F.s Forged Rb26 Bottom End
Nismo 3.2ish replied to nuR.spec's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
If anyone else is interested in one, I also have a Built Rb26 bottom end, the car only has 23000Klms on it, but the internals have less, work completed and the car garaged 5 years ago BUT only 3000Klms on the car since the work . RB 26 Block New Nissan RB26 crank JE/Nitto RB26 forged pistons Nitto H beam connecting rods ACL race bearings main/big end Engine rebuild Hand filed rings with Dummy assemble and measure Machine work on engine block and whatever else left over from a RB30/26 Nitto 3.2 build If you are interested you could also PM me, I will get more info from the builder as I do not know what else will be discarded with the build. I would have to get the builder to give me a quality report on it or you could go and have a look, I am sure it would be OK. I will ask the builder for a fair price for it and post it ASAP or an offer may be accepted -
You blokes have some patients, did the waxing thing and now I just use a very good finishing polish and it comes up like a mirror and lasts for ages, but I am lazy

Jun 2.7 Stroker Kit Vs Nitto 2.7 Stroker Kit?
Nismo 3.2ish replied to boobeedoobee's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Michael , I dealt with Japanese and Taiwanese manufactures that had products and parts being made in China and they would have been much smaller companies than Nitto and 2 out of 6 of them had a bloke in China full time and the others did what I did and my business was small/tinny and I had a bloke there that would go to the different companies and check everything before being shipped, you maybe right, but ??- 89 replies

Jun 2.7 Stroker Kit Vs Nitto 2.7 Stroker Kit?
Nismo 3.2ish replied to boobeedoobee's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I think you would find that if Nitto has the Strokers made in China they would have a Quality control "Nitto company man" over seeing the quality and they would be of the same quality as if, Made in Japan. The trouble having things built in Asia , is quality control , as they will try and make things cheaper if they can get away with it, If you want the quality to stay at 100% you need a man on the floor to oversee production.- 89 replies

I look forward to just seeing my car again, haha When I first saw the car inside it just about killed the sale, but it had been sitting in a garage for 5 years and I think it just came into the sales yard but it cleaned up OK and is in very good condition, Except the MDF, the screen is stuffed, it works but the film has melted or whatever happens to them. It just looks sad and needs cheering up a bit and not sure if I want to start as I get carried away. shat, I am an upholsterer, good thing I retired, haha

congratulations I thought long about my build, the only real thing I had to get straight in my head was , I am NOT going to sell it and when you do not sell it they are worth as much as you spend on them -
Fark, you blokes were lucky, it does not take much to cause what could have been a lot worse. I had a 1936 Dodge when I was a kid, had just filled it up and was going like a DH , lost it and wrapped it around a light post, bent it in half , we all got out OK, well sort of OK. Petrol all over the place and my mate lit a smoke, everyone shit and he threw it on the ground, yes into the petrol and it went out, windy night no fumes I guess but it scared the crap out of me

Thanks. I will have a look into it, never noticed. Guess if I could see one that had been done it would give me a better idea of the difference it makes

Hard to see the dirt on white cars , especially in pics. Since I have had my GTR and looking at lots of pics I really like how white Rs look in all the models and with other benefits , cooler and does not look dirty after 5 minutes of being washed, haha When I bought mine, it was an on the spot thing, not because I liked how it looked, it was the hype that surrounded them over the years BUT I love the way they look now, well except for the inside. Maybe its just the colour, the seats are comfortable. Maybe when I get it back I might have a look at what I can do about the trim ?

Hi Brett I call my R a DD as I do not track it in any way, it IS a recreational ride, it does meet their criteria My Tiida is my true DD as I use it for shopping, driving the kids around and all of the other crap you have to do with your car in the normal course of the day. I am not going to be loading crap into my toy . This is what they say, it was changed from 20 year old to 15 years old "Classic vehicles, which are 15 years of age or more, and "recognized by us" as a collectable vehicle that are used for hobby or recreational purposes" "You can also drive it MORE than 9000Klms PA / use it for a business purpose or Hire "as long as you tell them in writing beforehand and they "agree to cover you".. My R is my "recreational vehicle " = fun , pleasure, enjoyment, amusement , I can use it 7 days a week at times and sometimes not at all, no chance of doing 9000Klms PA so all good.
