  1. Do you recall how the MR2 was going? Looks like a trick little car ... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sw...ar-t311172.html
  2. Lakeside is such a cool track. Would love to see Tony Crotchrot throw some money at the place and bring the V8s back...hang on he screws venues for money, doesnt invest in them
  3. Any shots of the interior? Who built the cage? What brand of shocks and adjustable arms is the car running? I assume some of the mods do not comply wih Targa regs?
  4. Hey, can you post a link to the Natsoft results. Curious to see the times the MR2 you overtook at the 1min mark.
  5. hehehehe, the R35 section is always good for a laugh, lots of feathers being ruffled...sticking feathers up your bum does not make you a chicken! Reality check...we are all losers. Along with time you will never get back from reading forums, think about the money spent on cars that youwill never get back... Me, i embrace my inner loser and know that even my R32 GTst has more class then me! I wish i wasnt such a tight ass and had a camera phone, would love to have posted up the hot pink R35 i saw on the way to work here in Singapore the other week, crappiest masking job around windows/glass and had a black roof, S13 drift style. LOL, who let that fella in to the Elite R35 club That all said, keeping posting this stuff up. It all seems pretty full weight at present, real curious to see how much weight can be pulled out of these barges and what that does to their performance. The thing has been around for a while and am quite surprised nobody seems to have gone crazy with performance mods in one yet, because god knows there is enough in the aftermarket these days that you could fill the shopping trolley and builda behemoth!
  6. Webebr will be out in Q2 due to traffic ad nd crappy weather changing and stopping him from getting his quick lap in...my crystal ball is working well today
  7. We vote for the poster boy/girl. The interesting statistic would be the number of public servants who acquire their position through an internal election or public election. If the gene pool is poor then who we vote for matters for very little as the dozens of people in their deparment who devote their day to finding reasons why not to do things effeciently etc. LOL, i am biased for a number of reasons, and i am probably not being fair. A lot of politics should not be about politics but about resource management (resources: people, money, materials, etc) ... some decisions boggle the mind...and too much politics is about head lines and sound bytes to esure that they are ideally positioned to be elected, or position themselves to look other folk with vested interests while in power. The budgets they are afforded and what is accomplished with such budgets is alarming. Grow the population and tax them more is the answer
  8. Let it begin .... This is going to be interesting, i dont think i stand much of a chance with what i am packing
  9. A state is run by councils, state government and a whole myriad of public departments. It is not "run" by the few elected officials. The beurocracy you must endure when dealing with many of them, the lack or performance, poor effeciency, cost to the public and how they shape our community should not be discounted. I dont want to offend those in the public service, many selflessly devote their lives to public service, however you try running a private business where you must work with health inspectors, work with govt offices for project approvals, deal with the EPA, Dept of Transport etc. The machine works, and works better then som eother countries, we are fortunate that we are the lucky country, because we are not the smart country
  10. I have a new motto!
  11. Nah, they do me for free out of sympathy! Anyway, it only takes me a second and they barely feel a thing
  12. You mean a mut who does whatever his boss says Have to try and make some good from the bad
  13. Ditto, great post. Sadly our govt is full of people who feel they have a sense of entitlement to power/promotion through the ranks due to their tenure in the public service...NOT because of innovation, dynamic leadership and excellence. 20 years ago my dad made the comment that when he was in school all the fools that did poorly at school got jobs in the councils and governments. 20 years later and they were running the state, and badly. I dont think anything has changed between the generations and the trend seems set to continue....
  14. I just remember someone posted up earlier in the thread that they were going to be at a few GPs, wondering if this weekend was one of them
  15. I just remember someone posted up earlier in the thread that they were going to be at a few GPs, wondering if this weekend was one of them
  16. Who is in Malaysia this weekend?
  17. You guys have my email, care to forward any pics, owners details etc? I got great news today and am thinking about doing something really silly to celebrate
  18. Are you not better off putting the ECU on the transmission tunnel so it isnt getting kicked? Any info on the one for sale for 15k? At 30k i think they still represent decent value, provided its registered. I have alwasy joked with mates that if i had a clue how to i would make a one make R32 GTSt series...It would be a blast! But half the fun with this sort of car is really the build, doing things, everything just how you like it.
  19. I am guessing in the millions imply because the housing estates are forever nudging closer to the place... RIP just like Oran and Amaroo Park
  20. ... if your daily is an NA std Supra and in good condition, its highly unlikely you will brake anything. If it does, then you probably get 4 tows and 1 weeks worth of hire car (public transport) before the cost of the not having the second car gets called into question The real problem, is dont track any car unless you have some funds set aside to fix something that may go bank
  21. Not my doing...but i love it as thought its my hard work
  22. Do you still live at home? Do you have the space for a trailer (rego) another car (rego) and the track car? I tracked my std GTSt for 3 years, all it had was an exhaust, a filter and Whiteline kit. The 3rd of those years it also had a front mount. But didnt at first. I used to flog it and even when the engine light came on i used to go for another lap until backing off. Std cars ARE the best track cars. It was only when i started throwing turbo setups at my car, bigger brakes, oil cooler, engine fires, walls, semi slicks at my car that it all became expensive and confusing. The engineering of what makes them work interests me so since nobosy lets me play with their car i play with mine. But std is great if that doesnt appeal to you, you just like driving
  23. Stop and think, Webber put on something like 7 passing moves on the weekend, and two of them were messy against Hamo! So not good enough, but helps balance out how mcuh work they were all doing out there on the weekend
  24. Well come on over. Let me know when you are coming, i am in a 3 b'room apartment in Joo Chiat so accom is no problem if you need to stay somewhere...(a fun little part of town)
  25. Thats my answer right there! Seriously, if you are still studying, then provided your Supra is in decent condition then just take it to the occasional track day and punt the thing. I 10000% believe you will be a better driver if you learn how to drive something like an NA Supra, decent in the chassis so you learn the art of balancing a big heavy car but not with so much power that it will hurt you, always overheat, chew tyres and pads. Cost a fortune in fuel. And you wont be spending all your spare time preparing it, working to mod the other car. Fixing the broken down R31. Your studies cost enough money and are hard enough without throwing cars into the mix. Seriously, i have binned cars at tracks, but i am in the minority, have been very unlucky but basically i am also a farking idiot who probably overdrives too...just because its so much fun to wrestle a car and not give a shit about lap times.
