  1. Wiring in the battery terminals might be shot from switching these batteries in and out
  2. Please don't put Castrol oil in, especially not magnashite (I know 2 people whove had their engines destroyed by Castrol oil).. I would only use German Castrol or if I were desperate the EDGE line.. If I were you I would just pay afew more bucks and get a better cheap brand like pennzoil or penrite
  3. Consult software doesn't know and can't know the base timing. What you see here in the software is the ECU varying the ignition timing based on engine load/revs
  4. I'll be running my helmet cam and my window cam (and free up some room in advance unlike the adv. driving course i ran outta space on the window cam's sd card)
  5. Must be on clems good side to have organised a private track day with him? I've been told he's alittle grumpy and doesn't like hiring the track out
  6. Pulling the AWD fuse will put it into 2WD mode and those to lights will appear. Previous owner might have pulled the fuse for 2WD and never put it back in. With the ignition on (i cant remember if the engine needs to be running or not), underneath one of those computers in the boot, is the ATTESSA computer, you will know it because a redlight will be flashing code(s) underneath. Get back to us on the codes and we can help translate to what they're indicating. Here's the incabin fusebox (under steering wheel) translated and the location of the 4WD fuse:
  7. Pretty crappy recommendations in my opinion, EPX isnt suitable for LSDs, and doesn't mention anything about being compatible with hypoid type LSDs either.

  9. I would use either Redline 75w90/80w140 gear oil or Castrol SAF-XA or Castrol LSX 90/140, or maybe even Royal Purple 75w90 gear oil (Max-Gear i think it's called). can find the redline and royal purple oils cheap @ www.performancelub.com or really anything that meets GL-5 specs and is LSD compatible (80w90 is specified, though thats japanese conditions, I think 80w140 is much better for our conditions) and possibly compatible with Hypoid diffs (I'm not sure what diff R34 GT-Ts have) Rear diffs are usually no more than 1.8l
  10. Just go with the nistune setup, it's cheap and you can change your AFM size easily with the Nistune software while keeping that factory ecu.
  11. I sent my deposit last night, went and did my lvl2 CAMS license today (im with the sporting car club of SA), one of my oldest one day licenses was coming close to 6 months
  12. Nissan dealership is one option (i think ive seen a rebuild kit on rhdjapan.com)
  13. I know from experience with my R32 GTR my handbrake light came on intermittently when it the brake cylinder is halfway between max and min (abit closer to min)
  14. As for clear cover for RB20/RB25 all I know of is: http://psiparts.com.au/detail.htm?ProductID=R33S-CCGC-PC
  15. www.Maltech.com.au http://brakewest.com.au/ http://brakeswest.com.au/braided-hoses.asp http://www.braidedhoses.com.au/wherebuy.php off the top of my head. ADR is Australian Design rules/regulations, only local brands will have the ADR tags.
  16. Sure the ECU loom wasn't upsidedown?
  17. Nistune it, lets you keep the stock ECU.
  18. I had that exact same symptoms afew months ago, it was my crank angle sensor making the noise because of the clear timing cover I put on, the CAS was alot more forward thus putting more load on the CAS drive key itself..
  19. Check in the boot, underneath the ATTESSA computer is a flashing red LED and count the fault code(s).. I would make sure the connectors on the computers in the boot are firmly plugged in as well.. never heard of all 3 lights turning on at the same time.
  20. 3hrs labour I believe to change clutch so about $300 done by a workshop, maybe less
  21. Contact the forum sponsor Hypergear, they do that kind of stuff.
  22. I'm after a set of 17x9's, stock r33 gtr wheels will do, tyres or not. PM me
  23. Count me in for the day
  24. How old is the belt? timing belts break down from age, not kilometers
  25. Photos not detailed enough, can't see what exactly your pointing to.. you are aware you've got no airfilter connected to your AFM?
