  1. I have fitted R34GTT brakes front and rear on my S1 Stagea no problems. They bolt straight up. You need to trim the stone guard on the rear and pull the olives out of the lines - you'll see what I mean when you come to it. Not sure about the GTR brakes but I would think they fit as well. Are they Brembos? Or join the Willwood group buy!!!!
  2. I think in the 7 years since the last post we have sorted out the intercooler options . And yes S1 ecus are hard to chip - Greddy E-manage or Haltech are options or stick in a manual box and a Link!!
  3. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/251669-rb2530-rb30det-vvt-internal-oil-control/
  4. Don't buy a mail order chip. EFI in Christchurch can chip your ecu and dynotune it properly.
  5. Why are you not keeping the vct? Costs very little to do - there is even a thread on doing it without an external feed.
  6. You'll have to ask Duncan - I don't recall him having any problems. I'm about a week away (at last) from dropping the motor in. It will fit OK but I have a high rise manifold (like a 6boost) so I'm not too sure about the strut brace but we're Kiwis so we'll make it fit!
  7. If you have a non stock diff you should be able to find the ratio in this table if you know what car it came out of: http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/competition/lsd/pdf/lsd_price.pdf Forget the FF plenum for now - a lot of work and money for minimal gain. How bad is your fmic? Worth having a good one even if its second hand. The key to success is a really good tuner!!!
  8. If you are going to keep it get a Nistune but I'll speak the sad truth - Stageas are gas guzzlers - all you can do is mitigate it - you can't make them do 8km/100!!
  9. Top trader - good communication, quick payment.

  10. Do the front pipe - get a Nistune and a good tuner and tell him that economy is a priority. You shouldn't need two boost settings you have a controller called your right foot!! You should be able to get it down to 12L per 100km. Then there are the usual things - don't increase weight by carrying unnecessary junk around in your car, keep tyre pressures up - anticipate the traffic ahead and don't brake unnecessarily etc. Tune it on 95 but not less.
  11. Australian supplied Walbro for $126! http://www.streettot...brofuelpump.htm
  12. On my car I found it necessary to replace the aircond fan with an aftermarket slimline one. if the previous owner has just ditched the fan you might want to think of getting one too, although you might (maybe not) have to pull out the intercooler to install the fan. NB Although if he has also installed an aftermarket aluminium radiator the necessary sensor to switch the fan might be missing and you will have to install a new one somewhere.
  13. Seems he keeps his overheads low by working from home and carrying minimal stock so some items sourced overseas might take a while to arrive. The upside of that would seem to be that you are not limited by what he stocks but can choose from the entire catalogue of his suppliers..
  14. No kidding - his prices are good!
  15. Do you want to find out the hard way? Get slotted but not drilled.
  16. RIPS sell one possibly the aussie suppliers too or you can fabricate one from the stock pick up.
  17. Can't really think of anything on a minor service that would be different. The only thing that comes to mind in the longer term is that it is a good idea to take the intercooler out and clean the insides - a fairly straightforward but labour intensive job that you could do yourself.
  18. Make life much easier if you can get the Stagea loom and ecu that went with the motor. Hopefully you have a manual.
  19. Reading through Nytsky'd build thread I think he found with a GT3076 the 40mm was too small and he got a 50mm w/g for his RB25
  20. If you have +30 now and get 2in wider wheels with the same offset then they will stick out 25mm more. If you get them with +22 offset then that's another 8mm = 33mm more. Don't know if 19in rims will still fit (please don't tell me you are going to put undersized tyres on them to make them fit!). I think 17in is ideal but 18s can look OK. I like the design of the wheel you were looking at.
  21. Interested to hear how you get on with these brackets. I have tried several on my C34 without being able to fit them (very different from Skylines) although I see you have an M35 - lets hope they are the same as 350Z.
  22. Yes there are crap wastegates. There is speed of reaction, longevity to consider and of course getting the right size for your needs. Also correct mounting (most direct route for gases should be through w/g so off the turbo housing often best) . I bought a 50mm Synapse w/g which is one of the most expensive but there must be cheaper ones which will do the job.
  23. You want +22 or at least +30. Be aware that the awd has a narrower front track and I have 20mm spacers at the front to make them more or less the same as the rear. It may be different for the rwd ( I have 17 x 9in)
  24. Becasue you haven't said you have an awd car - you are listed as having a GTS.
