  1. All i want to know is what suspension and power is the GTSt making. I have been thinking about a PPG gearbox, but they dont make a gearset for the R32 GTSt box A good gearbox is cheaper then a bigger engine and power that jsut stresses everything else on the car
  2. So how do the Alcon Type B caliper, Brembo etc calipers fair? All i see on the Brutes are te AP setups
  3. Old Porkas would be the sort of thing i bring home...not buy as a track car to thrash as they are not that quick, hopeless in the suspension dept and expensive for parts. E36 is good in that i can throw some meaty 16" semis in the boot for hammering around on, The budget is about 6k max. Anymore and i risk doing too much damage to a decent enough car. I am buying a Cossie while i am there to brign back as a private import, and really if i am going to spend more then 6k then i am better of jsut repairing the stuff that breaks on teh Cossie at the track
  4. I rate the PF pads and rotors as the best too... just from what i have read and like yourself, talking/witnessing the gear bsing used on race cars. But calling the CP5555 caliper crap? That is the opposite to what i have seen, and observed. They typically go from car to car with the owner never getting rid of them. If there are any layign around at seasons end that are getting turfed i would buy them! Do they leak through the seals or do the bores / pistons get damaged to the point that they leak? I do hear you re the pad price, thats the main reason i have never really looked at them that closely as i am a tight ass and prefer the pad prices of the Brembo GT calipers
  5. This time of year you do get some lighter showers then other times of the year. And Singapore roads are damn good for coping with the downpours. But with it being a night race, knowing that when it rains it pours...personally i am praying for a dry race....completely different set of circumstances then the other wet races we have had. The drivers are just that , drivers...not magicians. Hey, i will happily admit i was wrong if Singapore gets one of its usual floods mid race...but i will be hoping it doesnt happen. I thought when running around the track that there was going to be several places for the brave to attack. We will see soon enough
  6. The other big thing to consider is the cost of replacement rotors. Nothing worse then when it comes time to replace the rotors and you are looking at $710 each
  7. So you want to watch a bunch of cars circulating around under the pace car for say 35-40 laps waiting for one of Singa's showers to pass? Not to mention the spectators at night in the rain. No thanks, i think a dry race at night on this track is going to be way cool. Rain will ruin it
  8. I love Irish birds....oh Emma! .... and yes, The M5s seems hell cheap as well. Only perhaps the 5l V8 isnt the best thing for the long kms between places Economy wise
  9. I can only begin to imagine how out there tonight will be. I know all about accountants and their penchant for hard drugs and fast women! Wish i could keep pace
  10. Yeh, but there was only one spectacular death...i hope when ol Silver passes that her heart lets go with the same gusto
  11. Brake pads and fluid and maybe a harness if i can get one to factory mounts is all the car will get. The only other car i can think of would be a Prosche 968...but doesnt have as much space for 2-3 guys on a tour
  12. LOL, i bet the oil burning Kraut will throw a leg out of bed "Smaug style" after one tap of the limiter coming out of the pits at Oulton Park
  13. Its not going to be a track car...just a road car with some good pads that is going to be abused, then washed and sold when i leave the shores
  14. Yeh has to be rwd and reliable for the flogging its going to cop. I buy it, my mate uses it and garages it. When me or any other friends are in town its going to be our Snetterton, Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Spa, Magny Cours etc car. So std and reliable and still fun to punt is what is required. There is a chance that it may even make it all the way to the place in Germany for some communal love
  15. I would personally like to see a dry race. Rain in Singapore at night, the first night GP race will kill it. Roads in Singapore thankfully drain well, but when it rains it Singapore its almost enough to knock you out...so heavy rain, on a green street circuit at night with light refracting off its surface. It wouldnt be a race , more a Pace Car parade:(
  16. lol, from what i saw of motorsport in India. Doesnt matter how much money you have, or dont have. A bit of a clue means you will be racing at the pointy end
  17. Yeh i suppose the tyres could have been shagged. But looking at how quick they are in all the magazine comparisons...the 997 GT2 does 1:04s at Wakefield. Russ kicked butt at Superlap in his doing i think 1:15s or 1:16s which compared to what the other cars were doing and their respective times at Wakefield...well i would have expected at least 1:06s. But yes, perhaps tyres were shagged
  18. I have been hunting UK car forums and classified for months now looking for what it is a basic fun car that will give me low key transport whilst in UK and double up as a track car. I keep coming back to E36 M3 BMWs They are common, cheap and plenty with decent mods....and i figure practical enough. This is a typical example of what you can get http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...mp;max_mileage= Anyone have any idea how decent the things are to be punted at speed
  19. Was it dry. That is a decent time...only i would have expected it to be 3 to 4 seconds quicker
  20. BUMP...couldnt be stuffed moving this along with all my other stuff
  21. I cant wait for the quote of the weekend from Hamfisted . I wonder what its going to be this week? Perhaps ... "My cocksuredness means that i know i should win the WDC. Even if i dont win, i know i should... which means i have been right all along. I am the greatest driver" He has the most fastest laps, was in the hunt at Spa. If Singapore turns on the 30deg weather then i cant see Heikki getting in front of Massa, but i can see Kimi beating both Macs
  22. Where can i read more about Kerry Wade's R32 GTSt?
  23. Price is negotiable based on what they are going in Engine is still running fine, car isnt Has a dent that needs repairing from an acco ages ago...needs some life put back in the suspension and brakes....just getting a tidy up whilst i am busy with work.
  24. Seriously, when is the Windsor going to be ready
  25. Where there is moot there is usually spoof
