This is why I do not want my R knocked OFF! Early this year I bought a worked 1999 R34GTR in good condition for $40k that already had $50k spent on it ,I had to run in the last 800Klms before the final tune, but it was not what I wanted and have now spent about $50k on mods and agreed Value with Justcars $45k.( the car was being built for track/drag work, VERY laggy DD ) Before anyone tells me I am a DH, I KNOW! but I had no idea what the car was worth, I figured with $50k just on it ( had the work invoices) and I paid $45k I got the car for less than nothing, silly me BUT it will be the way I want it Going to take Terry's ? advice when my insurance is due in January and try NRMA Vintage Car Insurance as it will be 16 years old and I will do less than 9000Klms PA and see what they have to say? MY QUESTION , do the immobilizer in the R34GTRs meet the Australian Standards. Justcars insist they do, or NO payout if it goes missing??

Hi Nick I am having the Quaife front diff and the trannie mods but have a Nismo 2-way LSD back in already, so I guess I will see how it all goes together, but I am not a race boy but I am sure there are a few blokes here that have already done it, maybe not the Quaife back diff yet. I think most are waiting for others to try the Quaife back diff as it is reasonably new to the scene and has no track record but I guess if it is as good as the front seems to be from all reports they will start using the combo . The Trannie mods seem to be adding some extra plates but can be arranged to give different response depending on how the plates are arranged and what you want. There is a web site here somewhere and if I find it I will put it in a post for you to look at

Well the worked bottom end is coming out but I never had that work done, well I guess I paid for some of it in the price I paid But I will not be too smug until it is all done and working 100% , well 99%

hahaha ^^^^^^^^^^^ that reminds me of something I tried to forget I was using a buffer polishing my pride and joy of 16 years ago a TT300ZX, I was standing on a plastic milk crate and it gave way, I went AOH and the buffer went down over the windscreen onto the bonnet, the lead stopped it and it ran down over the front wheel guard and smashed on the ground, a couple of weeks later I got it back from the panel shop, not a happy camper

Trouble is it is not allowed on the road and Ferrari keep it for you to borrow when you want to drive it. Did 1.10 on the TOP GEAR track but could not be put on their list, slicks and not street legal from what I read, could be wrong ???
