe's about it.
  9. The warm and fuzzy feeling that you overpaid for what is a luke warm stock engine. You'd have to have rocks in your head to pay those prices for a 2.6L. Honestly!!!
  10. Why gate off the housing and not pre turbine?
  11. Used a Sard product that's used in Evo's. I have the stock gear at home. It's yours if you want it.
  12. Dremel? It got spun up then taped for the correct AN sizes. No leaks, no fumes!
  13. Come for a beer on a saturday night and will go for a rip somewhere. Drive first then beers/bourbons obviously ?
  14. Haven't heard anything, Dan. ? on my email though.
  15. Morristech RB26 Ignitor Hi guys, I have for sale a Moristech Ignitor to suit an RB26. This replaces the factory ignitor that lives on the valley cover up the back. This allows about twice the amount of current through the ignitor and helps the stock style coils packs (OEM/Splitfire) deliver some extra punch. This is a 6 cylinder version. It has been used on some 8 second rotories tuned by Unigroup Engineering. It's approximately 7000 Kms old. Only been pulled out because I decided to go to the Godzilla Motorsport Ignition kit. I have sent a few of these around the country to guys that have had ignition issues and it solved their issues all of which went north of 500 WKW I'm after $280 postage included anywhere on mainland Australia. Contact me VIA PM.
  16. Still running a stock alternator with all this extra electrical load, Pete? Be interesting to see a voltage log.
  17. What sort of current do these things draw?
  18. Lol. i just pulled two out. One for the crank trigger and an aftermarket ignitor which isn't needed.
  19. Not quite ready to kick in the guts yet but progress is progress.
