Speaking of torrential down pours and Singapore, i was just woken up way early and a massive storm and rain is BLOWING through here at the moment. Its noisy as hell as stuff gets blown off the roof of my condo and the rain is hammering down

Dont they lap EC at around 1:30. So with big enough semis and less weight, over a single lap the XR6 (turbo Supercar) should be in the hunt

The real queston is, how many laps do they have to bag in order to be classified a full points result. Last year Webber was on for perhaps his first GP win or at least a podium when it was called to a halt. I hope when/if the weather comes tomorrow it doesnt rob Webs of a good points haul. If its a wet race they can start on whatever tyre they want, ditto a dry race

Kerry's car looks nice, but have passed since it isnt registerable. I would consider an unregistered car if it had more fruit in the way of brakes, wheels and suspension...but since it isnt registered will keep looking around.

I will be mega pissed off if quali is delayed until Sunday morning! Bernie and his idiot mates scheduel the race and quali right in th emiddle of stormo'clock, surprise surprise you get monsoon rains. Whats wrong with a 2pm start and the race will be finished by the time the rain typically comes...Didnt they learn anything last year?

In my view, a good handling car is a good handling car. If its not understeering or oversteering then just leave it alone. If you find for whatever reason you are losing grip at one end of the car before the other, then soften up the end that is most appropriate. If you are in the middle settings i would alwas go softer trying to get the balance. So if you have understeer then soften the front. If you have oversteer then soften the rear until the balace feels better. Hard is not faster, especially if you are running average grip road tyres on the track

So F40 brakes, hi-flow turbo, std box, BC QF Rims, nismo diff...the last piece of the puzzle.... what shocks/springs ?

Well when you are speaking to Ben you may want to point out that he has some of his wires crossed He needs to change the and/or to just pads, perhaps rotors. The GT3 cars do not run Endless, not the calipers at least, and its my experience that the rotors are very commonly Performance Friction, though imagine AP or Brembo are just as popular. Brembo and then AP Racing supply the bulk of GT3, GT2, GT1 and Formula 1 teams. Endless kit is no doubt good, but....

I am curious to hear more about the XR6 Turbo. I assume it wil be lighter then a V8 Supercar, handle as good as a V8 Supercar, have more power then a V8 Supercar. I assume they will be going from the 17" tyres the V8s have to run and will go 18s, then question will be will they be able to get wide enough and sticky enough rubber under it. Just quietly, if it has a good steerer i think the barge could be a bit of a surprise packet .

Any more info on the brake setups and the Nurburgring 24hr results? I was walking around the pits at the SPA 24Hr and they may have been using Endless pads, and perhaps rotors, but Brembo and AP calipers were the norm amongst the GT1, GT2 and GT3 cars. I know the Manthey GT3s run Brembos as i had a poster of it, not sure if it was the 2008 or 2007 car, i support they could have changed in 2009. But i cant recall seeing a single car run Endles calipers
