  1. OK, we're trying to get this thing off the ground. Hopefully we'll get a reply from Jason &/or Adrian soon, because your dilemma I know will be, "What if someone comes along in the meantime and wants the whole car?"
  2. Because I'm not so left-brain-dominant I (by choice) also play comp table tennis left handed (to exercise my right brain). I drop down 2 grades but it's just as much fun. My only problem is convincing my wife how smart I am.
  3. We nearly have enough hands to take advantage of Scott's kind offer and strip this car to help a brother sell his car; albeit as parts! Entrepreneurial Suggestion for a Win-Win :- I can approach Performance Imports to come and do an article called, "How Long Does It Take To Strip A Thief-Magnet?" With PI doing an article with stop watch and camera in hand, it can be all witnessed for a mag feature. Meanwhile, all workers (aka buyers) work as feverishly as they can to pull the car apart - but as incentive to create some sort of record, the crew pays $10 per hour to a charity eg Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. Win-Win?? Btw, all buyers will be searched as they leave Scott's workshop and if you are caught with Scott's 'socket in ya pocket', you need to donate an extra $1K!
  4. "Fine Motor Control" in the left foot I agree, will require training; especially when one is right-handed and have been used to operating both accelerator and brake with the right foot. The former reason above applies since if you're right-handed, you'll be right-footed too (ie left hemisphere of the brain). Some people may never grasp "fine motor control " of the left foot if they're too right-hand dominant. All those years ago, I did ask Mark if that woman was right or left handed. But alas, I can't recall the answer.
  5. Passed on your authoritative recommendations to CDC. They'll be in touch.
  6. Our eldest son was once a Service Advisor at Penrith Subaru. One day a man brought in a garden variety sedan and mentioned that his brakes were squealing. Upon inspection, a phone call went out to the owner saying that whilst the car had only done about 14,000Km, not only were his pads gone but the rotors had been worn down below minimum thickness. Everything was replaced without quibble. About 13,000Km later the man brought in his car once again with the same symptoms. Mark (our son) and the Service Manager asked the owner how this could happen so soon. He (the owner) said that he hardly ever drove the car. It was his wife who drove it 95% of the time. The Service Manager asked politely if the wife could bring the car down when she could. Meanwhile Penrith Subaru charged for labour only on this occasion (whilst the car under warranty had only done about 28,000Km). When the wife came down, the Service Manager asked if she could take him for a drive (along flat local roads). Yup you guessed it > she'd drive with her left foot on the brake whilst the right was on the accelerator. The Service Manager said, "How long have you been doing that?" She said, "That's how I was taught." And the other funny thing was: her husband never took notice!
  7. You win! You can drop your guard now.
  8. Trick or treat next month. I shall send a friend.
  9. So sorry to hear. Yes and if you do wish to sell items separately, you can PM me a price on all exterior items (except for the Kranze of course). I can easily pick up from southern suburbs. Regards Terry
  10. Well T.A. was selling his "GTR" plates for $30K. The plates will be worth what someone is prepared to.......................................................................!
  11. Perth Hospital currently treating a young lady for potential Ebola, after she flew in through Kalgoorlie from West Africa.
  12. Let's party - around the infidel. ...compliments of God_speed BTW guys, nice page this!
  13. The feeling is very humbling. I get put in my spot. I regret bringing the car out in the first place. I realise I left my crying pillow at home. But also my 44 magnum. My only other alternative is to cancel my previous engagement do a U-turn and chase the infidel!
  14. I bought my "R34GTR" plates for only $200. But... 1) that was during GFC 2) they were originally posted up for $500 which in today's market is reasonable 3) in NSW, we can only lease plates compared to some other states. Hope this helps...
  15. Ok, so the update of related companies which supply Vintage Classic and Veteran Insurance are... * NRMA * RACV * SGIC
  16. Marko, kamikazi1122 aka Kyle has posted his BCNR33 f/S. It has LMGT1s on it and he also has original wheels too. You might wish to pose the question perhaps? Cheers
  17. Latest News:- * God speed, the pursuit of a 'thief' into a box canyon to-day, led to an arrest before he could hide his goods inside this shed. * With windows wound down, the distinct sound of a br-a-a-a-a-a-p noise bouncing off canyon walls made it easy for R34 officers to catch up. * Eventually in sight, this yellow coloured contraption could not be camouflaged amongst the surrounding white gums. * The driver gave up without a fight. Identified as Wag Onboy, he spilled his guts. * Contents of his guts revealed a burger and Coca Cola on autopsy. * He was meant to race at SMSP tomorrow - that was before he'd been shamed publicly * Orders of Merit will be awarded to Chris, Dave, Matt and this writer of fiction (yours truly).
  18. No reprisals from me Ravi lol I only restrain myself to pushing people's buttons ...or trying to assist in a teeny weeny fashion. The SAU.NSW Vid is stalled atm Anthony I think, until enough time can be allocated by the right people to complete this monstrous task. The pictures will come out in two magazines... 1) Performance Garage and 2) Performance Imports ...probably in a few short months. Editorials by Adrian Hodgson and Jason Round respectively and... Pictures by Matthew Everingham
  19. Some workshops can run the new pump in vitro to check flow rate. I once had a brand new but faulty 044 and the flow rate was barely over 20. Had to replace it with another 044. Yes, the faulty one was genuine from Just Jap; but alas, Bosch would not honour the warranty. They did pull a swifty though. After testing in Melbourne they sent it back in the original box. But it didn't have the texta mark I placed on the faulty one. Caught the buggers out!
  20. I find it exciting when horsepower wins from behind on the home straight! Congratulations all from #1 to #3 Big thanks to NULON a great Aussie Company for organising this 3 event series!
  21. Lovely BCNR33 indeed Kyle (because I once drove it) If you need to separate the LMGT1s due to hard bargaining, I know someone who wants them aka Marko And if you have those 2 manuals left over, I might try and repurchase them again if you let me. Kind Regards, Tez
