  1. Spacers on, so much less hover-car-ness Also some more plasti-dip action (rear gill things) Also tried my kakimotos on (won't clear brakes without spacers) Really wish i had a full set (looks high because the suspension hasn't settled, and its pretty high susp too )
  2. Syn-x 6000 has been in for a few weeks now Seems good, a little less sluggish on cold start too (hasn't been as cold tho, so probably just that)
  3. More plastidip action today Not sure if I'm a fan
  4. I wish i could find another pair for sale They currently reside in the garage
  5. those are 17x7's with 235 45 17's on them (should probably be closer to 215 50 17 with that rim width tho) offset wise they are +35 with 30mm of spacers behind them (effectively 17 x 7 +5) 17 x 9 +7 fits even better still (215 45 17's on those tho, way too small)
  6. the vanes would work exactly how a turbo works sucks in cool air from the centre, and propels it using centripetal acceleration (flings it outwards) having them curved just helps draw the air through the disc
  7. Wheel spacers have made a massive difference From hovercar (above), to normal car (below)
  8. Spacers in! So happy! They make shit wheels look acceptable Will grab some photos once its clean
  9. ah good was worried it was the wheel nuts lol is their fan any quieter than the stocker?
  10. Anyone get the gktech email? I signed up too late but apparently its one of their products at about 70% off! Just wondering what it was that they can sell at such a high discount Also, i bought a full set of their 15-30mm spacers from a guy at the drifting the other day, just waiting for my long wheel nuts to come from gktech so i can put them on
  11. I think i might do this, 2 hours on my back under the car was a pretty good sign that it wasn't going to happen
  12. Had a look and because the VLSD units are sealed, you don't really need the friction modifiers But nissan still recommends a different oil for the lsd compared to the front diffs (33gtr etc which are open) I had Gulf Western LS90 put in the front and rear diff, seems fine Anyone have some tips to get slightly rounded filler bolts out of the gearbox? The mechanic couldn't get it undone and didn't want to push it too far, he recommended going to a gearbox place
  13. Gktech open ended wheel nuts on order, once they arrive I'll start playing with my spacers :-) Managed to pick up two pairs of their 15-30mm spacers for $150 Should be able to fit my kakimotos over the front brakes now
  14. Gulf western Synx-6000 in and all diff oils changed (still need to do gearbox but the filler is too tight) Seems to have helped the economy a little bit 10.5ish l/100 which is really good for down here in tassie (about 1% flat roads)
  15. I could be wrong, but i think stao's test rig runs the jjr bellmouth dump there was some conversation in the hypergear thread about the quality of them going down I'm running the stainless one on a stock 25neo with no problems, but it could be the bigger wastegate puck on the ss2 causing problems edit: just saw stao replied to your post in the hypergear thread
  16. Went for a little drive today to drop a car off at our finish point in preparation for walking the overland track (starting tmrw) https://www.google.com/maps?saddr=launceston&daddr=lake+st+clair+road+to:Deloraine,+Tasmania,+Australia+to:Launceston,+Tasmania,+Australia&hl=en&ll=-41.787697,146.865234&spn=1.464267,3.348083&sll=-41.797091,146.673466&sspn=1.464033,3.348083&geocode=Ffvih_0dFMLECCn5UwaqNQp6qjFAD97QTckDBA%3BFY45ff0d2N-2CCmrCvVmRQBwqjGgRSKeK8GWbQ%3BFfRhhv0d-NW9CCkvAF5R5G96qjFQ6t3QTckDBA%3BFWG4h_0dMSvFCCld_YQu4aZwqjGQGd7QTckDBQ&oq=laun&mra=ls&t=m&z=9 $70 of fuel later, only to have to do some more driving tomorrow to get to our start point (Arm River) https://www.google.com/maps?saddr=launceston&daddr=Olivers+Rd&hl=en&ll=-41.561004,146.719666&spn=0.734714,1.674042&sll=-41.585276,146.220989&sspn=0.091804,0.209255&geocode=Ffvih_0dFMLECCn5UwaqNQp6qjFAD97QTckDBA%3BFcvHhf0dnKq2CA&oq=laun&mra=pr&t=m&z=10 should be interesting as i've never done a hike this big before, and we're using the stagea to get into the middle of nowhere (which should be fine)
  17. I'll get a pair to replace them But i think it may have come back alive again, which means its a bad connection somewhere
  18. registering interest in that airbox does it have the top part too? (don't need the snorkel tho)
  19. not bad for a phone pic also sorted some gktech spacers (picking them up saturday) and bought a pair of 17x9 kakimoto n-gt's (+37 unfortunately, hence the spacers)
  20. oh, and one of my headlights is out fingers crossed it just the bulb anyone have the link to the place selling the philips bulbs for a reasonable price?
  21. Synx 6000 in - happy days 2+ hours rolling around the floor only to undo one fill plug for the rear diff - sad panda who decided to make gearboxes and diffs so shit to put oil into?!?! I think i'll pay someone to do this job
  22. I'm about to drop some Smooth shift 75w-90 semi-syn in (r33 gtr box) Will let you know how it goes Also got Some Gulf Western LS90 for the front and rear diffs (its friction modified, and i read conflicting things about needing lsd oil for the stock vlsd but friction modified can be run in non lsd diffs apparently so i'm not worried)
  23. Just received my Synx 6000, LS90 (diff oil) and bought some semi-syn gearbox oil the other day Time for some loving for the stag Oh, and polished the bonnet and roof the other day
  24. make sure o2 sensor feedback is enabled on the pfc it can be turned on and off for tuning purposes this will probably only fix idle afr's
  25. I'm looking for some r33 gtr FRONT driveshafts in good condition Let me know if you see any about
